First blog post, whoot! Don't know if anyone will read this but, eh... I might as well. :3

I've had an account on Endless Forest for years, but I just recently decided to join the community. We'll see if I stay long, or if I'll return to random-deer-in-the-forest status.

Also, you may notice that I'm not going to name my deer. I am simply calling him "my deer" and will often refer to him as me, myself, or I. I don't really like the prospect of naming your deer; their names are supposed to simply be the pictograms between their antlers. At least that's what I think was meant by the game designers.

Well... last year I WAS considering names for my deer, and I thought of Benedict, Beethoven, and Solstice. So if you simply must call my deer by a specific name, choose one of those. Take your pick.

Anyway, I guess I'll post a few pictures. Here's me back when I was a fawn:


And here is me with my set that I was so proud of (especially those antlers that Enkouwolf helped me get) that I somehow lost when I logged out. :C

(To anyone that can help me get those antlers back I would be eternally grateful, and may even draw you a picture ;D)

And, uh, random Endless Forest facts about me:
1. My favorite things to do in the forest are play around in fairy rings, jump over rocks and the stream, and just plain run. <3
2. My computer has a problem with clicking sometimes so it takes me a while to do different actions, but I am trying to bow to you, trust me. ]:
3. I love it when people give me new pelts n' such, and I love to give them away. I almost always have a gift ready. :]
4. I like taking pictures.
5. I am sometimes antisocial, so if there's a big group of deer playing around I tend to watch and enjoy from a distance. :C I'm trying to break that habit, though.

Fairest of Tidings, Forest! I'm a little infamous for disappearing then reappearing months later but if anyone happens to remember me ... Rum and Stars is back. It's been a rough road being able to get my life settled so I could rejoin the serenity of this endless forest -- it includes being stranded in a living environment with no internet (did you know communities that can't get cable still exist?) to buying a brand new house and going through hectic nonsense to get cable internet installed and secure. However, I have risen triumphant of these mundane challenges!

I hope to get involved again with the forest and have Rum gain new friendships with the numerous cloven hoof brethren that have turned up since his last presence in the wood. In the likely case most of you don't remember me ... I was part of the forest two - is it possible even three? - years ago, then had some unhappy months of hiatus.

From this point on I'll use this blog as a place to write a bit about me and more about Rum (or perhaps any other dear, if I happen to pick them up along the way). Once I get used to this new system of the community message board, I'll be making another entry -- these biography ideas I see in recent diary updates are too creative to pass up!

Okay, so I made an account, I THOUGHT I had chosen a deer name, but it doesn't work. And when playing the game and I go to Options, and I TRY logging in, no matter how many times, it will not allow me to log on. Help, please?

(Also, what does it mean when you get a nuzzle? IT says I currently have five nuzzles..... >.>
ALSO, why do a whole lot of deer sleep in the game?)

My mom SURPRISED me by getting a puppy today ><
Is from a friend of our's dog's litter...and mom saw it a couple weeks back and fell in love with it. I tried to convince her we didnt need another dog (we already have two), and then she dragged me over to look at her too...and what can I say, I'm weak minded >___< I loved her too, but I still tried to remain sensible.
I fail.
But then mom started talking sense and acted like she wasn't going to go through with it after all...which bummed me out but I knew it was for the best...
And then...
She drove me over there today and was like "Get out and get your puppy"

So yes, that's what I've been doing all day, and I'm totally braindead now XD I just took two tylonol for a massive headache <<

Sooooooo, I was looking through the journals a few moments ago, saw something about phase 1, forgot where, spent a couple more minutes searching the forum for help, until I eventually went "aw, screw it" and posted this. So, here we are: I have a question about having both phase 1 and 3 installed >> I've downloaded phase 1, but when I try to play it, the only thing that opens is the beginning screen, and then it stops. I think I remember on the forums someone talking about doing something special or what not. Anyone got a link or a little advice? :/

For some reason, if you'd like to see Uio open his eyes for the first time, I'll have him asleep somewhere until you come. Let me know if you'd like to see Uio before he awakens. Also, since he's a "no-mother" fawn, he may be skittish and hide from others. His personality isn't decided yet, but as a newborn it's okay because he can't do much but hide and explore. So, does anyone care to see the little thing awake? You don't have to, I just thought you might find it neat to watch Uio from the moment of his "birth" to when he grows up. Anyway, he'll awake in 5 minutes or so. (I have to switch deer when I log in, so he may already be awake when you get there. I'm going to let him fall asleep, and re-awake.) -flees to TEF-

I'm really just trying to put off exam studying right now, but I'm pretty curious as well. xD

So, what kinds of things do you collect as a hobby? I like the idea of dedicating so much time, usually years, to result in a wide array of one specific item or theme. Over the years, I've found a few things worth collecting, and I'm sure some of you have as well. So I wanna hear about it!

As for me, I've collected/am collecting:

Beanie Babies - about 163 I think. I've stopped pursuing them now, because the new ones are so different.
Zebra paraphernalia - In all, about 25 zebraish items. I lubs me some zeeebras. C:
Flattened souvenir pennies - 52
Precious rocks/minerals/fossils/shells - About 60 of these kinds of things. Amethysts, agate, jade, hematite, assorted shells, corals, insects and scorpions in resin, shark teeth and jaws, and fossils.
Foreign/rare currency - I have an Egyptian note, a $2 bill, a super old 5¢ military payment certificate note and miscellaneous coins from various countries.
Candy bar wrappers - 86
Chopstick wrappers - about 13-15
Postcards - 22. This is a new one, I've suddenly become obsessed with postcards. xD
Ticket stubs - 38. Mostly from movies I've seen (and liked) since 2004, but also events/concerts/broadway/etc.
