Deer players,


We hope you're getting excited for Halloween in the Forest! Because this year will be special!

Next week we intend to launch a crowdsourcing campaign for The Endless Forest on IndieGogo. The purpose of the campaign is to collect the necessary funding for a complete (and faithful) remake of the game in a new contemporary engine. As you may know, the current technology behind the game doesn't allow for much expansion and even severely limits the amount of players that can be active at any time. This has also been the reason why we can't do much Abiogenesis anymore.

But if the crowdsourcing campaign is successful, all of that is coming back. And more!

To convince people to co-fund the project, we want to enlist your help!

First of all, if you have a moment and you feel like it, please make a short video of yourself saying something about The Endless Forest (5-20 seconds). It can be very general, very specific or very personal. Just something you want to share about your feelings and experiences with the game. We will select as many as we can fit to be featured on the campaign page. You can use whatever technology you have: a phone or webcam recording is just fine. Try to shoot in 720p resolution horizontal, if possible.

Would someone just be able to add me on Skype for a second ? I just need some help with ccs work I am very unexperienced with this side of tef, hence why I haven't got many ccs on the go and many of them fail with the comment boxes due to not knowing what to do xD I dunno if I am thick or what? but it would be nice if someone wouldn't mind helping for a second. I started playing yesterday, and I'm confused about growing up. I do know you have to wait a month before your fawn becomes a fully grown deer, but do you have to log on every day until then?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi.

This may be a bit blunt but what do people really want from new players in this community? I am not talking about wanting stuff like "art etc." but more like role-play side of the community? What do you guys do to attract role play to your own characters ? Some people have said be your self which I can say most new players do try including my self, Been around this community for 2 years now which to me that is quiet a while with out going with out role-play or even making friends from this site. I have managed to meet Vessan and kamaya, kamaya has helped me out a lot with ccs which I thank her alot. Vessan did peace of art work for me and offered abit of role-play for me which I happly took up from her. I even talked to her on Skype for the first time which was a lovely experience for me and I hope for her as well.


So again back to the question "what do you guys expect from new players on the role-play side of things?" I have offered role-play for my character and tried to get to know people that way, but it seems my characters are not up to anyones standards ? Or maybe you guys just like role playing with well know people? ( which screams elitist in away.) I don't want to be seen as an attention grabber on this community but I have been on and off of this community for 2 years now..I seem to keep coming back with hope that I could role-play with people or even just meet people to be friends with them and have a a conversation. I just feel like I am denied all of this and pretty much feel ignored in this community most of the time. ( but a thank to all of the people that have interacted with or tried.) If comments towards this post feel like they are directed at me or just feel spiteful in any shape or form don't be surprised when I will ask you to remove them.
