a small amount of info on sœur.

thanks everyone for the warm welcome!
i'm sorry i couldn't comment on my post in reply, i think my display name has to be the same as my account name for me to comment, but for now i'm unable to change my display name. oops. Sad

anyway, this is sœur.

(terribly sorry if her design is similar to anyone else's... so far i haven't seen anyone with this one!)

i don't have time to give her a complicated past or personality, so she's just going to be my little alter-ego.
i plan on drawing her often!
she enjoys sleeping, so you'll probably find her napping often.
and... that's pretty much it, she's not very special.
i'll give her a good biography one day. maybe even a story.

also, the other night she met a very kind fawn! i'd love to find out who this is.

Origin

Flash back to a day ago. A fawn looks up at two black and white deer, pelts shadow and light mixed together. He mouths the words, "I'm sorry." The deer back away, one lowering his antlers.
Flash forward to the next day. The fawn is looking up at another. This time, he mutters, "I hate you." The deer comes forward, taunting.
Flash back again. The fawn comes forward. "I forgive you." He gets antlers in his face.
Forward. He glares at the stag. "I will never forgive you." Something whispers in his ear; he nods. Good.
Back. He's cowering between the logs, the same ones as that night. He frequents this area, drawn by a feverish mind. It's snowing, like it was then, when the red turned the snow crimson. Now he does not bleed. The deer circling him intend to change that. They followed him from the ruins; they've come to finish the job. Just like it was back then. This time, he's immortal.
Forward. He's sitting beside her, mist covering her. He remembers what happened next, somewhere in another time. He sighs and lays his head on her back. "If you can look into the sseedss of time, and ssay which grain will grow, and which will not, sspeak.
Nothing in hiss life became him like the leaving it; he died ass one that had been sstudied in hiss death, to throw away the dearesst thing he ow'd, ass 'twere a carelesss trifle.
" He closes his eyes.
Flash back again. He is cowering against another deer, a group. They are protecting him, saving him from the deer that would take his life again. He closes his eyes.
Forward. Madness glows in the red eyes, emanates from his very state. He's laughing at something, some cosmic joke that no other can get. He hisses out, "It'sss a joke. It'sss all a joke...", before laughing again.

The Diary of Seed, 11-27-09 (romantic dramaz warning)

((If I throw Seed on more, it won't get added. This entry is about full.))
[=#006400]
I awoke and wandered a bit, until I spotted Virgil, and rushed out to meet him. After a bit of frolic, he, for no discernable reason, went first to a pine tree to gather up spells (I was very naked, save for my traditional flowers). I elected to cast antlers on him in return, and when I did, I saw they were the same ones he cast on me. Instantly, the idea of being twins leapt to mind. While we were working on the pelt portion, I heard a sound I recognized. Nevilly, who I haven't seen in what feels like an age.

I'm sorry, Virgil, for running off the way I did. Really: I felt guilty even then, as I dashed off to meet her. But I really wanted to see her -- too often I'll meet someone who I grow to like quickly, and then they vanish, never or rarely to be seen again. I am not letting this happen again if I can help it: and even if I cannot, I think I must strive to make that time for the people I don't see as often, no matter who I may be leaving behind to do so. Is that the right thing to do? I need to ponder this.

Anyway, so I dashed to meet her and we said our hellos. She seemed a little amused at my strange combination of spells, and we worked fairly quickly to rectify this. When we were getting my pelt from a sleeping deer (whose picto I know very well, but whose name, alas, escapes), the deer awoke, giving us both a little start. I always feel emberassed, and uncertain as to what I should do. I bowed a little awkwardly, and he cast a spell on Nevilly before settling back into the mushroom circle. The newly-mini'd Nevilly and I went to find someone else to get pelt spells from. We finished up around the bridge, and began to bound our way alongside the lavender river, turned strange by the reflection of the snowy sky.

hello!

hi everyone, i'm natalie.
i'm not new or anything. been playing this game for a year or so now, and i adore it to pieces!

i have lots of plans for my deer, sœur (french for 'sister,' pronounced sur, with the R rolled.)
she plays in the forest often! hopefully we'll meet some new or old friends here.
i will eventually draw her a reference, yes, when i find time.

i hope to meet you all soon! there are some amazing artists here, and this is such a nice community... i can't wait to be a part of it.

Lonely Life of a Deer

The endless forest has been so lonely lately. I feel like there's no one who wants to hang around with a little fawn! everybody just runs away. Sad I'm so lonely

Snow...

Rain woke up cause something soft and cold toched her nose... She sneezed and opened her eyes. Yeah, it was snowing!) Rain smiled. She got a bit cold, so she ran about to warm up. Other deer seemed to be excided about snow too. Especially little fawns! You could hear their happy meeemeeing all over the forest. "Winter is closing up" - Rain thought. She still was a bit cold so she went towards the Old Oak. There were some deer there and she politely asked their permission to join them... They lay quietly for some time, watching the snow slowly dancing its way to the ground...
