So, I've read all those entries about writing in CSS, but I still don't understand it. Can someone tell me how to do a layout like this? With these pretty borders, background and without sidebar?
The first blog is great for leatnign about CSS, the second about breaking it up and the third for any little bits of code you need. And if you need any help, other community members are great at lending a hand!
Haha no but really, I don't know where you're getting at with your question? Is there anything specific you don't understand?
Learning CSS is like learning another language. It's easiest to get used to through trial and error, and really just experimenting with the codes. See what happens when you change something. Creating beautiful pages from scratch isn't something you'll learn in a single day.
There are links to templates provided on that eyeburning blog. You can start from there and change these as you wish. If you haven't checked it out yet, read this blog carefully because it explains the code so that it won't just look like a lot of useless jumble.
Again, it's not something you can stuff in your brain in one day. But if you have fun messing with codes it shouldn't be too hard to get the hang of it. If you have any specific questions, there are quite a few people here who can help you.
I would suggest this blog,
