BLOG POST I feel like a pig.
I feel like a pig. |D I ate so much stuff today, and it wasn't even for a special occasion. Not really anyway. Some family friends are in the area for a few weeks, and my dad decided to invite them to a diner for brunch. Let's just say I wasted nothing. XD; (Pega - making bottomless pits proud.)
Then later we order pizza.
I think I've had enough food. 8D;
I feel dense though. I didn't realize the Super Bowl was tonight. Not that I care, but....I usually know about it. Guess it's cuz my sister isn't home, as she's the one who's into football aside from my dad... Good news I don't have to hear her yelling at the tv like last year.
Wonder if I should rotate through all or most of my deer for that Valentine's Dance... I planned to for the event last year, but plans got changed since this is the time of year Scape admitted his feelings for Zerg. *just got distracted by deviantART before finding that pic link |D* He ended up being the only one to attend. This time I'll try to switch every 30 minutes or so. Though, understandably, the few less sociable of my deer won't attend.

Hello I'm in the side computer lab that classes aren't held in. 8] Just waiting for my art history class to start...in 2 hours. |D Though I'll be meeting with my animation teacher for my storyboarding independent study so he can see what I've been doing for senior thesis. I was going to bring it up earlier, but it's like he read my mind since he mentioned it first. O.o
Oh gods, it's hot in here. *looks at a/c* ... *turns it on* ... *and turns it back off* It's not going on. D8 Maybe it's spiting me for ignoring the "Do not touch" sign. *slowly overheats more*
Oh yea, the point I wanted to cover!
So they predicted more snow starting tonight. Hopefully this time we'll actually get the snow. Unlike last time, when Canadian winds pushed it back. *shakes fist* Darn you Canadians.
Just kidding. =P
But still. Winds coming from Canada kept the snow away, just barely. It hit places south of here, even hitting where my dad works.

This snow they predict will have none of that holding it back. There will be wind, yes, but not the kind that'll push it away. And it should snow the whole day tomorrow. Even saw there will be a bit following it up on Thursday morning.
Maybe this means no class on Thursday. 8D
If that happens, my already long weekend will be extended.

And if not, I still have a 6-day weekend to look forward to thanks to Presidents' Day on Monday canceling all classes, and my school's "logic" being to make the following Tuesday have a Monday schedule.
Except I HAVE NO CLASSES ON MONDAYS.
And I DON'T HAVE CLASSES ON WEDNESDAYS.
Hence, 6 DAYS OFF IN A ROW.

BLOG POST Apparently it's
Apparently it's lightly snowing, but I can't see it. That's not saying much, though, cuz my window is pretty bad. There's a good deal of fog caught between the panes of glass.
But I need to pass out now. The slight headache I had for most of the day is telling me to go to bed. I almost dropped off in art history (more than usual) thanks to it. Guess I didn't sleep enough last night...
Should be snowing for the next 24 hours if they predicted right, so we'll see how it is when I wake up. I'll let you guys know just because I can. XD

Looked like 10 inches outside now.
And it's still snowing!
I feel bad for those that got snow already from the storm over the weekend, but in my town, we just cheated out of it, so to me it's like the weather is making up for it.
I hear this is two back-to-back storms, so it'll be going all day. Let's hope it's enough to get me out of class tomorrow, since my university is at a higher elevation (my ears often feel like they need to pop on this one road home).
And hopefully the kids in this court won't mess up ALL the snow in front... >> I wanna get at that later. Need to make at least one snow-deer. We even have a fallen branch out there that'd be perfect to break "antlers" from.

EDIT: (3 hours later)
The wire to my controller has finally had it, so when it bends downward, it's like I unplugged it, but then wire is sticking out straight or bent upward, it works. To "fix" this, I put more tape to keep it straight.
Talk about ghetto. |D Wish I could get a new one, but I actually don't have the $20 to spend on one. 8D; (The 20 I have is needed for other things.)
Looks like I'll be joining the keyboard users soon.
But I don't wanna. D8 I can't air-sit with a keyboard! *clings to dying controller*

I just "braced" the wire of my controller by taping a safety pin to it. XDDD;;;
In other news...my university had a delayed opening until 11am today, but I decided I won't go to any of my classes that come after that time either. (It's not like I missed the later classes yet.) Besides, I'm sure the teachers will understand.
Might open that planned art trade blog soon. Probably take 5 to avoid killing my arm/hand like I did on Christmas. (Speaking of which, my shoulder has been feeling like I either pulled or strained a muscle in it, or I slept on it funny. O_o But only if I move it a certain way.)

"Oh?" The blue stag looked up, away from where he'd been watching the koi fish in the pond, towards his adoptive son. Scape had a pretty good idea of what was going to be asked, but it was better to hear it rather than assume. "What about?" He tried to keep an even tone to his voice, interested but neutral.

