[SOLVED] Cannot Connect Receive Error on Connection Status In-Game.

I feel like I've tried everything at this point. I've tried running the game as administrator (my user on this PC has admin permissions anyway but I tried running the application as admin via right click) I added ForestViewer.exe to applications allowed through Windows Firewall. I reinstalled the game 3 times, I rebooted my computer over 5 times, I tried rebooting my internet wifi modem/router. I even tried the older version of the game from 2009. The only thing I noticed with that one is instead of telling me 0 players were online and error on connection the old version said 37 players online and connection None. Then when I tried to connect it said Error. So nothing seems to be working. I just completed removed the game and gave up. I don't know why Im having so much issues with this game. The computer I'm using is a Windows 10 laptop. I have no problems connecting on other online games.
I have a desktop that is a Windows 7. I'm going to try the game on that computer and see how things go.

If I encounter the same problem on my desktop PC as well I will be sure to leave an edit about it here.

I still really want to play this game on my laptop though, so if anyone has any ideas on how I can get rid of that error to connect in the game I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks ^_^

Edit: After a few hours I finally found the solution for my Windows 10 laptop.

Game problems

Okay so after my dad had updated the hardware of our PC, The endless forest had stopped working, it won't even work if I uninstall and reinstall it. All it does is flash black and white, like it was trying to load the game but couldn't. If you guys got any clues on how to fix it, can you please tell me?

but somehow just a few days spent here, reconnecting with friends, making new acquaintances,
seeing everybody's art and designs and actually logging into the forest has brought it back, my inspiration to improve in my art.
I don't usually feel the urge to make a whole new post to say thank you but this is one I feel is important enough to do so.
I'm no good with words, but I hope I can show you what I mean with a piece I just finished.

(or maybe if you're lucky, a watercolour)
Since traditional art doesen't look really good on bios Sad or you need a helluva lot of working around or editing it to make it look good, so I' hoping if anyone would like to help out (and get something lovley in turn back)(I can also take multiple trades for one character cause I just like other people's art in general <3 ))

I know a large portion of TEFc is LGBT, so I figure this might be a nice thing for the community. Feel free to come here for resources, advice, character plans, or to just vent--an understanding group of people with experience themselves is sometimes exactly what you need, especially if you're questioning.

       1) If you're proven yourself bigoted to LGBT individuals in the past, you're not welcome and I will kick you. I can only think of one or two people that would warrant this, but feel        free to ask if you're unsure.

       2) Please keep away from drama. This is supposed to be a welcoming, positive space.

       3) Anyone is welcome to join, just be mindful that this server is intended for LGBT players.

I'M SURE I'LL THINK OF MORE TO SAY IN A BIT. And as people offer more opinions! I'll also clean this up and add a glossary..
But as ofnow!

OMG ALSO TO POINT OUT, 'Antagonist' and 'Protagonist' are used loosely when up against each other. It's more just... 'your attacking character versus their (possibly) innocent target'

[ We'll start with saying, I'm not, by any means some 'GREAT PLAYER' of antagonists. Or protagonists. Or anything tbh. But I've had a few years of experiences that could be worth sharing!
None of the things mentioned are to put anyone on blast. If you've played a character who does anything in the below lists, I'm not calling you out. And I don't mean to offend, I hope I don't! Tell me if I do. uvu My writing can come off as sardonic to abrasive sometimes. It's A WHOOPSIE.
Nothing I say should be taken as law. Anything I write is a mix of my experience, what I've seen and the experiences of people I've spoken to, or observed! Feel free to criticize or offer a different perspective. I have my thoughts but my mind is oPEN.
Honestly this whole thing would benefit A LOT through the opinions of others. I've never been good with lists. Or explaining myself sigh
