I woke up on a hill by the Ruins, and watched a pale deer pass by.
It's been a while, it feels like.
I didn't see anyone familiar. I walked around a little bit after stretching and
then I sat down next to a tree.
I wanted to rest, since I must have crossed the entire forest twice.
So there I sat, and I felt surprisingly relaxed until something moved in the corner of my eye...
I turned by head slowly and there, half-hidden by a distant tree,
was a distorted figure looking at me.
No matter how many times I've seen them, my blood still turns cold.
With fear.
When have they ever touched me?
When have they ever made me bleed?
Never.
They've never harmed me,
because I've never given them the chance to.
In a flash I was up and running, tearing through the forest like a murderer escaping from the authorities.
My heart pounded in my ears, and so did the ragged breath of the beast that followed me.
Every time I glanced over my shoulder, I could see it, just yards behind me standing by a tree.
It wasn't running
It didn't need to
I looked forward again and shrieked as it rushed towards me, but I couldn't stop in time.
I shut my eyes tightly and w a i t e d for the impact,
but the impact never came.
My lids slowly lifted, and I realized something strange.
I was sitting on a hill by the Ruins,
and a pale deer passed by.
okay i just got goosebumps.

this was so awesome to read.
I've read almost all of Friiha's diary entries, and dare to say you have a skill for writing scary stuff like this. I love reading them and would be more than happy to discover more soon. ouo