Aha, so this is about what I thought, Scape couldn't help but think, barely holding back a smile as Oisín spoke. He nodded when prompted, continuing to listen patiently. This is sounding familiar.. The smile, or knowing smirk rather, was getting harder to hold back. But it might seem like he was making fun of the younger deer, so he did his best to beat it back.
"I wonder if there's something about this time of year..." Scape began, wistfully looking towards the koi. "I had the same thoughts as you did running through my head. The same worries, too." He glanced back for a second. "I bet everyone gets them." His eyes slid back towards the pond, not really seeing it as he thought back.
"The feelings I had grew to the point of where I couldn't hide them anymore. Then I just...dove in." Scape shrugged the best a deer can. "I wrote out this long confession speech, and just waited for a response. Even carved your mother's pictogram into a tree," he smiled at the air, looking embarrassed. "Longest hours of my life that wait for a response was... But in the end, it was well worth it." Scaped grinned.
He turned to Oisín again. "I can't tell you what to do since it's different for everyone. But you'll never know if you don't try. You just..gotta take a chance."
He shrugged apologetically. "Sorry if I'm not much help."

I actually forgot when I woke up that the Valentine's Ball was today. I remembered a few hours later, but by that time it was already an hour in. |D (My sister had taken over the computer for a little while, which didn't help the forgetting part. I remembered when I got to go on.)
Looks like I missed epic in the form of a OMGFREAKIN'HUGE dance line, and a (attempted) heart-shaped dance.

But I care more about the memory, as 512MB just isn't cutting it anymore. And when your father, who often asks you to troubleshoot random things on his laptop, is shocked your desktop only has 512MB? That's when you know that amount is sadder than you thought.

UPDATE TO EARLIER
Ok, so here's what happened...
I check their modem, and it seems to be working perfectly. All the lights are on as they're supposed to be, the router's lights are as they're supposed to be, and the wires were connected properly.
But I notice the laptop uses the internet through a wireless card, so I suggest connecting directly to determine if it's the internet, or the card itself. The ethernet wire is connected, but it makes no difference. The laptop still can't detect an internet connection. I can see it was trying to though. So I open the Network settings to have it run the troubleshooter.
No dice.
I keep trying to run the troubleshooter, but after a bit I give up, instead disconnecting and reconnecting the ethernet line, both from the laptop, and from the modem.
Negative.
At this point I unplug the ethernet line, plugging it back into the router, figuring that maybe (like my old laptop) it can't detect a connection directly for some reason.
I try telling the laptop to search for wireless networks.
It can't find any.
Stare.
Click click click.
Still not finding any, so I open the troubleshooter for the wireless connection.
It suggests switching the wireless off and then switching it back on. ...I start searching for a switch on the laptop. I fail to find one, but my attention draws back to the wireless symbol lit up on the laptop. I figured it was just a status thing that meant there was a wireless card inserted. Curiously, I tap it a few times.
But wait.
The light changed, and I swear the status for the internet blinked in that time.
...I tap the wireless symbol again.
It goes from orange to blue.
Oho! I have found the switch!
And it turns out that was the problem the whole time. The wireless had been accidentally switched off.
Something to forehead smack about now.

I'm gonna...open that art trade blog now I guess... But I'm not sure if I should make a trade blog per se. Sure, I'd be drawing for others, but I'm not sure if I should make it a "request someone else's character" or a "request your own, but you must do something for someone else in return".
...perhaps I'll do both.
Oh, and I got readdicted to Spore a few days ago, so that's been eating some of my hours. XD; I made a deer! 8D ...ish creature. It's now more of a taur, cuz the lack of arms was a problem.
...ever run out of stuff to do, but not wanna leave the Creature stage, so start collecting a bunch of rocks?
I collected at least 20 to see what would happen if I put them in this patch of dirt.
Nothing happened, but hey, making your creature have OCD is kinda fun. 8D;
Next goal: kill an epic. Apparently I was using the suggested method without realizing it until I looked it up...

Update on the snow-stag: I came home last night to see his entire neck had fallen off, right where it was threatening to while building it up.
So now he's just a body with no neck or head. XDDD
My mom said first the other ear fell off, then the antlers, and she later saw the neck had leaned back, only to be on the ground later.

BLOG POST/DEER UPDATE So I'm
So I'm thinking of moving onto the beluga antlers for Toukan. Deer antlers are supposed to grow at a pretty good rate, and there's not a big size difference between orca and beluga anyway. Plus, I wanna find a good transition between the beluga and default antlers. Going from one to the other seems too sudden...so this would mean wearing the orca for less time anyway (I'm only switching a week early. |D)
...Knowing how I explain things, I probably confused most of you who read this. 8D; So let me break it down.
Toukan is now wearing beluga antlers.
In the middle of next month, he'll switch to a bigger pair of antlers.
But I need to figure out a good "between" pair to go after beluga but before the default.
I'm thinking maybe the golden butterfly antlers (will find a pic if needed), since they're the right size.
Though the shape is kinda odd. |D
Any suggestions for something better?
