Listening to the rain - Chapter 5

Yzen's story - chapter five

It is raining. The sound of the drops is so relaxing. The scent of the wet deers is floating in the whole forest. Yzen walks quietly on the wet ground, soften by the wet fallen leaves.
He first goes pray the Gods, bowing his head to the floor. His muzzle softly touches the ground: humid and cold. Then, he walks to the pond. The rain makes music in the water, tip tip tip.
Frogs are jumping all around the pond and there are some deers who are laying under the trees. Yzen is now laying with them.
No one is making noise. They all listen to the sound of the rain on the pond. Only the frogs dare to disturb this quiet moment.
Yzen finally walks to the playground. The rain's sound is different here, on the rocks of the playground. He listens carefully to this music, to remember it well. He wants to be alone for a moment. The forest is opening its places to him. He walks slowly between the trees, letting the rain on his body.
It's not a good day to cast magic. It's a lazy day, to listen to the magic of the forest. Just listen.

A race between falling leaves - Chapter 4

Yzen's story - chapter four

Yzen is walking through the forest. So wonderful. Suddendly, he hears some hooves striking the ground, tagada, tagada, tagada. A black and white deer emerges from the forest, running in the sunshine. Tagada, tagada. His hooves make him flying, he runs fast, he runs well, and Yzen doesn't know where he is going so fast.
Yzen begins to run too. He runs, following the running deer. Woaw, this speed... They run together, through the forest, without any goal. Trees, leaves, trees again... They jump over the river, running around the pond. An other deer, a brown one, with a mask, comes and runs with them. They go through the forest, jumping over the playground. Hey lazy people! Come and run!
Even the fawn with he was playing, a few minutes ago, starts to run. They are now four to run without goals, but just to hear the sound of their hooves over the floor. Trees and landscapes slide fast all around them. This freedom... It's so great! They want to run and run and run again, to the sky!
Nothing to stop them, nothing to end the race against... the race against anything i suppose. Or maybe the race against lazyness, against being tied, against the time which makes us old. They areyoung, they are free and they run through the forest.

Learning to cast spells - Chapter 3

Yzen's story - chapter three

Yzen wakes up early. He didn't have slept for long, but he feels the power in him. Alright, let's have fun and magic.
First, he has to find out deers. Well... Hey! Where are you? His instinct says that almost 20 deers are hanging around. So... Let's find them. Oh great, here they are, right to the pond. Well, it will be easy. There are plenty of magic tricks around the pond. How about the mushrooms circles? Come on!
He drives them to a mushroom circle: one fawn, and four deers. Well, now, they... Ok, they have already understood what he wanted to do. They lay down in the circle. The two fawns are hopping and running around them. Not realy usefull, but if the magic can come with that.
Now, it's the tricky moment. They all fall asleep. Then they ake up with bright power, casting spells on the joyfull two fawns... which are changed into a raven and a bird. Woaw!
Yzen can't wait to do the same! So long to master magic spells! No matter. He runs to a flower field and takes some to give to the deers. He can do that. They all move back to the pond. Rubbing against the three, sharing anklers... He really learns magic spells! And he does it really fastly, only two days he has been in this magical forest. Maybe his parents will learn it quickly too.
Maybe they... won't come. He prefers not to think about that.
Well, he casts pelt spell now. Magic is hard to master and they all have to sleep regularly. No matter, he feels filled with energy and power. One day, he will be able to master it. And he will be a mighty deer as well as the other magic deers which walk around this forest. They all look so... proud, and royal. They own the forest as Gods. Woaw.
Yzen has to rest a lot: casting spells, then writing in his head everything he sees, and everything he does... It's a hard job and it makes him a little bit tired. Doesn't matter. He hears music will sleeping.

Playing in the forest - Chapter 2

Yzen's story - chapter two

Today, Yzen wakes up joyfully. He knows that there are a lot of deers to play with around him. Yesterday, he has visited every famous places of the forest, and he has prayed Gods.
While trotting around, he meets an other fawn. Hey what's up? He looks a little bit confused with Yzen's behavior. No matter, come on and play!
Yzen tries to practice his magic. Well, it is better than yesterday. He now can keep the magic a little bit longer. Hey, how about trying it on his new friend?
He casts anklers change on him... well, not so bad. But the anklers disappear really fastly. Oh. Maybe he isnot good enough at magic to cast long spells on others. He hopes that he didn't do anything wrong.
An adult deer comes... Well, he is sure that he was able to do that on others... No?
The adult deer just come and bows in front of him, then he casts pelt spell on him. Woaw! How a great pelt! Yzen hoppes and roar in joy. The three deers start to walk around together, rubbing trees, casting spells, praying Gods... They have a rest over the pond, where they all drink before jumping through the rock... and getting a red pelt. Amazing.
But all this magic makes Yzen tired. He is not used to cast yet. He slowly walks under the trees around the pond, and lays down. He fells asleep fastly. How a great day.

Entering the forest - Chapter 1

Yzen's story - chapter one

Mmmh... The ground of the forest is so soft. He doesn't want to wake up. But he never has never smelt those scents before. It is something like... magic.
He remembers that he ran a long time away from the hunters. He has no more things to remember. Now, it is time to explore this new place. Hmmm... First he has to open his eyes.

Woaw. This place is like... the most peacefull place he has never seen before. He is alone, but the forest seems to be full of deers. He can heard them all around him. That means... there is no threat. What a great thing.
"Mom? Dad?"
No one to answer. He has lost them while running for their lives. He hopes that they will find this place too.
So... stand up now. Right, he is not injuried.
"Is there anyone over here?" He shoots, then listens. Someone is roaring over there. But he has to eat before. Well, maybe, if he rubs his back against this tree... Sure, a fruit has fallen from the tree. Maybe he can eat it. Not so bad. He feels... better.
Woaw! What's that?
A big deer jumps over him, keeping running straight. But his pelt... Yzen has never saw that. He will follow him, for sure!

After a day spent in the new forest, Yzen has learnt a lot of new things. Deers showed him how to cast spells, and how to pray. They explained him that here, they can't talk, to maintain peace over this place. A magic forest. Now he really wants his parents to find this place.
