I have used Indiegogo before, but maybe you guys know the specifics: How do I change my pledge to say, a higher reward tier? Im really curious about the valentine set and I might want to get that too if I see pictures. But I cannot see a way to change to a higher amount.

Seconding parrotsnpineapple as I've been thinking which tier I wanna get.

Also, the current rewards seem kinda niche, geared towards the forest fans and 3d model enthusiasts,
and not everyone becomes a forest fan off the bat.
Takes more than a single try to get into the game aesthetic, and most people would make their decision
based on their 1st run.
So for the future rewards you're gonna add, perhaps do something more universal.
[I know I'll like those exclusive sets, for example, but those who'll run their forest once or twice in a single month won't hold as much enthusiasm for them]
So, some pretty foresty/mystical stuff, w/o the eerie human faces hullabaloo.

About the models, those w/o the 3d printer would have to make extra effort to get their reward/ may
not be a fan of the new technology after all and it's kinda dissatisfying, so how about
an alternative option on those tiers for people who aren't interested?

Tldr; It'd be perfect if this campaign could appeal to the people who may not even end up playing the game itself.
Have some rewards for them, too.

I saw this yesterday and by today it's already increased by over 2k, this is amazing! I'll scrabble some money together before the time is up. I seem to remember a reaaaally old image of what I'm assuming is the tin set, but I don't recall the valentine set at all.

I'm digging the special sets - I think the exclusive avatar set customization in-game is a key perk. Perhaps more of those could be incentives alongside the 3D models? So, those without 3D capabilities/interest could at least have something else. The masquerade set comes to mind, luchador masks etc there's plenty there. Other than that, a cool incentive would be to give the opportunity to design a set to be included in the new game. Or I don't know, to help design a new statue/magical object/animal morph. Something quirky that appeals to tef's artistic userbase; I'm just calling to mind how insanely popular the set design thread was a while back (when we got the koi and swan sets), so with that in mind it would probably have to be limited to just a couple of backers so you're not inundated... :'] hmmm.

Anyhow, I'm impressed by the start of this. I hope it keeps ticking along!

A brief suggestion for future game updates and developments;

I'd love it if you could consider making it so that fawn sets stuck, just like the adults' sets do.
I'm sure many others aside from myself would love playing as a fawn without having to constantly stop what we're doing to reload a set.

Each new account goes through a 30-day trial before they become adults. A possible way to embed this concept would be so that all accounts that have already undergone the 30-day trial and decide to play as fawns have permanent sets, since they've already gone through the waiting period. After all, that's one of the big factors that gets us through those 30 days, right? The sets! The customization!

I'm a huge fan of the fawn model, and I have no doubt that I'd definitely check the "Play as a fawn" option more often if we had the ability to keep our sets.

+10 to what Leotie said - PLEEASE PLEASE PLEASE do this!! That would be fantastic! I'd be thinking of the same thing for a good while, and you guys went to the effort of having the fawn model made, animated, and given pelts/antlers/masks, some of which (such as the purple and yellow pelt) are exclusive to fawns. Being able to keep our set pieces when playing as a fawn on "aged" pictos would give us a way to really, really enjoy something fully without too much effort on your parts.

A friend of mine expressed some worries that the Unreal engine can be very resource intensive and the game may have high system requirements. Is that something that will be being taken into account and worked with?

Why not?

The Endless Forest already has high system requirements!
And it still doesn't run well on high end game machines when a hundred deer are on the screen. Never has in the ten years of technical evolution.

We think we can make the game run smoothly in such circumstances with Unreal. You'll probably need fairly recent hardware to see the effect of such optimizations. But not necessarily super-high end equipment.

If the intended goal isn't reached, will donaters be refunded?

It seems like word of the campaign is bringing back older TEF members.

Perhaps sending out official emails to already registered users could help increase donations(like the invites you sent out for Sunset etc)?

Hm. I never got an email about the campaign. It is weird because I always received ToT news.

Hmmm. Maybe spam filters are too strong?

I remember back when I was working at uni, someone explained that the filtering of the microsoft 360 suite was so crazy that some emails wpuld never arrive. Or theyd be plonked in this other folder without any notification.

Ive had some emails bounce back to me too because the server decided that I was blacklisted spam.
All very likely possibilities.

I recall something about a Tin set some time ago. I don't recall whether it was ever made as an actual set (I kinda vaguely remember a grey concept, maybe?)

Having the Black as Night pelt would be a nice little reward too, since it's no longer obtainable unless you're playing an older version.
