Hey! I'm glad to see this community has an active forum. I've had my eye on this game ever since I was very young, never really getting the chance to play it properly. Once, when I was 14 on my crappy laptop yearsss ago, and now as an adult with a PC. Unfortunately both times having trying to download and play it, it made everything on my desktop huge and impossible to navigate, and just never closed or ruined it for a good amount of time unless I restart.

About 5 months ago I had made this account, fully expecting it to run smoothly. But despite changing the graphics settings, resolution, etc., I couldn't get it to run past 2 to 5 fps, if it wasn't entirely frozen not allowing me to close it that is. So I'd uninstalled it shortly after.

Is there a fix for this? I've always been excited to play but it's a bummer I kept running into these issues. I saw a video of somebody recently trying the game out who had to go through the settings and mess with it for a good 30 minutes or so just to get his to run smoothly. (which is good to know it's possible!)

Is it just because it's an old game, or would it have something to do with my PC? Sorry this is such a long winded post. The TLDR of it is;

The past few years I've been attempting to try TEF, but I've run into performance issues and desktop layout issues each time. Not sure if there are any fixes or if it's normal...

hi! sorry, i'm new. i'm trying to login, i've registered and all that, but i'm a little lost on the ingame side. i've gone to network and have clicked on connect, but it doesn't do anything for me. i'm running this on linux mint with wine, and i've done all the DLL install and setup stuff as per the faq. is the connect button supposed to open a browser window?

I was on pretty late at night and accidently ate some mushrooms and was trying to put on a mask but ended up masking other deers. I hope it doesn't mess up anyone's appearance.
P.S. while i was exploring i saw some pretty deers and i hope to look like that soon

Hello everyone! I played this game a few years back and decided to get back into playing again, I have had a few issues trying to connect before (for example error connecting... error, no log in option) But this issue was with the other version I downloaded on the webside.(tale-of-tales.com) Just yesterday I downloaded the newer version from Michael Samyn form the post, fourth beta version of The Endless Forest Second Decade. It worked and i logged in perfectly but one problem, the square at the bottom left was yellow not green and I did not notice untill minutes later that i wasn't connected. When it tries to connect to the server it does try but refuses to... I cannot see anyone

I've never really been one to use forums all that much so a lot of how to do things evades me. When trying to reply to comments I receive this error

"You have to specify a valid author.44097"

i've tried looking all over the forum or searching up a blog post for help, the support forum doesn't seem to exist anymore, or I can't access it, so if someone can help me figure this out i'd greatly appreciate it! <3
I know this game is old but it does hold a special place in my heart from childhood, I only just re-found it a couple days ago.
