The Destiny of the Crow (Neverwinter Poem)

Writing for Neverwinter for drawing Quad as a wolf. Enjoy!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Once upon a lowly pine tree
A gentle crow stared down at me
He spoke his words so humbly
"Come follow me to your destiny."

The crow flew away from the pine
And lead me deep into Nature divine
My guide vanished quick but left me a sign
I was nearing the destiny I soon would find

I found him sitting on a pillar from above
The ruins of a temple honoring the Sun
And with a humble stare, his words begun
"Here is where your destiny will be won."

I was surrounded by moving sculptures of deer
They threatened me with their antlers here
I asked the crow, "How can I persevere?"
For I never expected to feel such fear

The crow spoke the words that filled my heart
"Confront anger with kindness, that is the start."
So I did what he said, and approached a stone hart
I faced my fear, though my body was overwrought

I kissed him on the forehead, the curse quickly lifted
And watched as the angry deer's body then shifted
They all sat around me, their eyes beautifully glistened
I had conquered their hatred with love unconditioned

"You have learned your lesson, now go out and show
The world the kindness and inspiration you know."
He gave me a look and spoke with a voice so low:
"That is the destiny of all who follow the crow."

Help It Grow (Redd Shortstory)

Writing for Chickenwhite for drawing Quad as a wolf. Enjoy!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

You can do it...

Come on, come on out...

Grow, my friend...

Grow!!

Redd sighed. He removed his hoof from the base of the little sprout. It was no use, he was given a false promise. He was lied to about the gift.

He sat, looking down at the sprout once again. "I-it's such a d-dangerous world here for y-y-you to be here so s-small. T-there are always angry d-deer fighting one a-another here, and c-c-clumsy fawns who aren't w-watching where they s-s-step. Oh...oh I wish I-I could convince you to g-g-grow..."

Redd recalled the event that happened a few moments ago. He was resting between his two favorite trees when he saw a little bird laying awkwardly on the ground. The deer tilted his head curiously, and standing, he approached the little bird. It writhed and cried out painfully, though only able to make sounds that were difficult to hear. It had been crying out for some time now, and it's calls were falling on deaf ears.

"W-what is wrong, l-l-little bird?", Redd asked it. He surveyed the creature much more - it was a variety of hummingbird, and he could tell that its wing was injured. The hummingbird writhed, panting deeply, trying to speak to the deer, trying to tell him to end its life. Redd couldn't understand the words, but instead, he bent down, "Don't w-worry, I won't h-h-hurt you, I am o-only going to h-help, so p-p-please don't p-peck at me."

He gently picked up the hummingbird in his mouth, not biting down but rather just lifting it with his lips. The hummingbird struggled a little at first, but then relaxed, making short, quick breaths. Redd moved as fast as he could, taking the hummingbird across the Forest, past the birch trees and to the old Fountain.

Journeyman (For Bluedeerlegend18)

Here's a story for Bluedeerlegend18 for drawing Quad as a wolf. I hope you don't mind having a non-TEF story, but I wanted to write this one for you since you said you love wolves. Also these songs inspired the story: Journey Man and Pine Woods, both by Korpiklaani. (I hope the links are okay, if not I'll fix them when I get home tonight. No sound on the computer I'm at)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been hiking for three days now. It has been quite the adventure, but I have to admit, things have gone downhill since yesterday, so-to-speak. The first two nights camping were fine. I had no problems finding a place to camp, having plenty of food and supplies for this adventure, pitching my tent at the right time so I didn't lose any daylight...

Well, the circumstances have changed. Last night I was awoken by the sounds of a bear. It had sniffed out the food I had brought with me, and when it started to rip my tent apart to get to my supplies, I had to cut through the other side of my tent to escape. I took my backpack with me so I'd be able to find my way back.

Since first daylight, I've gotten lost. I can't even find my campsite, I left many of my supplies there, I'm sure all of my food has been eaten by the bear and raccoons. I'm ready to go home. Looking through my backpack, I have a few supplies on-hand. I'm lucky to have my first-aid kit packed, and I still have my car keys. There's a little bit of beef jerky left, at least I have a little food. My water bladder is halfway full, so I've got some water available. Now where is...

Oh great. Just great. I left the map and compass at the campsite. Wonderful.

Let's see. There's some moss on this tree, so now I know which direction north is.

