The Diary of Seed, 9-22-10

[=#006400]
Today I saw that Saosin was gathered with a group, and felt I ought to go greet him for the first time in a while -- he led us slowly to the river, where I drank and frolicked with Crybaby. I've heard a lot about him, and he seems to be a very nice stag, and in this sometimes over-serious time, kept himself a good humor. We ended up sitting together in the flowers to watch Saosin and Gustiro spar. Relative to the beautiful, artful spars I've seen from Saosin in the past, this was... a long and brutal fight, without restraint. I'm never sure what to make of The Rut. I still have no clue. What does it feel like? A longing of the body, a burning in the heart? Does it feel like the love that flutters? Is the sparring of stags jealousy, or is it like its own strange form of attraction? Knowing is what makes life; and here I am, watching something...of which I only have outside knowledge. It was an interesting show, though. Saosin and Virgil have different ways of fighting.
...I wish deer were more like butterflies. It would be, I think, a different world... If courtship came in fluttering dance.
In the end, he defended his gathering, and we all rested in place.
Eventually, though, I spotted my old friend Sluggs and a few deer, making merry by the pond. I hopped over to play with him for a while, trying to find a balance in all of these relationships. We ended up forming a lovely danceline/party in the air, where my aim at least for once was fine enough that we could all dance together. It wasn't the most perfect of all dancelines: we sort of bundled on top of one another in a heap. I miss being in a heap: I played like this with Scape and a friend of his the other night: beyond the simple, deep joy of seeing Scape, was all the simple fun, like I had as a fawn. Sluggs showed us his upsidedown giant-raven skills...

Antics 9-20-10 [image heavy + 1 closeup]

Monday was pretty crazy. Laughing out loud I tossed in the only screenshot I took yesterday, too. It's the closeup mentioned in the title.

Anirapio - a short history...

Just some info I wanted to write down about my dragon, Anirapio, before her summoning to the Endless Forest by Iugulare. Enjoy!

In a nearby solar system lies a terran planet called Ibuzon. Much like Earth, Ibuzon began with the spark of life, and soon countless species thrived on the planet, each adapting to new changes and challenges with their environment.

One species grew superior to the others - the Daog. These creatures were dragons - scaly green and white skin, great wings used for both flight and hunting, mantis-like forelimbs used to grip their prey. Their bodies changed and grew accordingly, sometimes they lacked limbs, other times they had legs and feet but no forelimbs, and sometimes the other way around. But unlike any other species, they never developed mouths on their faces, but instead had a slit on their chest and a tube that ran the length of their belly to the tip of their tail. These creatures devoured their food whole, absorbing liquids and nutrients from it as it traveled down their stomach. They eventually would expel the unused remainder through the tip of their tail. The Daog were superior in intelligence than most of the other species, and were able to communicate to one another through telepathy as they had no mouth to speak with.

The Daog began their species as scavengers, feeding on plants, berries, fruit...occasionally insects. But they found that they were becoming malnourished from these meals, they could not sustain their high metabolism and many of them died from it. So the Daog tried a different approach - they hunted small creatures, stuffing them into their chest slots and absorbing their blood and energy.

Help from artists?

I´m sorry for bother you guys, but there´s a a thing I can´t make up my mind of. <_<

So, I got a request from DA from someone who says he´s a member of a band that would like to use my art on their cd-cover. I have never really done stuff like this, so can´t decide if I should give a permission or not, but since they´re not asking a custom-painting but just use of a existing one I might consider it. They did not mention of offering money of it and even if they did, I don´t have a paypal and don´t know about how to arrange things like that from outside of my country.
Ugh, I´m so useless in organizing stuff like this...

Is there someone who has done things like this before? I´d really appreciate some opinions on this, and I kind of trust you guys since I know there are brilliant artist and many intelligent people in this community. I have heard of some kind of scams where some people "cheat" art for them to use, but not sure at all how threatening such a thing is. =/
Any opinions are appreciated.

Will be deleting this later....
