"Friend's Forever"

My eyes blinked; the light streaming in blinding me for moments. I gazed out with blurred vision that soon cleared, to look on a world I did not know.

I was in awe and wonder at the new sights, smells and sounds. I gazed out; beyond the trees, seeing what I could. I had wish to see more, but my legs, they didn't seem to want to move. I struggled with them; to move them under me. So wobbly they were; I stumbled a few times before they started to hold. Now I was free to set forth into this new place.

I heard the sounds of encroaching beats as one like me nearly ran me down. Not even a look; not one glace to say that they even saw me, nearly mowed me over. Shaken now; the wonder losing grace over my heart.

I walked more tentatively now; watching around me; my ears flicking about with speed. As I looked I saw something stand out of the greens and browns around; Black and white fur bundled up, sleeping. I slowing crept up to it not knowing what would happen. Closer still I came, but not a move did it make. Sniffing at the air around it I felt it was best to just leave it be; don't want to make a mistake.

Turning away I was startled to see a little one like me, sleeping in a bundle near a stream; I was so tunneled on the black and white one that I had lost sense around me it seemed. Sounds drew my attention from the sleeping one to a field across the stream; others running, jumping, prancing about. Part of me wished to get closer; see them up close; join in play, but as I neared fear took hold as one rushed past me from behind. The only think I could think was run, run as fast as you can; and so I did.

I ran past them, dodging as a few crossed over my path. It almost seemed like they wanted to run me over. Fear was the only thing I knew then; pure fear that gripped my heart; a heart that felt like it was trying to beat right out of my chest. My new legs ached, not having enough time to adapt to such movement and yet I still ran.

Instinct told me to find cover; I looked for a place to hide, but everywhere I ran there seemed to be others there. My legs were weakening with every fall and rise; I needed to find haven soon.

Colors of yellow and pink came to view; thick, tall grasses; seemed like a place that I could blend into easily. By that time I didn't really care; it looked safe; there was no one there but the birds that fluttered about overhead.

I collapsed.
Safe, for now... I hoped.

So warm...

"I'm still a 'noob' in many ways, but I feel that I'm getting the hang of it slowly.

I never believed I'd be able to fit in within a community, lacking a presence as much as I do. And yet I've managed to make this forest my home within a few days... What makes this place 'home' is the presences of others, and I appreciate those I meet, even if I'm not in the mood to talk to them. Of course, if you offer to dance I'm not gonna refuse.. Now, sometimes what I motion is odd, and I feel embarrassed, but the fact that others stick around even after they see my failure... well, that makes my day, y'know?"

Vipin was not used to unexpected visits. He had very few friends, despite being someone more classy than most, and more handsome, at that, and not many of them came to call as it were. When his doorbell rang, his narrow eyes widened briefly, before he set aside the book in his thin hands and rose from the couch. Goodness, it’s late, who would be calling?...

When the door creaked open at his hand, confusion merely doubled at the sight of the woman standing there. Being a tall man, Vipin was used to looking down on people, so her height threw him off, but her green eyes quickly pulled his attention, and he inclined his head slightly. “Uh, Tuna? Hello…do come in.”

She followed him in without hesitation, a smile twitching at her lips to indicate her amusement at his puzzlement. Then again, from the times he had met her over the years, he understood she was amused at almost anything. The two moved into the living room before Vipin turned around, only allowing himself to look over her once. She looked older than the last time he saw her, sometime last summer – her green eyes, ringed and flecked with a darker shade, still glinted, but with more weary intelligence than before. Clearing his throat, the dark man smiled faintly and spoked – “What are you doing here?”

“Ha. Nice way to treat a woman.” Grinning, T rested her arm on the back of the sofa she was standing next to. “I ain’t here to beat around the bush, V, so I’ll just get to it. Aspen told me what you’re gonna do.” At her words, he felt his face flush, and murmured, “Ah, yes.” The blonde tilted her head. “So, when are you gonna do it?”

“…Well…”

“Come on, V, I’m not her best friend any more. I’m not gonna run to her and tell her where you hid the ring.”

Um, hi, I'm GR, and I'm somewhat new... I'd been signed up for a while, but I only downloaded TEF in late Decembr last year. I really enjoyed it, but now I'm having severe problems.
Since around the middle of Feburary, I simply can not connect to the servers. I go to the page within the application, and it displays a constant cycle of "Not Connected", "Connecting", and "Error". Since this began to occur, I appear as a nameless deer, and as the sole deer in the forest. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything to see if that would fix it, and it didn't. Does anyone know a way that I can repair it? I really want to enjoy TEF with everyone else again. It's not as fun when you're the on;y deer around.

I'm sorry... I passed all my exams, but still can't play TEF. I thought I can both play and study, but I can't. My science work must be done during this month. This is final stage of my university-level education course.
+ Have problems on my job now. This is just madness.
