Pleased to meet you, don't forget my name [Character Interaction Post]

Draak's picture
Been meaning to try to make one of these for a little while, but this would be your usual character interaction blog thing where you can interact with any of my deer (since getting inforest can be a pain sometimes, also timezones).

Here you can:

Send any of my deer an ask/question/bla. I MIGHT draw these out but not sure yet.
You can also ask their human versions things too.
Questions can be as silly or as serious as you like.

Have minor rp things.

Other interactiony things I can't think of cos it's past midnight.

(Click pictos for bios)

Chime
Draak - My first TEF deer. He's been around a long time (not an OOC deer) has a kid and has seen and experienced a fair bit.

Aura - (Who I can't remember her text colour for) Daughter to Draak and Mitra, she's your average little kid and will talk your ear off about whatever is on her mind at that point in time.

Corvus
Corvus - Second TEF deer of mine, has also seen and experienced a lot in his time. Is slowly coming out of a deep depression and isn't too great when it comes to being social.

Chime
Chime - Miss Fusspot/Motherly of the year. She's pretty much like Mrs Weasley. She'll welcome you with open arms, but try to walk all over her and she won't take any of it. Just ask Helel's Jareth

Kostya
Kostya - he is Kostya and he likes the blueberries Will sing for you at the tiniest of hints. Kostya's like a friendly dog; always willing to play and give cuddles but will also simply flop and be quiet company.

Christian
Christian - When not being an awkward TEF deer, he's your typical English gentleman with a side of dork. Also a huge music buff. He also kills people to live.

Jehoel
Jehoel - He's still a WIP but I think I have just enough to be able to include him here. Either way it'll help his development. A Cherubim, second ranked Angel after the Seraphim. He's pretty chill lol and laid back, most likely won't preach the word of God to you, he knows others tend to find it irritating. Also likes tea

??? Bio
??? - Also a WIP. The timespace deer thing who's literally half a skeleton half living being. He's still being ironed out but he's rather mischevious with a bit of morbidity.

STALKING THIS SO I CAN DO

STALKING THIS SO I CAN DO THINGS ON IT SOMETIME. HAELO.

*pokes* 8D

After Kettu had left, Ross noticed Christian sitting nearby. And promptly scampered back to his tree to hide behind it, warily scrutinizing the stag. "...H-Hullo."
Draak's picture

8] Christian had arrived on

8]

Christian had arrived on the scene as Ross and Kettu were talking, not wanting to intrude he'd sat a small distance away. That and the last time he'd seen Kettu she'd seemed startled by him. He kept his nose out of their business only bringing his attention back to them once the fox had left and Ross had moved.

"Good day to you." He said warmly. He didn't fail to noticed the other seemed a bit wary. He didn't blame him especially after what'd happened with the flaming horse and all that.
Echosong's picture

The formal greeting made Ross

The formal greeting made Ross a little less nervous. Being polite wasn't usually a sign that someone didn't like you, right? He shifted away from the birch tree a bit, ears perked up. He wondered if the stag would mention the fight with the fire-horse or not. Or if he would comment on his.. odd behavior. But he supposed he should be polite too, and after a moment of hesitation spoke again.
"Uhm. Thanks for helping me th' other day."
Draak's picture

He watched Ross ease up

He watched Ross ease up slightly and considered it a good sign, since Ross had been a bit flighty since that day. Once again Christian couldn't blame him for behaving as such, revealing you're not exactly human or in this case average deer by accident never seemed to go smoothly. He remembered the time it'd happened with him and his friend Keith back in the human world, which involved suddenly teleporting infront of his friend...while coated in blood. Christian wondered if it'd break the ice by outright mentioning what he was, but then he didn't know how well his kind were treated in such a place. He decided to dwell on it.

"Oh!" He'd been wondering if Ross had any recollection of it. "I ah, no problem." He gave a small laugh. "I'm...not much the fighter, I apologise. But I was glad to be of help."

