It couldn't be

[center]He stood quietly, gazing out over the pond, green eyes studying, surverying, tracking. With a satisfied snort he relaxed his head, large antlers glaring brilliant red in the light that filtered down through the leaves to where he sat between the two saplings.

His jet black ears flicked forward, keeping watch before one swivelled back, hearing the softest foot falls. He did not have to look to see who it was.

Kita turned her gaze down at the nameless fawn that had curled himself into her side. It seemed familiar, but then again all nameless appeared to be the same. She sighed softly and kept him close, eyes sliding closed as she slid into sleep. She would have to help the little one if she could, he seemed like he needed help.

She woke early in the morning having felt the bumping of the fawn as he tried to squirm out from under her head. She sighed gently and lifted her head from his back, giving a smile as he got to his feet and looked back toward her.

"Good morning" she pushed herself up, looking toward Seshi who still lay curled up. She thought of waking him before she decided against it, he seemed to be tired recently so it would be better to let him sleep.

Turning back toward the fawn she looked startled seeing he no longer stood before her.

Two weeks too late?

The time had flown since that fight. It was hard to believe that close to two weeks had already passed.

Kita stayed close to Seshi as much as she possibly could, monitored how his condition had been. Since that fight with the nameless worry had plagued her mind, constantly thinking back to how Furfur had told her of his death the first time. It had been due to the fact that Seshi had been diseased, he was killed the first time.

The blood of the nameless had been passed into Seshi, that would mean that the disease had been also. Kita trembled and tilted her head to look back toward her side at the smiling mask that lay on the ground tied again around her neck.

She looked up from where she lay among the flowers, toward her stag as he played with his fawn. She smiled weakly, studying his movements. A sigh escaped from her lips, head lowering a tiny bit as she watched.

His movements were slow, he had to take long breaks between games. She could tell that he was running low on energy, she prayed that it was just the season. Spring was a lazy time for stags, when they could regrow their antlers and such, maybe that was why.

She lifted her head slowly as he nuzzled Finata and turned to walk back to her. She smiled weakly "Hey, how are you feeling?" she asked softly as he turned around, laying himself down beside her body.

Kita trembled and turned slowly in a circle as she lifted her head high, ears strained as she was located Atvana, the one that she wanted to speak with. She knew that it would be able to help her, would be able to tell her if Furfur was returning. She turned and bound forward, racing over the terrain toward her destination. She skid to a stop, spotting the deer laying a few feet before her.

"Atvana." she stepped up beside her friend, watching as it turned it's gaze toward her. She shivered a little, it's stare was intense, drilling into the doe. She trembled as she shook her head, looking back at the deer before her "I need to know, Furfur, is he going to come back home soon..?" she asked softly.

The smallest of smiles curled across the deer's face, "Are you so sure he's left?" it asked her, voice even and calm keeping the eye contact with Kita.

She frowned confused and glanced away and down thinking, he might not have left. She glanced back the way she had come and turned a bit. Seshi had been Furfur before he had died. Is that what Atvana had meant? Seshi had come back so Furfur was inside him and had never left? She looked back to ask the deer what it had meant before frowning, it was gone.

A sigh escaped her lips before she turned, walking along back toward where she had left Seshi and his son.

Anxiety flowed freely through Kita as she pulled her gaze from the gray doe's who stood back away from the family, her stance was protective, even though Finata had been reunited with his father. She shifted her weight from one hoof to the other, turning her gaze quietly toward the bull and fawn who lay against one another.

She frowned and she sighed, moving quietly around so she stood before Seshi, ears flicking with worry. She didn't know how to break it to him, how to tell him. He would believe her, wouldn't he? It would seem crazy but he had believed that Finata was his son, so he would believe this also... wouldn't he?

She remembered the way he had looked when he asked her to dance. The quiet uncertainty that had reflected deep within his eyes that looked identical to her Furfur's eyes. She shivered slightly. They were almost identical, she couldn't help but see the similarities and she wondered how she had not seen it before. She tilted her head slightly as she looked at the father and son, they would have believe her. She would make them believe her.

She ran over the lines in her head again and again and tried to reherse them as she forced her courage to the sticking place. "Seshi, listen I really do have something to tell you," she said softly, sea-green orbs watched him. Her worry showed through them and her heart raced, pounded against her chest as though it threatened to break free.

[=Sylfaen][=13]Kita stare at the stag she followed behind, mind whirling with what he had just said. Seshi. He had called himself Seshi, but that couldn't be. Seshi had died, he had died and become her Furfur. She supposed he might have had the same name, but she had never met another who had the name of someone else. She frowned, troubled.

She looked ahead as they walked, making their way up to the twin gods statues. She slowed, "Can we stop here for one moment?" she wanted to pray to them for Furfur's safety. She didn't know where he had gone, but she could hope that he was safe and he would come back to her soon.

"Of course, look! I am as strong and mighty as the gods!" He posed beside the statue and gave her a smirk as he watched her.

