Hide and Seek~! Found's Game

From time to time, I will run about the forest on a deer named Found. Every time a new game begins, Found's set will change. His name is not actually Found, so trying to look up his picto won't work Eye

The only rule: If you submit a picture, PLEASE blur the pictogram or otherwise make it unreadable. It wouldn't be as much fun if everyone knew how to find him.

This game is especially fun because the first person to post a picture of Found will receive a colored picture of their deer! However, because of this I will have to ask that if you have won once, please do not submit another screenshot. Let other people have a chance Smiling

PLEASE do not post ANY pictures in THIS blog. A new blog will be made and deleted whenever a round begins. This one is simply to explain the game and showcase previous winners.

The Winners!
Round One - Rakisha1 requests Wicklowe

Happy hunting, darling dears!

Health: 95%
Mind: 86% - His head is clearer today, thanks to the mushrooms.
Mask: Skull

Antlers: Kabuki (Trumpets)
Appearance: Large and big-boned, Ruin more closely resembles a great elk than a deer, with a powerful neck topped by heavy skull, which has been stripped clean by the flesh-eating disease that he barely keeps at bay with his cannibalistic feeding habits. His trumpet-shaped horns are tall and proud, but beginning to turn green at the base. His eyes are red-lined and milky, marking the border where flesh retreats from white bone.

The headache was gone this morning. All of it. The muscle pains, the lightheadedness, everything.

And it was replaced by a new sensation.

I opened my eyes and lifted my head and marveled at the sudden heaviness I felt - had I stayed up too late the night before? Drowsy, I rose and stretched, then trotted to the pond.

Yawning, I bent to take a drink, and my face rather locked into position. I was used to seeing my reflection distorted in the fickle mirror of the pond, which apparently had a mind of it's own, but, but this...

I was too excited to think. Well, not so excited I forgot to close my mouth before a dragonfly settled in it. I tossed my head and tail up in alarm, probably startling several other deer (Sorry!) and immediately dashed into the forest, bellowing for my sister.

"Blender! Blender!"

I found her slender fawn shape tucked into the hollow tree, and I bent forward, nuzzling her. "Blender, Blender LOOK!"

She lifted her head, blinking blearily at me. "Who are-"

Her eyes widened as they settled on my picto. "...Eyerys? ...Eyerys, you have ...antlers."

This morning I woke feeling achy.

I have noticed many changes in myself in the past few weeks. I've been restless, aimless. I can't seem to focus on anything. This morning I was approached by a fawn and asked to play, but I couldn't keep up with him and ended up huddling at the base of a pine, munching pine cones.

My head hurts. It's a dull, throbbing pain, like angry stags bellowing between my ears. I feel farther from the ground, like I'm walking on stilts, and off-balance. I laid down in the cool shallows of the pond, and I felt a little better and went wandering.

Soon, though, my headache was back, and I lay down near another deer at the base of a nearby pine. I dozed off, trying to think of things beside my headache.

Mordred appeared, and we danced for a bit with some other deer, but I still felt ill, and didn't do much else.

After a while it began to worsen, and I returned to the pond. Mordred followed me, and kept me company until the cool waters worked their magic and I began to feel better.

I certainly hope tomorrow I am better off. I'm beginning to feel cold and clammy from sitting in the water so much, but it's the only thing that helps.

.:Eyerys:A New Thing:.

Today when I woke, the first thing I realized was that something very cold had lighted on my nose. Blowing it away, I started to go back to sleep but yet another Very Cold Something quickly took it's place.

In a start I realized I was covered in a light sheet of Very Cold Somethings, and I leaped to my feet in surprise. A flurry of white surrounded me, and as I bent to see what had fallen from my pelt, I realized that it was raining.

Well... Not raining exactly.

The Very Cold Somethings were coming down from the sky. Mouth open in wonder, I caught one on my tongue and it fizzled a moment before becoming a mere drop of rainwater.

Delighted, I danced about, trying to catch as many of them on my tongue as I could before they touched the ground and faded into dew.

Such a thing must be a gift from the gods! I had never seen anything like it. Not even airdancing compared. After a while though, I grew bored of chasing the tireless Somethings and sat by the bridge, just watching them come down, white as the fur of a disciple of the gods.

.:A Question Concering Antlers:.

I am very new to this community, and as such I am probably opening my big mouth when it should be zippered shut, but I had a sincere question that I wanted to ask some of the older players.

I have heard the creators of the site themselves say that -violence- in the game is unacceptable.

I understand this.

Several older members have mentioned that it is for the benefit of new players who might not understand certain actions that fighting is frowned upon.

This I understand also.

However.

Imagine a new player, who had never played TEF, who hasn't even registered yet and is just trying the game, but understood some basics of deer society and purpose in real life, came into the game and began picking fights with what they viewed as a big stag with a HUMAN face and nasty antlers. What might he do initially? Well, I imagine he might want to try out those nice long antlers.

How would you correct this new player who is working on his basic, natural understanding of sharp pointy things?

On the one hand, the deer have antlers. This is a common appendage that many deer have in real life. When the average Joe looks at a deer's antlers, he notices they are somewhat pointy and therefore capable of violent poking if nothing else. Male deer often duel with their antlers, if not to the death, over females, territory, etc.

On the other hand, the deer have human faces. This humanizes them and makes it obvious that they are not normal deer. But are they the 'goodness within' human or the 'evil within' human? The unknowing new player cannot tell the difference.

Correct me if I am wrong, but seem to recall somewhere that the creators of the game do intend to make the game more goal-oriented in the future, with possible fighting. This, perhaps, is where the antlers will come in with more force.

Now to my point (Please don't have fallen asleep D':)

.:Eyerys.:.Attack in the Forest:.

[center][sub]

Today began nicely. There were many deer (playmates!) at the pond today, splashing and frolicking in the shallows and placing antlers on one another's heads.

It was altogether pleasant and sunny, and when I spotted Mordred I was sure the day was going to get even better. We danced and laughed and explored the wood, but... It didn't take long before the lovely day turned sour.

While playing, we were approached by this fawn, who was being tailed by another undead deer. I had only met two undead deer in the forest... Mordred and Burrow... and I didn't recognize this one. When he reached the fawn, he reared up on his hind legs and... well...

It happened so quickly...

He ran off into the woods, and Mordred gave chase. I paused for a moment to make sure the fawn wasn't injured too badly - he didn't seem it - then charged after Mordred.

By the time we found him again, the zombie had already found another, a golden deer with a magpie mask and sweeping, spiked antlers. Mordred charged in to assist, and I began calling for help - which apparently attracted the zombie!

I could feel my heart thundering against my frail chest and my hooves flew like never before. I tried taking to the air to escape but I was too distracted by the thunder of mad hooves behind me. It took all I had just to keep away from those blood-red antlers and that bony, gaping maw.

As I twisted and turned among the birches, I glimpsed Mordred and the golden deer giving chase as well, hard on the attacker's heels. I wheeled and made for Mordred, squealing, but turned too quickly and with a sickening lurch in my stomach I realized I was falling.