He paused for a moment. "I hope you don't mind me asking but...just what was that thing?" He said, referring to the conjured creature.
Echosong's picture

He nodded slightly, and

He nodded slightly, and scooted a little closer. Christian didn't seem to know about his being a myling after all; the buck assumed that if he had in fact noticed Ross's 'attack' he would probably freak out or stay very far away from him. He'd just relaxed when Christian mentioned a 'thing'. Ross tensed again, almost freezing up entirely. Did the 'thing' mean Kyrian's creature, or him?
Whichever the stag meant, Ross decided to assume he meant the creature. Ross shrugged, his expression purposefully blank. "Haven't the foggiest. Fire-face made it appear. Said it was a 'nightmare' or something."
Draak's picture

Oops. He thought. Picking up

Oops. He thought. Picking up on Ross freezing at the mention of "thing". He'd realised he should have been more specific, but in his defence he had no idea what either Ross or the nightmare thing was. To him it was just thing and...thing.
However Ross kept talking, answering his question.

"I see." Nightmare conjuring flaming horses were a new one to him. He'd seen his fair share of supernatural critters in his lifetime outside the forest, but this was certainly something. "....is...that a...uh something they usually do?" He said awkwardly, trying to keep the conversation going while tiptoeing around the topic of asking what had actually happened to Ross that day, even if he was curious about it.
Echosong's picture

My internet connection

My internet connection vanished for a minute, sorry that Ross left.
-

"Dunno." Another shrug. He'd never had to deal with a nightmare 'thing' before, though he'd had several encounters with Kyrian previously. With all the talking about the creature, Ross found that he again had to keep himself from thinking about it. Its many legs, its face.. Ugh. He shook himself and turned his attention back to Christian. Studying the stag's expression, he noted that he seemed curious. That only made Ross curious in turn. Was he going to ask about what had happened? And why did Christian seem so odd? His head tilting inquisitively, Ross simply stared back. He was never much good with manners.
Draak's picture

(It's ok, Christian hasn't

(It's ok, Christian hasn't moved XD)

Christian gave a nod, he figured the nightmare thing was just as unknown to Ross as it was to him. He briefly considered asking Keith about it later, he'd been here longer than him and might have an idea. Or maybe it was better left unknown.

He looked back at Ross, wondering what was going on in his head. He appeared to be giving him an equally as curious stare. His thoughts turned to wondering about himself. He wondered if he was that obvious to some of these forest beings. He'd never scared animals, luckily. But then these weren't ordinary animals and some might be able to sense what he was. He was tempted to slip a in a bit of light humour, mentioning if he was "that obvious". But then he feared that it might backfire, and Ross may not know what he was talking about and then inevitably ask about it.
"...do I have something on my face?"He said with a slight chuckle and briefly smiled. Trying to ease the situation.

Echosong's picture

Ross giggled, grinning back

Ross giggled, grinning back and revealing sharp, gleaming fangs. "No!" He scuffed at the ground with a hoof. His curiosity too much to hold back, he made an attempt to ask a question, albeit in a roundabout fashion. "'S just... hm." The myling didn't exactly know how to phrase his question, and sort of poked at Christian, gesturing vaguely. "You're.. different. Sorta. I mean.. hmpf." He made a frustrated sound, and paused to think. "I mean, you smell different an' stuff."
Draak's picture

Christian snickered, although

Christian snickered, although it didn't appear as such, he didn't fail to notice Ross's teeth. His curiosity heightened. Interesting. Obviously Ross wasn't a vampire like himself, he would have sensed that. But then the trait didn't exactly narrow it down, fangs was a pretty common trait and wasn't exclusive to vampires, and even then vampire fangs came in a huge variety.

Christian's snickering faded as he listened to Ross fumble a question around. His ears twitched and he exhaled. He had never took into account his scent. He wasn't used to the idea of other beings being able to tell he was different by scent alone. Sure the idea wasn't alien to him, he just surrounded himself by people/beings that didn't have such an attuned sense of smell in the human world. Usually if such a thing was brought up, if people thought he was different he'd just brush it off and lie, covering up what he truely was. However this time it was different, he couldn't cover up a scent with a lie. It hadn't occured to him to roll in something to cover it.

