Some OOC blogging

So...playing on the beta...is pretty lonely. I've run into a total of 3 deer. I'm not sure how long I'll stick with it. I wish there was an option just to go back and forth between the test server and the regular one (that's how WoW did their beta testing, so you never missed out on the real game).

I think my deer is going full-grown in about 5 days. I've already started trying to plan his appearance ^^. So far I've narrowed down some of the skins/masks/antlers that I KNOW I don't want...but that still leaves a lot to play around with.

So...I'm still trying to figure out this rp thing. I'm doing okay with just the regular deer interactions as a fawn, but I know I'm missing some things. Things I might need to know once I become a young buck...like how to tell when people are angry..because everyone always seems nice and happy as far as I can tell. Or when/how/if deer are trying to fight or play-fight...I don't even know -how- to play fight. I have a feeling my deer is going to be very fawn like for a long time. ^^

I'm also interested in getting involved in the text rp that I know people are doing...I just don't know how/where they're doing it. Is it strictly on a person to person basis using messengers? What would be awesome is if someone had a chatroom that people could just have running in the background while they play...since I don't know anyone to get in a specific rp with. I'm also not much of a forum rp-er...I've never been very good at it. So, chat rp-ers give me a holler sometime, send me a message here, or you can try to get me on gchat or YIM (my screenname in both cases is hereticrick). Though, atm I'm stuck in the beta till I send an email asking to get off of it.

Misang and Jax are ready to have a child.
Post your fawn's photo, picto and if you have one, a bio.
The pregnancy will be taken like a real one, just withing a shorter time period.
Also, we need a reliable user. One that will remain active.
More stuff will be posted here...

A simple biography for my main character, Vatika. (This will be constantly updated for the next little while)
(Props go to Unplugged for her blog template that provided the base for my own coding. Unplugged, much like her code-wizardry, is absolutely super.)

Hart of Flame - Legend of the Fire Deer (Finished)

Legend tells of a pair of baoding balls, the only ones of their kind that were crafted both as a blessing and a curse. They were used to trap the spirit of a great and terrible creature known only as the Fire Deer. The balls captured the essence of the creature, as bits of his fur, bones, and antlers were placed within the iron spheres, and the outside of them were painted with his image - an angry stag with fire all around him. The image was a warning to never use the meditation balls, for chiming them just once would release the creature, and the world would suffer his fiery wrath.

The forest dwellers told their own tale - a noble guardian who could create or vanquish wildfires at will was there to keep their forest pure. With any sense of corruption, the Fire Deer would burn down the affected species, whether it was plant or animal life, but as they died, new life sprung forth from the ashes. The creatures believed that the Fire Deer made them immortal.

When the Fire Deer vanished from their forest, they became worried, not only for his safety but for their own. The trees began to change color, the leaves turning bright orange. The forest itself seemed to mourn the disappearance of the Fire Deer, as the plants all took a fiery hue. The deer saw this change, and knew that something had to be done. The Fire Deer must be found!

Two lives would soon intertwine as the legend of the Fire Deer would grow to fame.

"I'm heading to the Flea Market. Need anything while I'm out?", a young boy asked his mother. She reached into her purse and pulled out a few dollars, "Stop by the farmer's market on the way back and get three ears of corn.
