It was cold, bitterly cold. Snow was heaped up in powdery piles, a thousand pinpoints of color glimmered on their smooth surfaces. the trees branches groaned with added the added weight of frost and ice. Many had formed huddles to shield themselves from the frosty winter air. He did not feel the cold, in fact he felt nothing at all, but he did stare intently at the small form before him. His long purple tongue slithered out of his beak like a summoned serpent and caught several snow flakes, the action would have seemed innocent or cute if done my anyone but him, in truth the only reason he had done the it at all was because a small fawn had playfully licked at the falling flakes moments ago. He had been watching the young one for some time and all of her actions her repeated, with a lethargic slowness that only comes from one that should be dead. She smiled, his twisted beak cracked into a horrible grin. She danced, his chipped hooves shuffled in the snow and tattered feathers droped from decaying skin. She had been playing with a companion, but with a bow and a smile the brightly colored stag disappeared. It was what he had been waiting for. She had her back to him still staring after her friend. Lurching forward he stumbled up to the fawn, his chest bumped into her back. Turning around she looked up at the looming figure before her. He could see a scream building up in her thin chest. Snapping his head forward he grabbed her face in his scisor-like jaws. He felt her small skull crunch under the pressure, so delicate, like an egg shell. He let go and watched her stagger around with gleeful amusement. Laughing he stumbled around in circles with her. “whee!” the sound was garbled and mangled coming out on his shredded throat. Stopping he walked forward and pinned her small frail body under his hooves. He almost gently licked away the grey of her brains that spattered the side of her pale face.

Last one of these posts, I swear.

I've decided (well, more like the community has decided ) what my fawn's name will be. The unnamed fawn will now be named Aleit (meaning of the Noble Sort)

Sorry if you guys thought that Seven was a better name, but I like Aleit more If I end up making another deer, I will most likely name him/her Seven

Recap of Oni's day: 10/2/09

First...Oni put on a Halloween set to dress up for awhile...he loved the snow


He had lots of fun dancing with these group of deer

From left to right: Rai, Oni, Luis, Fay, Quamar, & Bell

He then relaxed with them and spotted Nex passing by


He hopped around with Quam quite a bit--he really loves romping around and having a good time

He also helped Quamar in stopping a fight that appeared to be going on. They stepped in between the two until one left and went on its own separate way.

After that he enjoyed some peace and alone time by the pond--it was so pretty with the snow


Next he rested upon the bridge with Quam and Virgil :3



Oni enjoyed yet another group-dance session--some familiar faces, Quammy and Virgil, and then others that are not-so-familiar BUT, lots of fun all the same ^^

Hoorah for snooow. Tea had fun this morning. She might be on later. 8D

MUNA: Native American Hopi name meaning "overflowing spring"
NOVA: Native American Hopi name meaning "chases butterflies."
AYASHE: Native American Cheyenne name meaning "little one."

EDIT: I've also been thinking of a way to use the two top names. I made another account (http://www.endlessforest.org/community/arrowstagg) So, the name that I like /most/ of the top two names will be the name of this fawn, and the second name will go to the fawn that has the other pictogram. Does that sound like a good idea?

Okay, I've asked this before and I'll ask again, how do I get transparent images to work on this site? I use The GIMP, and I save it as a PNG file, and it's transparent on photobucket, but it turns up white on here. Any help?

Also, in-forest I just had the entire DotD set CAST on me! They were also capable of casting the crying mask on me! This deer:


(Sorry for the crappy pic, but for some reason the screenies turn partially transparent when I have TEF in windowed mode. :/ )

I honestly don't know how they did it, but I just hope this doesn't explode. If you would care to tell me who you are, I would like to know. And I'm sure all of us would like to know how you did this.