Candles Lit Before Me (Katara Poem)

Poem for Katara00176 for drawing Quad as a wolf. Hope this okay Eye

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The
candles
are lit before me,
I walk past
their loving light
The mist
flows by my ankles,
like a gentle
caress from Nature
The fog
fills my lungs so deeply,
I call out
with words formed in the air
The mush
rooms grow like a little forest,
I softly
smile to their successful lives
The
squirrels run past through the mist,
their
scurries remind me of my youth
The Forest offers us all solace
And I
always
will be
here to
honor
the flames
of inspiration

Simple version -

The candles are lit before me,
I walk past their loving light
The mist flows by my ankles,
like a gentle caress from Nature
The fog fills my lungs so deeply,
I call out with words formed in the air
The mushrooms grow like a little forest,
I softly smile to their successful lives
The squirrels run past through the mist,
their scurries remind me of my youth
The Forest offers us all solace
And I always will be here to honor the flames of inspiration

Is there such a thing as alone?

"I'm lonely" whispered little fawn whispered sadly to the Great Tree.
Wind seemed to burst stronger suddenly. Leaves and grass rustled violently. Ground trembled to the rhythm of the entrancing melody. A faceless, ageless voice seem to speak from space beyond perception.

"lonely? lonely? look around you, little one. The grass. The trees. The critters/ They are with you. How can you even dare say you;re lonely? lonely can be humans who indulge their weakness and do not let themselves grow stronger. You, we, nature..we are not lonely. This world is full of spirits and creatures...just listen to them,. You cannot ever be lonely or alone" .

For everyone who has lost a pet...

This is for you all, from someone who has lost pets before.

-------------------------------------------

Remember the day we met
When our eyes met each other
Remember bringing me to your home
Those first few days when I didn't know my way around
Remember coming home every day and seeing me there
I hope I brightened your day, because you always brightened mine
Remember the fun and happy days we had
As well as the bad days, and how we managed to get past them
Remember the love you gave me
Even if it was just a little, it was more than enough
Remember what you did for me
You gave me a place to live. Not everyone can, but you did

Remember that I can never thank you enough for your love
And always remember that I live within your heart, always.

Time to heal (shortstory)

I walked with Quad again today. I asked him about all of this. "All the pain and suffering in the world, it's just too much. Why do I feel so helpless against it all?"

He nudged my arm and said, "Because you yourself are part of the pain and suffering."

We stopped, he stood before me, "Look into my eyes.", he said. I did so, and just faintly within his beautiful brown eyes I saw my own reflection.

"Your time will come when you can save the world, Chris. You're not ready yet, you haven't gotten your wings yet. But one day you will, and when that day comes, I will fly with you to all your desires.", he spoke.

I didn't reply, I didn't know what to say. Quad always knew the right words for me.

He nodded, "Take the time to heal your own pain, and let go of your suffering. And remember you are a beautiful person. You forget that sometimes."

I smiled at him, "Thank you, Quad, for everything."

"Don't give up, Chris. Don't give up.", he replied.

Watching over (Snow shortstory)

Writing for SnowSauria for Drawing Quad as a wolf. Since you refer to Snow as an 'it' due to being a hermaphrodite, that's what I decided to go with as well. Enjoy Eye

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The muntjac was curled up on a bed of flowers. A nice dream played in its mind, and it kicked its hind legs slightly, imagining running in an open meadow. Snow called out in the dream, listening, hoping it wasn't alone.

It felt warmth on its belly, looking around it saw nothing but wildflowers in the meadow. What was causing this gentle warming?

Snow opened its eyes, half-awake. The creature looked down to see a small fawn had curled up by it, her little body pressed up onto Snow's green belly. Blinking for a few moments, Snow yawned and its head rested back on the flowers. The added warmth was comforting to it, and very easily it began to dream once again.

But this time, the fawn was in the meadow as well. She looked up to the creature before her. "Hello there! What would you like to do today?", the fawn asked. Snow was hesitant, but then asked, "Hide and seek?" The fawn's face brightened, and she darted off into the tall grass, calling, "You'll never find me!"

A few moments of silence, only the sound of the gentle breeze brushing past the flowers and grass. Snow smiled, taking a deep whiff of the air. It could smell the fawn, but only faintly. The flowers seemed to mask her scent. The muntjac followed the scent, getting stronger with each step.

"Oww!", Snow heard the fawn cry nearby, "Hey where did you come from?"

"I don't know, I got lost out here!", another voice spoke, a slightly deeper tone to it. Snow tilted its head, and peeking through the grass, it found two little fawns whispering to one another.

"Oh, you found me! You're really good at this game!", the girl fawn spoke.
