Quad arrived near the Playground in the afternoon and set up a few things for his date with Cay Lynn. He prepared some hors d'oeuvres with pond water and brought some candles and potpourri for a romantic mood. He hoped everything would go well this afternoon.

Quad arrived in the afternoon with a few odds and ends for a romantic evening with Valentine. He set some candles on the old bridge and lit them, preparing some gourmet mushrooms and sweet flowers for a dinner. He set everything up, watching as the sunlight was already starting to fade in the afternoon.

Letting out a nervous sigh, he waited for Valentine to arrive.

Nearby but out of sight, Trunks, watched the date. "I've only got about two years left as a ghost...", he thought, "...but maybe I can make them count for someone special."

The blackbuck arrived at the Old Oak just past midday, a good time as there weren't any deer sleeping there. He set up a nice lunch of specialty mushrooms and pinecones with some pond water for his date with Stali. The ambient sound of the wind flowing through the Old Oak was pleasing to his ears, and he was glad that the weather was perfect for the date.

The blackbuck antelope set up a romantic evening for his date. Set by the Pond, he gathered some candles and lit them around. He also prepared some mushroom and pinecone hors d'oeuvres with blueberry wine (that Chris gave him). The afternoon light was perfect for the mood he wanted for the date, and nearby dragonflies buzzed over the water, the flutter of their wings as well as the ebb and flow of the Pond giving a lovely ambiance to the area.

Quad awaited nervously for his date, and hoped everything would go okay.

A few years ago I got to meet 3 wonderful ambassador wolves at a Wolf Conservation Center. Here they are. Although I didn't get to pet them (they trusted their handlers, these wolves are NOT tame and should never be considered pets), I actually, with a group, had a howling session with them and it was one of the most amazing things I've ever done.

Within the past year, all three have died- the last one, the oldest, the female named Kaila, passed away yesterday.

It puts great sadness in my heart to know animals I felt a great bond with have left us, when they taught a world around me so much. I watched people who were terrified of wolves grow more curious and accepted of them the whole time I was there.
