Diary Entry

Photos 3rd December 2009

I had such a nice time this evening! I played mostly with Tsuda, and another deer - who I recognise from Tsudas own photo diary.

It was really, really nice. I felt like we were a little family, while we were playing, and I want to thank you both for the fun we had! (Read more, to see more photos)

Story behind the forest?

I'm just wondering... Is there any sort of story behind the Forest? It's so mysterious...

The bridge would have been made by human hands, so either the people have left, or have become the deer... (hence the human faces).

But what's really been on my mind is - if the people were indeed turned into deer, why? Was it some kind of punishment against the behaviour of the people?

By removing the power to communicate through words, there's not really any way to corrupt, or hurt, apart from physical violence (though, thankfully, Tale of Tales did not include violence in the Forest).

Hmmm.. My own ramblings probably aren't of much interest to any of you, but if anyone has any other theories/ideas/stories about the Forest... I'd be fascinated to hear some! My curiosity needs to be quenched, to a certain degree.

Thank you for reading, if you have =]
I'll see you in the forest!

The Journal of Krym, 12-02-09

I spent the morning with someone I dunno, since I couldn't find my parents. He was pretty fun; he wanted to cast a lot of spells! But I didn't get him; he'd want me to cast a spell, and then he'd be happy with it, and then after a while he'd sneeze it off! I didn't know what it took to make him happy! But it was nice casting all those antlers and masks -- I really like to eat pinecones and mushrooms. Mushrooms kinda go ting-tang in your mouth, and the pine cones taste a little like smoke. But they also taste like magic, which is really awesome! Anyway, I had to go after casting spells on the guy for a while. Good luck getting what you want!

Then I came back and found my friend Vala again! Vala was playing with a friend -- I think his name's Mozart. We started casting more spells for a while, until Vala had to go. I think I've decided: I don't want to wear a mask! I just want to have a really pretty face! When Vala had to go, I chased my pal back to the willow trees where Vala went to sleep. I was just gonna go take a break after that, but I ran into another fawn. I thought we could be friends, but all he wanted was to cast antler spells. After a while, I got bored! I just started eating the pinecones, and only casting spells when he cast them on me. When he was done, he just sat down! I decided I was bored enough, so I went off and took a little break by my favorite spot.

So I went and joined some other fawns in the Big Oak; I tried to get them to dance, but one of them dashed off and MwwAAAaaa'd out, so I went and saw what he/she wanted.

A day in the forest...

I haven't shown any pictures, wrote a blog, or anything. I'm actually quite shy, until you really get to know me. But I make an effort... I'm going to show a few pictures that I've collected in the passed few days. I have many pictures, but I'm only going to show the recent ones that meant something to me... A lot of deer are not in these pictures that meant something to me, and I apologize for that. (There are quite a few pictures... all the same size as these two below)

The long walk home: I really enjoyed walking a slow as you can with this deer. It really gave me a moment to take in everything. Tsudo felt like he had a parent figure, truly showing him how wonderful the forest can be. Thank you for that! I thought the second picture was nice... after the long walk the adult deer seemed to want to take a nap. Tsudo kept spelling the deer's mask and laughing. Ah, simple minds are such fun...

Photos 2nd Dec 2009

Hey everyone. Decided I'm going to upload photographs (or, for you pedantic people, screenshots!) to my blog, starting today - 2nd of December, 2009.

Played with this very handsome deer, for a short while, today. Who is this? Hehe, the deer seemed to not want to dance with Efter, at first... But found me again later on, and danced (along with a white deer, who I forgot to take a photo of...)

AR: The Plague (Pokemon)

A lot of you might have seen some of the posts I've made of these crazy, ugly creatures that I call 'pokemon' Well here's a blog that I'm posting that collects all of these beasties for your viewing pleasure. Now, I'm not going to do ALL of the creatures in the world but hey, I'll do what I can at the moment. We've got a lot of creatures in the Pokemon world that need to be zombie-fied.

I'll post more information on AR: The Plague if anyone shows interest in it but for now... enjoy :3

Suggestions are welcome but I've got a story to finish for this project and also I've got the Secret Santa to do :3

First Post - I'm enchanted.

I downloaded The Endless Forest, after researching experimental games, and reading about one of Tale of Tales' projects in a magazine.

I expected TEF to be interesting, what with it's focus on communication through animal gestures, and free gameplay... But I never expected to be this enchanted, and entranced by the Forest, and the wonderful deer inside.

I've played other multiplayer online games, and to be honest - they irritate me terribly. Players are often ignorant, and are only in it for themselves. However, with the Forest it's a completely different story. There's a real sense of family between deers. Even deer I have never met nod their head in respect, when greeting myself and others, and entertain the fawns by casting spells generously.

It's something I've never seen in a game before - this sense of community, and support of eachother, and I am really impressed.

I don't know how often I'll update this blog, but for now I'm going to end it by saying this.

Thank you Tale of Tales, for creating such a superb game, and thank you for the players for making my first experience of the Forest what it has been. While the Forest would be impressive, no matter who is playing in it - I feel that the welcoming I've observed in game, and in this community is what makes it that bit more special.