Kita looked over toward him, rolling her eyes and sighing shaking her head "Oh ya, so big and manly" she turned to go, hoping that they walk was over so she could get back to trying to figure out how to get His mask from the pond.

"Hey, hey! Our walk wasn't done yet, I have stuff to show you still," he gave a grin and trotted before her, cutting off her path back to the lake. She had just wanted to go to find some to help her, someone who could go into the pond and retrieve His mask for her.

Kita sighed and shook her head slightly. She looked at him with her head partly lowered and blew out a breath as she gave in.

[=Sylfaen][=13] Her call rang out as she stood on the edge of the pond. Devistaton was tearing through Kita, gazing down into the dark depths to where His mask had vanished. She trembled scared, stepping back away as she looked along the edges of the pond.

He would appear, he would, just like he always did. He would come back, appearing along the edge of the pond like he always did. He couldn't leave her, not like this. She needed him, they might not have wanted to admit it, but she needed him in her life.

Another call came a moment later, a long howling whine that came from the playground. Confusion flickered in her eyes, it sounded so familiar, so like Furfur's and yet, so different. She turned, running along the edge of the pond, racing toward the playground.

Her legs stretched, muscles strained as she forced her body to it's limit, slowing only as she saw the figure. She skid to a halt, heart dropping into her stomach, it was not the one she desired, the one she searched for.

A tall monarch pelted stag stood before her. Long tines curled form his head, the face of a real deer looked out over the forest. She frowned slowly, nostrils flaring as she scented the air. She trembled, tilting her head slowly to the side confused, who was this stag?

She walked quietly toward him, head lowered slowly, eyes on him and her ears strained forward, all her senses. She jumped gently up onto the rock, looking over toward him, frowning slowly.

Fear and desperation - Mild Violence and Language - Present

Mild Violence and Slight Language warning.
Kita was very angry... it was hard to write her like this.

Edit: Fixed all those stupid spelling errors I see now >.<

[=Sylfaen][=16]The sun was shining brightly as I woke, a gentle breeze ruffled my fur. I took a deep breath, it was a beautiful day, it was going to be a wonderful day to run and play. At least until the shadows took over the forest it was a beautiful day...

The fawn soon approached me, teeth sharp, eyes green "Blood, pain" he muttered softly.

I frowned but understood "What...? Who?" I walked toward him, watching as he slipped away into shadows. He reappeared off to my left "Who is hurt?"

"Peacock, Franny peacock" he grinned mockingly, slipping off as another deer appeared where he stood, the sounds of the other deer of the forest filling my ears.

"Fran."

I trembled, "No..." I knew that she was hurt, she had been hurt by that stag but she had said she was ok. HE only appeared when there was something very bad happening, though I knew HE would take shape later and haunt the forest.

My blood ran cold. A darkness filled my eyes, the shadows taking over. No. I couldn't lose her! I called out frantically a few times before listening. No call replied to mine. At least not the one I longed to hear. I turned frantically in a circle, nostrils flaring as I tried to scent her in the wind. Ears pressed forward as far as they could trying to hear her. Nothing. I could feel and hear nothing.

Panic clutched my heart. No! I took off, I didn't care which way I ran. I called as I ran, not stopping to give anyone my attention. My mind was driven, legs adhering to it's wish. To keep driving, keep moving, keep running. Find Her.

Finally I caught onto her scent, blood. That was all I could smell.

Sometimes I'm Miserable - Present (Slight Violence)

Trying this for the fun of it, (having to rewrite because stupidly didn't save it and my computer crashed....)

(Slight Violence Warning)
-----------------------------------------------------------

[=Sylfaen][=15] Moss beneath my body. The sounds of birds in the forest filled my ears. The warmth of the sun on my back. I slowly forced my eyes to open and yawned, powerful haunches pushing me up to my hooves, shaking off the dirt and stretching. I didn't know that today would turn out as it did...

I listened to the forest, it was fairely quiet today in the forest, a small group was playing but either than that there were only a few lone deer who ran the trees. I was about to lay back down to rest and wait when I heard a call.

Howl. A smile slipped over my face and I returned the call back to my good friend. The raven soon appeared and I nuzzled him in greeting. Our time together began like it usually did, we bound around playing in the trees and then taking a drink at the pond.

We joined in a group party for a short time before I ran off and hid. A game of hide and go seek broke out between Howl and I for a long time, the hiding locations getting harder as the game progessed.

Everything took a turn for the worse when I ran to go hide, looking over my shoulder I laughed, nearly colliding with another deer in the process. I quickly skid to a stop, tilting my head and bowing to the stag who returned the greeting. I took in a couple of deep breaths, nares flaring as his scent filled my nose. I smiled widely

Reed. I had not seen him in quite some time so it was good to see him again. I thought of Howl, waiting for me to hide. My ears flicked back and I called out to him, trying to tell him that I couldn't play anymore. He joined us soon after and I tried again to explain to the raven that I couldn't play anymore.
