Well, I just got a new 6 week old chuahauah puppy this week, and he's been eating a lot of my spare time while I'm not at work... and on top of that Blood Sport on DA has begun, and as a participant some of my activity online has been set aside for that. Soooo yeah, if I don't seem too active lately, it's because of that. ^^; But I'm still here!

Especially where there aren't any!


D'yua ever have those freaky moments where your computer suddenly starts telling you that you have some hundred viruses or something infecting your pc, then demanding for you to download and pay for a particular product to get rid of them? Then do you actually download what's reccommended, forgetting you have virus protection and such already, and pay some $50 for the full version of a REAL virus to come and infect?

Haha... That used to freak me out, and if it were a few years back I'd have been flipping right now...
But eh, yay for having taken CPR (Computer Repair and Programming) and knowing that when something like that happens, you're not REALLY infected - the front face of a single virus tries to trick an easilly scared and ignorant person into downloading the full virus.

If you ever see that sort of thing starting, what you should do is immediatly run your already existing antivirus software to see if there is anything really there. If you want to be extra sure, run your spyware program, and any registry cleaners or CCleaner at the same time. If all comes up clear; chances are you don't have some hundred viruses. The page that claims you have them will usually be rigged to start downloading even if you try to tell it not to... so what you do is X out of your internet or browser, and go back in; and freaking don't let it complete any download. You'll be fine.

Mid-motion of making a sort of 'forget this' movement.

I've been noticing my eldest dog acting strange the last few days; like he's been in pain. He's been waking around with his back scrunched up to one side and his forepaws really close together, sometimes limping off one. I think he's hurt his back or something, but he aso has had these three tumors for a while (one on his back leg, one on a foreleg, and one on the side of his face.). My middle-aged dog decided to break the one on his face a few days ago(without breaking skin, just the clump underneath), and since then that one dissappeared, but since it dissappeared the oldes has been acting like he has been in a rapid deterioration...

Now we just tried to let my three dogs out, but the eldest could barely stand up, and fell over on himself three times in a row before we coud get him on his feet... then he took four steps at most and collapsed again.

I'm exceedingly worried about him, but we can't get him to a vet until tommarow...

Well, we took him to the vet today, and found out that there was something messed up in his neck or upper spine leading to a slow paralisis... and we wound up having to put him to sleep.

How much I love, respect, and appreciate ALL OF YOU. I could never express it well enough.

In all the years that I have been an RPer and Writer, and in all the communities I have been part of in the several years that I've been online... TEF has been the most welcoming, open minded, comfortable place I've ever been to. It's a better place than home.

It's suprising but lately I've been thinking about the communities and sites that I used to frequently visit, and even assistant manage/manage. I spent five years running a Sonic the Hedgehog based RP site which had a community that never really passed 31 or so people, and said site was hacked about once or twice a year, usually by one of three people from a rival site that most people decended from including myself. In the first few years it was a paradise, the community and site I managed, but eventually the less approachable people from places I left joined and in time made the place a living hell that I now question my own reasoning for in keeping alive. In the last two years and after multiple remodelings, I had become a very untrusting person; very cynical and easilly provolked. I had a long run of depressions that would occasionally break and switch into a frenzy of updates and such that once completed, looked great. Then in those last two years, claims started up that the place was 'dieing'. Even though it was still remotely active. These claims eventually fell threw, wearing everyone down until most stopped comming. But at the same time that these claims began, I personally came under a lot of fire as the manager. A group of about 7 or 8 people (a substantial number in a small community which had dwindled to maybe 12 or 13), had begun to take every chance they could to pick at my work and heavilly critique it, and me personally. In the final year of my own activity there, before I joined TEF, I was almost constantly under verbal/typed attack, rather than critique.
