Grimmwall;; If You Keep Believing...

There are things in life you'll learn and
Oh, in time you'll see.

It was all familiar here. The streets, the houses, the city itself felt like home again. He always said he didn't much like it here, but now he realized how much he missed it. It wasn't the sites or the feel of the city. It was the people. One person, actually. It was the whole reason he came here, back to America. He came here to start over, and that's exactly what he did. He was away from the scandal of England and the hardships of Russia. It felt like he was starting over once more just by visiting. He felt fresh and free.

The car came up to the one house he had been waiting to visit for months. It was all the same, nothing had changed. He stepped out of his car, walked up to the door, and knocked.

Don't run, don't hide, it will be alright.

The door opened, there she was, staring up at him in pleasant shock. She embraced him, only able to wrap around his waist because of his height. He returned her hug, running a hand down her prismatic hair. It was a clear difference from his dusty gray hair. She led him inside, sitting him down on the couch and greeting him once more. They caught up, him telling her of what he had been doing in Russia. She didn't say much about herself. She only told him that she was lonely. It was pretty clear to him why.

Time passed. They made lemonade, spoke about cooking, just talking for the sake of talking. Once again he wrapped his arms around her, dropping his voice to a whisper.

“I missed you...”

She felt like she was melting in his arms. “I love you...”

He wasn't allowed to love though. He was held back from it. If he loved anyone, they would only be hurt. He had to deny it. He had to protect her. It would hurt, but not as much as it would to see her broken for good. He began to pull away.

She paused, “... Do you love me?”

He couldn't answer her. He looked away, hooding his eyes. “I want to...

Black Ear

HA and this is the first thing I post when the site comes back up. Well enjoy~

Black Ear

De Drinkplaats, a mystical new appearance in the Endless Forest. Deer from all around had flocked to this fountain in order to experience the new magic. It was a new place for deer to gather, for them to socialize. But deer weren't the only creatures to gather here. Animals of all kind came, doves, ravens, bats, frogs, squirrels, and rabbits.

The exquisite fountain lay atop a smooth, flat rock with a slight indent in the middle, where the water collected. The rock was surrounded by full, thick blueberry bushes, their fruits sweet and ripe in their endless season. Faint, sparkling lights arose from the mystical water, visibly showing that it had powers given by the Twin Gods. Around the area was a fairy ring, extremely large in circumference. Blue mist emitted from the large mushrooms, and it had the power to change the deer that entered the circle. The deer became basic, natural. Their magic spells and special pelts melted away, their masks disappearing, and their antlers becoming that of a true deer. This place was indeed filled with magic.

This place is my home. And this is not a story you will hear from the viewpoint of one of those deer. I am not one of them. I am not a spirit, nor a passer-by. I am but a simple rabbit, by the name of Black Ear. My name was given because of my obvious mark, my left ear which is darker than the rest of my body. All rabbits are named either for what their parents' first see or by any birthmark on their body. My mother's name was Willow Leaf, my father's Red Patch. My size is decent, though I may be large to some. And I have an ornament on my left ear, given to me by a strange goddess.

~Some Things You Never Forget~

Greenyellow eyes awoke to the pleasant shine of the morning sun. Slowly, but lovingly, they opened, looking around the foreign room. This wasn't his old apartment anymore. He was no longer in America. He was home. The home he grew up in, and the home he will live the rest of his life in. He belonged here.

Andy rolled over onto his back, staring up drowsily at the white ceiling, a bulb-shaped glass staring back at him. The lights weren't on, obviously. He looked at the shades on the window, only half closed to let some of the light in. Dust floated about contently in its warm rays. The room was silent. The only thing heard was the chirp of some native bird, probably not found anywhere else but here.

Then Andy turned his head the other way. And there he found what he would always find now. The person he would never give up. The person who he would now spend his life with. His husband, Jun, still sleeping peacefully on the other half of the bed. Andy felt a wave of warmth flow through his chest at the sight of him laying there. Just where he belonged. Right next to him. He carefully leaned over to kiss Jun on the cheek, which caused him to stir a bit, but not wake up.

The blond crawled out of bed and stretched, his bare chest shivering a little from the new morning cold outside his blanket. He wandered into the kitchen, which took him a few minutes to find in this new house, and started making some coffee. But as if on cue, as soon as he came close enough to the phone, it rung. Andy picked it up, examining the number, and pressed Talk.

"Hallo?... Ja, tale..." Andy spoke in his native Norwegian, as if he never knew English at all. The speaker on the other end told him something for several minutes. Andy's face grew more concerned as he went on. "Virkelig?..." Another pause. "... Ja... Takk... God bye..." He hung up, holding the phone to his heart and staring off into space.

"Who was it?"
