Picto problem?

sylphofheart's picture
Is there any way to fix or at least somehow find those pictos that decide not to show up on the map? Or the ones that lead to blank pages and whos names cannot be searched

not actually sure what causes

not actually sure what causes it, though my theory is that they need to have a community page that's only made when they log in for the first time?? i'm probably super wrong, though S:

Edit-- ^^^ that theory sounds

Edit-- ^^^ that theory sounds correct to me.

I don't think so, sorry dude. Hopefully someone else can give you a better answer.
You could always just take a screenshot of their deer and picto and then post it here like "Map not workin', who dis"... worked for me on my old account.

Hmm, are you by chance

Hmm, are you by chance running the forest in full-screen mode? If you are then switch to play in window and you should be able to take a screenshot.
My laptop also just take blank screenshots if I don't switch to windowed mode. Smiling

There is indeed a way to find

There is indeed a way to find them! (They can't be fixed because it's a problem with the player not connecting correctly)
The Pictogram Builders can be found here!

HOWEVER, I'm still working on the updated page so I have not moved the instructions on how to use them yet, so they are still located at the old link, here.

In the case of "page not found" pictograms, Tatsky is correct in that the player page is not generated until the player logs into the community site for the first time. You can see the pictogram's name in the URL bar, at the end of the page's URL.
If it takes you to a blog page instead of a player page, you can just add "-0" at the end of the URL to get the next page with the same name, and then "-1", "-2" and so on until you find the player's page. (in example, one of my pictograms links to a blog titled "Candlelight", so my pictogram's URL is "/community/Candlelight-0"

If you're having screenshot issues, you might try some of the resources on this page, if it's just a matter of TEF not meshing with your computer's operating system.
