On the other shore [Cat Chris]

For my writing challenge, a story about my imaginary friend when I was a child. Please feel free to participate as well, I'd love to read a story about your imaginary friend when you had one (or if you still do).

My imaginary friend was named Cat Chris, and was an anthropomorphic feline character who had impressive speed and reflexes. He fought against an evil character named Slimeco, who inspired the earliest stages of Iugulare's infection. So you'll see infected creatures pop up in the story, but from a different villain than Iugulare.

Anyway, enjoy.

-----------------------------------------

The distant shore was slowly approaching in the early morning light. He stood on the edge of the boat, another ferrying him across. It was an island of horrors, as it harbored many production plants by that evil being named Slimeco. It was one source for many of the infected creatures that had begun spreading throughout the world. The facility needed to be shut down, or else Slimeco's domination of Earth would continue to spread.

He needed to be careful here. The island was crawling with infected creatures, all who would love to capture and infect Slimeco's enemy. Even the waters teemed with infected whales and dolphins. They watched the boat close by, unsure whether to attack or to wait. He was lucky they didn't knock him off the boat.

He can't swim. One of the few weaknesses of being a cat.

His feline ears perked and twitched, listening for any signs of danger. His eyes were locked on the distant horizon - green eyes with slit pupils. His fur was golden with brown stripes that lined his cheeks and arms. He wore loose clothing much like a martial artist, with some supplies on his belt. The less he had to carry, the faster he could be.

The boat drifted to the shore.

Prison

Vent writing ahead.

Here I sit, behind these bars
Nothing but an open field to see
No possibility of parole
No bonds can be paid for my crime
No get out of jail card

Here I sit, watching free birds fly
Watching deer in the distance
Wishing I could be like them
But then remembering what I am
A prisoner who could never be free

Here I sit, waiting for my fate
Wondering what will ever happen to me
Dreaming of what I'd enjoy in life
But dreams are nothing but false
My crime seals my life away

Here I sit, deep in my thoughts
Reflecting on my sentence
Wondering how the crime I made
Could ever be punished so severely
I am a living example of such

Here I sit, behind these bars
One who committed the ultimate crime
Of being born, of being alive
And not being able to pay my debt
Because life is a costly mistake

The King's Night (Mr. Sanguine)

Inspiration

I apologize if I get his speech or personality incorrect.

The pond was unusually high this night. His gaze looked to the heavens, seeing the moon much larger and redder than normal. The sight pleased him. Red was his color...the color of kings.

Here he stood watch over those who slumbered. Mere pawns, but perhaps...a rook, knight, or bishop could emerge from them. They had potential...to become loyal, to serve the crown...to even die for their king.

But who was worthy? Who of these lowly peasants could fill the ranks of the king's loyal militia? Who among them would give their life for the crown?

He walked on, the cooling waters pleasant to his hooves, but he looked for something else. Somewhere fit for a king. As he walked on up the hill, he soon found a great tree. It was the biggest of all in the Forest, and just looking at it's grandeur was inspiring. He peered in. No commoners in here. Nothing but a hollow ambiance. It seemed like a suitable place for a king to rest his weary bones.

He sat and watched from within the shelter of the Oak. It was his castle, the sound echoing into his mind and breaking the silence of the night. He began to drift into a slumber when he heard something...a quiet whisper in his ears.

"A chamber fitting for one of royalty such as yourself. Yes...you claim this old tree as your own, just for this night, but I could give you the entire Forest.", the voice was chilling and raspy. The king turned to see who was talking to him, but saw nothing but darkness.

"Show yourself!", his voice was loud and booming, a commanding authority to those lesser than him.

He turned and was taken aback when the slender creature was standing before him, blocking the entrance to the Oak. [=darkgrey]"The entire Forest could become your kingdom if you would simply serve me.

Pet

Don't fret precious,
I'm here,
Step away from the window,
Go back to sleep~

The wardrums beat,
In my soggy,
Deaf ears,
Falling like a resonating,
Hummm,
I can't give up,
It's what I've survived so long for,
What I'm dyin' for,
What I'll lie for.

Lay you're head down,
Child, I won't let the boogymen come~

The demons sparkle as the air,
Catches in a cold,
Fiery fist,
Of bliss,
When you burn in Heaven,
Do you freeze in Hell?
The burnin' flames,
In you're eyes,
As beautiful as my disguise,
I take in your veiled,
Fiery eyes,
In your lies,
I cannot see the wronged truth,
The burned youth.
Wherein your lies,
Catch in my ghostly eyes.

Lay your head down child,
I won't let the boogymen come,
Countin' bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums~

They don't see you,
They go near you,
'Cause they are ignorant,
Tainted in their lies,
In my veiled and misty eyes,

Can you see me yet?
Do you know who I am?
Can you see the fiery confusion?
The agony?
If you know by now,
You cannot see the end,
The undone end,
Of my this burned bliss,
What I've already missed,
I leaped before I looked,
Payed the price in the flames,
As I never went,
I never went gentle.
You should never go gentle,
'Cause it's just lies,
In your wrong paradise.
Look into my eyes,
Caressing the skies,
Don't you want that?
Don't you want that?
Then burn in this bliss,
As I leap and miss.

Mystic's story part 2

Her mother told her "Gau does not like you and tried to kill you because he is worried" Mystic stared at her....."Why is he worried?" Her mother smiled "because thee pond is shrinking, but there nothing to worry about, we have the De Drinkplats. Mystic decided to play with the other fawns, they started laughing at poor mystic. But one of them played with her, his name was Summanus. He said "that means night time" all the fawns slept in the old oak.

Hey there!

Hello guys, the comments you posted really helped me. Thank you for that. Now I have other two questions:

1. How can I post some screenshots? I don't know how to put the link to post them.
2. Whenever I want to comment, there appears a thingy that says "You have to specify a valid author. (some numbers)." What is the way I can post comments correctly?

Hope we see in the forest! Smiling
Bye.

Oh, and the last two questions so I don't annoy you anymore:
3. How can I put more than 1 image in an "album"?
4. How can I put an image in my signature?

I am the Green Hair Girl

A while ago I drew this girl with green hair who's been floating in my mind forever. And I've been wanting to do something with her, but I can't seem to think of anything. So eventually I came up with this as a way to explore what I wanna do.
