Are there any particular bands/musicians that you associate with your deer?

My deer:
Seasons - Múm, CocoRosie, classical music
Halafax - Nouvelle Vague, Beirut
Birchtree - Similar to Halafax's choices since he is her imaginary friend

I have only played this game for 2 days, and I do not get it at all! How do I customize my deer, or do I have to wait a month to grow older? Do I get to save the items I get? How do I even get items xD? I was wandering around and then a deer started glowing gold, and then I got these huge antlers and a white pelt! But they disappeared shortly after ;A;.

Also, I am hoping there is some sort of item list? As in, there is an entire list of all possible items in the game, so I can create a goal on getting what I want my deer to look like <3. Please link me to it! All help is appreciated! Thank-you very much!