"I smell...different?" He gave an awkward grin, subtly giving Ross an idea of what he was. He too had fangs, four in total in his upper jaw. Christian had a rather large sense of foreboding and regret, but he couldn't lie his way out of this particular scent that he carried. "....I guess I...I suppose I would carry such a scent." He said somewhat vaguely. He didn't let on just how anxious he was. "I'm...not born of this place."
Echosong's picture

"Well, it's not really how

"Well, it's not really how you smell. It's.." He made another vague gesture. "It's like smell. But not. 'S less obvious. I can just sort of tell." Ross sighed. "That probably didn't make any sense." He muttered.
The myling marveled at Christian's fangs. Four of them. Four. That was acually pretty cool. "Woah."
Ross's head tilted as he pondered whether he should mention his own situation. He concluded that he may as well now that he'd brought up the subject. After a moment of nervous hesitation, he spoke. "Oh. Er... I'm not either."
Draak's picture

"You'd...be surprised." It

"You'd...be surprised." It was hard describing how beings could detect one another. Christian couldn't exactly describe what humans and other vampires "smelt" like to him in the human world. In this forest he was also able to detect deer, he didn't know how, but he could. "You just..." Christian then gave a short laugh out of amusement. "It's like a sixth sense."

He felt a bit more at ease at Ross's intrigue at his teeth, also that he hadn't fled at the small inkling at what he was. "We appear to be somewhat teeth buddies." A hint of his dorkiness coming through his otherwise formal visage.

"No?" He said, Ross's words bringing him to full attention. On the inside he was pleased to know he wasn't the only one who wasn't native to this forest...aside from his friend Keith. Maybe such a thing wasn't as uncommon as he first thought.

(expect some dumb "Teeth buddies" art at some point lol)
Echosong's picture

"Huh. Guess so." Ross smiled

"Huh. Guess so." Ross smiled nervously.
Teeth buddies? He wondered, trying not to laugh at the phrase. And burst into quiet giggles, as children are wont to do in such situations.
Though still rather anxious about someone finding out what he was, Ross was feeling better than before. He nodded, still trying to catch his breath.
Draak's picture

Christian grinned in return,

Christian grinned in return, glad that he'd successfully improved the mood of the situation a bit more. Of course it didn't eliminate all the concerns he had but it certainly helped.

He still wasn't keen on outright saying what he was, feeling much more comfortable delicately touching on the subject with subtleties instead. "....Well, one of my friends was able to bring me here, I still do not know how he's able to do it, but yes. I was not born here." He gave a slightly more serious pause, contemplating his words, thinking about how to word his next sentence. "...I have existed for quite a long time, you wouldn't think things would surprise me anymore, but...sometimes the world catches you off guard and something like this happens." He said, further hinting at what he was.
Echosong's picture

"Ah." So he was really old,

"Ah." So he was really old, but looked young? He could understand that. Ross scooted forward once more, tucking his legs neatly underneath himself and gazing keenly up at Christian. "Are you from the human world, then?" It almost felt like a guessing game.
Draak's picture

"I...am" Christian was

"I...am" Christian was slightly surprised, he didn't expect such an answer. The forest and it's inhabitants once again surprising him. "You are familiar with the human world?" He asked, intrigued.
Echosong's picture

He glanced around quickly to

He glanced around quickly to make sure nobody else was nearby before answering. "...Yeah." Ross shuffled his hooves in the grass, pondering this interesting information. "Um.. what year was it when you were there? Or when you were born. Whichever." He then remembered his manners and hastily added, "Er, if you're okay with telling me that."
Draak's picture

(Okay! c: )
Draak's picture

Christian quirked a brow at

Christian quirked a brow at Ross's glancing around. He found it strange that Ross wanted to keep his answer between the two. Going to the human world isn't taboo is it? He couldn't help but wonder. His ears flattened slightly out of worry, and he shifted a little. "...Going to and from the human world isn't frowned upon is it?"

"Quite recently actually. Today infact." He gave a small smile that faded slightly as he pondered over the second part of the question. He'd already given away he'd lived for a very long time, he figured he might as well elaborate a little on it. He looked away for a moment, looking up at nothing in particular as he thought. "....I was born in a time where powdered white wigs, elaborately embroidered jackets and vests, white stockings and black boots were in fashion." He said, reflecting back on his past, Christian then looked back at Ross. "...a long, long time ago."
Echosong's picture

