Faunet is no more

Warning is bloody and has death

The sound of wolves sent shivers down her spine. It made her heart race, she was alone. Not a stag in sight that might protect her. Before she could move, the wolves descended from the shrubs, their glimering teeth shining in the moonlight.Faunet belows for help, but no one comes. There are 10 wolves altogether they circle her like prey. One wolf pounces on her back and tears at her throat she cries out as the blood flows from the bite. She tries to buck it off but another wolf attacks her withers. She goes down the blood now covering her mangled body.As she struggles for breath she says"I deserve after all I've done to die this way"he tone is one of questioning. But as she struggled for air one of the wolves purposely bite at her heart. Her head thumps to the ground and she is no more.

Faunet was my first deer and it is hard to let her go.She had been ignored in the forest for so long that she wandered away from groups.
I am still deciding whether i should have her walk one last time through the forest or not.

in and out

i think that i prefer to play TEF during the fall and winter months. sometimes i'll log on during the spring and summer, but the game seems so much more homey when it gets dark outside at 6 but The Forest is still sunny-dappled and beautiful. of course, i always enjoy logging on and seeing the dark mists, candles, and bats. i've been having too much fun with my new deer Artemis walking around The Forest and taking artsey screen shots.

but anyway, i'm just posting to say i'm still alive and i'm back in the forest! moo!

I just want to say... I won't ne playing any other deer more now, because I've downloaded v3.4 and even though I tried to NOT replace the 3.1v it did anyway ;;_;; so sorry ;;_;;
I mean that I'll only be playing Cay Lynn... But she can be your best buddy though ^^'

Guarding the BZD...

Guys, it is not fun, big or clever. People are trying to get spells here, and it's more vital now than ever.

Still, soon all mine will be kitted out with Halloween spells as and where needed! When that ignoramus minideer moves...

The odd thing is, is that I've found I'm missing Liëka's original zombie antlers. I got them directly from The Night God at an ABIO, and I've always made sure it was the same data since. ....hah. Emotional attachment to data. Oh dear.

Honoring the dead

Here you lay, silenced after years of life. You were once strong, healthy, beautiful...

Well, to some eyes, you still are very beautiful, in your own way.

Who were you before? Were you kind? Brave? Stubborn? Wild?

How did you die? I would hope you passed with little pain...

Here you rest, your bones are all that remain of your life. You gave them as a tribute to nature.

How would you like me to reflect? What do you wish for me to do?

You are honored this day, not as one who has lost their life...

...but as one who has become part of the land itself.

The Diary of Seed, 10-24-10

It can't really be nostalgic: I was long out of my fawnhood before I saw candles like these, the size of trees with tops unseen, their ghostly light piercing through a white fog... But there's always something a little nostalgic about being fawns with my best friend, even if it's just a disguise. This time of year is, after all, all about disguises. So we wear our normal spells with the shape of a fawn underneath, our masks sliding off to reveal our laughing faces...

So we had to take it to the next level. Or, at least we tried to get a miniature spell to go with our fawn forms. It took a while, but we eventually reached that point. Then we rested for a while. Does a change in the body lead to a change in the heart? Is my soul lighter for being smaller -- does the past slowly erase itself? I thought about that as I sat beside him, watching him sleep as bright dreams darted behind his eyelids, and his blue brow furrowed and relaxed beneath his mask, struck grey in the moonlight...
And then he woke up and we went running! Well, a little running and a little testing our size compared to stones and logs, vanishing into the trees that were transformed tonight into mushrooms, disguised as we were. Then we dashed to the ruins and tried to play air-sitting games with the big candles, but... It didn't work out. Being so small made aiming hard, but it was very fun to challenge myself. Then we ran through the forest back to our point of origin:

The Big Zombie Deer, asleep on the rocks. To him, we would have been the size of dolls. It was at once hilarious and frightening... so we went and danced with other mini-fawns in a line, across from the normal-sized deer. We danced to backwards musicm long into ther night, until at last I bid Scape farewell and went to sleep.

Hello and a sketch dump (so there's images btw)

Hey everyone

Sorry... sorry... sorry...

I disappeared. I want to play this game so bad. But it won't connect. And I think right now I'd rather play the game than do community related things because I feel incredibly guilty about not keeping up with all of you. :C

I still have my crazy job with my crazy hours. But I have Mondays off. And since all of my friends are at work or school, I usually spend my days home alone or out exploring or walking my dog. D| So I HAVE SOME TIME KINDA. |D

And I'm sure my deer are missing the forest. Especially Chenaniah. Sometimes I hear him cry at night. :|

Um.

Um.

I've been drawing a lot I guess. If you watch my dA you've probably seen many of these. But oh well. I tried to pick out ones that I thought this community would be more interested in. (And of course there are a few that are ACTUALLY TEF related D8)

The Little Blessing That Went a Long Way.

I found out about TEF completely by accident. The Forest is not a blessing in disguise, but a blessing in plain view. The Forest's newest (or fairly new) edition to its friendly family, is my little Odd! A fawn yes, and I know some people quickly tire of Fawns, but the Stags that I met were so gentle and pleasant! Very patient too.
I know this is probably the wrong place to post this but, The Forest has proved to be a completely awe inspiring and enchanting addition to my imagination. I have an art show coming up in April-May, and naturally I'm working my little tail off trying to get a decent collection.
I desperately want to create probably and 18 by 24 watercolor based off of my fawn and some other select deer. I could easily fabricate some, but to truly introduce myself to the community (that seems rather tight-knit), I would love to include some Stags (and maybe a fellow fawn or two) to be included in my art show!
Naturally I would love to share the picture with you once it is complete! I really want to open the community up to be a part of my production! If you are interested, comments are more than welcome to indicate your approval!