"No. 'S just that nobody

"No. 'S just that nobody knows that I'm from there." Well, besides a couple people.
Ross frowned. Being from the tenth century, he had no idea what had transpired in the past hundreds of years between him dying there and being reborn in the forest. He'd assumed that not much time had past; thinking it was currently somewhere around the 14th century, or 15th at the latest. "Hhm. I don't think we're from the same time then. I didn't see very many hu- people wearing wigs or fancy jackets. Only the really important people had stuff like that." He'd almost said 'humans' instead of people, and had to remind himself that he'd been one. Been one very briefly, but he supposed it still counted.
Draak's picture

"Ah." He felt better knowing

"Ah." He felt better knowing that it wasn't something he had to hide. However it did seem like something that Ross wanted to keep hidden and decided not to press on about Ross's dimensional/world travels. While on that train of thought, he didn't fail to take into account the other beings he'd seen in the forest, he wondered how many of them were native born or had also found their way to this place via whatever means. "...this place appears to be one that is easily accessed? Just judging by the vast amounts of beings here."

Christian's ears perked up, it wasn't often he'd met someone that was older than he was. Being well versed in history he was able to pick up on said fact. Of course he wasn't able to exactly pinpoint where or when Ross was from. "Really?...It sounds like we may be a few centuries apart...or around there." He shrugged, giving a rough estimate. Christian also silently groaned to himself, being indirectly remined of how old he actually was.
Echosong's picture

He nodded. "Ja, I think so. A

He nodded. "Ja, I think so. A lot of different people seem to end up here."

"Probably..." Ross thought a minute, wondering about what the human world was like currently. How much time had passed, if Christian had been born a few centuries after him, and still "a long, long time ago"? "So, what century is it now?"
Draak's picture

Christian also nodded,

Christian also nodded, aknowledging Ross's response. "I wonder if it's some kind of hub or nexus where all kinds of beings live and gather....as deer for an unknown reason." Christian theorised. "Strangely enough this place does not appear to have a distinct purpose other than to have it's beings socialise in various ways or roam alone. But I don't know, I haven't been here for very long."

"It is currently the 21st Century. Time has done quite a number on the world." He mused. The ways inwhich the world had evolved since the time he was born was phenomenal to say the least.
Echosong's picture

The myling's eyes widened at

The myling's eyes widened at Christian's reply. "The- wha-..." Ross stuttered. "The 21st century?! That's.. it's been nine hundred years?" He couldn't help bursting out with incredulity. He'd been born, and had died nine hundred years ago, and had somehow wound up here, in the 21st century. It made his head hurt just thinking about it.
Draak's picture

Christian slowly nodded.

Christian slowly nodded. "21st Century." He watched Ross react and finally put a figure on the number of years he'd been existing. 900 years. Christian had to hand it to supernatural beings and their ability be completely deceptive when it came to age and appearance. He himself had obviously experienced it but Ross took him slightly aback. He wasn't sure of Ross's physical age, but he definately didn't appear old. "...If it at all helps..." At this revelation Christian felt that he could reveal his actual age instead of dancing around it. "...even a little, I was born in the late 1600s." He wasn't sure how comforting his words would be, especially since 300+ (I worked out his actual age once, I can't remember what it was 8I) seemed young compared to 900.
Echosong's picture

"What? I'm not 900, silly. I

"What? I'm not 900, silly. I died before... 11-something. 1105? Or '20?" He couldn't remember what year it had been. An easy thing to do, seeing as he had lived in the wilds of Scandinavia for however long his past life was. "I guess I sort of... ended up here somehow. Maybe the times got mixed up." He laughed dryly.
Draak's picture

"Oh I see, my apologies."

"Oh I see, my apologies." Christian gave a quiet chuckle. Though quietly he was the slightest bit disappointed that it turned out he hadn't met someone older than he was. "Now that's quite interesting, I'd always presumed everyone was from the same time frame. But I guess that's obviously not the case."

Christian paused for a moment. "So that means, from the sounds of it you died, there was some timey shenanigans, and you uh, ressurected here?" The fact that Ross had apparently died and ressurected interested him, Ross certainly didn't appear undead. Christian wasn't irked or phased by the theory, he himself was technically a walking corpse.
Echosong's picture

"'S alright." He

"'S alright." He smiled.

"Something like that." Ross mumbled, shifting slightly. He hadn't remembered any of his past life before being killed in the forest and coming back, and kind of wished he didn't remember it now. Hazy though the memories were, they were... unpleasant, to say the least.
Draak's picture

Christian could still recall

Christian could still recall his past, the time when he was still human, most of the memories were pleasant but some he wished he could forget. He didn't really want to keep thinking about it and let his mind stray.

"...so you're a....time travelling zombie?" He joked, trying to lighten the mood again. He still wasn't sure what Ross exactly was, but their conversation had so far been enlightening to him regardless.
Echosong's picture

"Heh, you sound like my

"Heh, you sound like my cousin." Ross chuckled. "But no, I'm afraid I'm not a zombie. And I can't time travel." Even if he could time travel, he was sure it would only make everything a lot more complicated than it already was. Memories got very confusing occasionally, especially with the whole 'past life' thing.
Draak's picture

"Haha aw." Christian gave a

"Haha aw." Christian gave a bit of a laugh. "You have relatives here?" He figured the idea wasn't so far fetched, he was aware that the deer around here bred having seen the odd baby that didn't appear to be your normal Forest fawn.
Echosong's picture

"Adopted family, yes." Ross

"Adopted family, yes." Ross nodded, smiling. "When I got here I was a baby, and I couldn't remember my past life so.. yeah. I have a family. Kind of a big one."
Draak's picture

"Ah." He nodded. Christian's

"Ah." He nodded. Christian's demeanor didn't change even though he wondered what it'd be like if he was still in contact with his present day family and had been throughout the years. He knew there had to be some somewhere. But it probably wasn't a good idea to suddenly turn up on their doorstep claiming to be a ridiculously old relative.
Echosong's picture

Ross looked inquisitively at

Ross looked inquisitively at Christian for a moment, wondering if it would be a good idea to ask about his family. But something about the stag, perhaps the fact that he'd been born in the late 16th century, kept him from doing so. The myling asked a different question instead. "What was the 16th century like? Is it very different from mine?"
Draak's picture

(TIME TO DO SOME GOOGLING.

(TIME TO DO SOME GOOGLING. There's probably going to be some innacuracies here asdfasd which is kinda sad cos Christian would actually be really good at giving said comparison.)

"You were born in the 12th Century correct?" Christian was pleased to be asked something historical, he had a keen interest in the subject and when he could, was employed to teach the subject at local universities. "There was your usual quarrels and what not, they were still going, but, it had it's differences yes. By the late 16th century there had been several advancements in the fields of science and technology...The first telescope, discovery of bacteria, teeny tiny blood vessels...as well as the first documented case of a blood transfusion." He thought for a moment. Briefly amused that there had been a handful of blood related discoveries in said century."Sadly there was also the Plague in 1665 that killed thousands of people. Luckily I missed out on that one, that was before I was born." He paused again. "Classical music was still a thing as well." Christian gave a chuckle. "...There's quite a bit going on."
Echosong's picture

"Er. Late 10th, actually."

"Er. Late 10th, actually." Close enough.
Ross's eyes widened at the information. "Wow. I don't know what those things are, but they sound.. interesting." Though he shuddered at the thought of such a plague. In the 10th Century, a thousand people was a lot of people. "Thousands? That's awful."
Draak's picture

"Oh, my apologies. The whole,

"Oh, my apologies. The whole, timey shenanigans right yes." Christian hadn't run into anyone in Ross's situation, having been born centuries ago then died and was somehow in the present without living through said centuries. "Indeed, may have cracked around a hundred thousand. It's phenomenal, devestating but phenomenal." He was lucky to have lived through the late 16th Century, as well as his parents before him. Coming from the aristocratic side of life, conditions were better than the lower class areas. And once turned, his Vampirism aided his survival further, granting him immunity from disease.
Echosong's picture

"Yikes." Ross made a face. It

"Yikes." Ross made a face. It was a good thing that the Plague had -apparently- gone away by now. "Hhm. Well, other than that 'Plague', it sounds pretty good."
Draak's picture

"Mmhmm" He nodded in

"Mmhmm" He nodded in agreeance. "Ah, yeah it had it's charms, although I do have to admit I much prefer the present day to it quite a bit. All the so called "mod-con-" He stopped, realised that Ross may not know what he was talking about. "Basically everything became more refined and improved as time progressed."
