Kheiron's words almost surprised her, and if it hadn't been for her aching body, she would have laughed. Having to defend her against Evania seemed to make him tougher.
"And you do a good job on it." She forced a slight giggle, before sighing.
"But sadly, I'm not going to force myself to stay sick just to let you chase others away." She tried to be humorous, but the pain was overwhelming, and Illrose had to close her eyes for a moment. Right now, sleeping was the best thing to do, and the only way to get rid of the pain.

Illrose lifted her head when Toukan rose to his feet. She wondered what he was up to, but was to tired to even ask. She laid her head down again, desperate trying to ignore the pain that ran through her body. She had closed her eyes, when a strange scent hit her nostrils. Mint? Illrose opened her eyes again, staring at the stalks before she looked up at Toukan at his explanation.
"Thanks." She murmured, and lifted her head to drag the stalks closer. Tired, she began to nibble of one of them.

( I'm really glad, cause I had no idea how to treat her wound. xD )

Saanra;
Illrose was drifting in and out of sleep, relaxed when knowing she had her friends around. When a rather unfamiliar voice spoke, she lifted her head, curiously looking in that direction. She immediately remembered the little deer. It was a friend of Leviathann.
"What?" She asked, her voice mild, but also very, very tired. She perked her ears to catch Saanra's voice when she spoke again.
If I remember right you weren't the only one to blame. Me and my friend did tease you, didn't we? I say you reacted just as you should, showing us you wouldn't let us step on your toes." She added, before she gave a slight nod.
"You didn't annoy me - not too much. I was rather impressed." Illrose had to lay her head down again, but she still focused on Saanra.

"R... Really..? You think I do good?" His eyes brightened up. He wasn't sure if she was joking or not, but it was a big compliment to him anyway.
"Oh..." He looked at her again. The doe seemed to be in severe pain, and Kheiron was worried for her. But he knew she'd be okay. Of course! Illrose always did fine!
....but it still hurt him to see her like this.

Illrose needs to stop making friends with her enemies, lol. It's only gonna get her in trouble *cough*gustiro*cough*

Hototo's latest update peripherally involves Ilrose and her fester-wound. Want to know if I may use whatever ails her as an explanation for Hototo's absence while I have no PC. Also a possible way to re-involve him in something when I am able to play in-forest again? Pretty please?

Hmm, something completely different from Kheiron, at least. I just can't seem to get into Kheiron's character, and it's really bothering me. And yes, I'm thinking something more... malicious. I guess I just need something else to work on and see how it goes. I'm just not sure if I'm able to play such a character in-forest. xD

I'm actually in-forest with this guy right now. Just need to check if I'm able to play him. xD so far I feel a bit rude for turning my back on a few deer that suddenly jumped on him, lol. /reminds herself not to force her own thoughts onto her deer

What's ironic is that I'm actually more the type to play villains, lol. Dunno why Kheiron is so nice. xDD hm. Maybe that's why he doesn't feel right to me.....

well I think I like the sound of that, then xD rofl thank you, that actually helped a bit. my problem is just that I hesitate too much.

The sudden movements from the stag next to her made Illrose cast a quick glance at him. His voice was low when he spoke, but Illrose was still able to catch his words. She looked over at him, now able to smile without it just becoming a grimace in pain.
"No, thank you." She silently replied, giving him a gently nudge with the tip of her skull mask.

His confusion made her smile again.
"For being here." She simply said, now realizing he perhaps had been so lost in his own thoughts he didn't even know he had kept her company the whole day. Oh well, at least he had been there. Illrose looked at him for a moment, before she laid her head to rest onto the ground again, trying to find a comfortable position that didn't make the wound hurt too much. At least the bleeding seemed to have stopped, even when she moved around.

"But I guess you were far off in your own thoughts if you didn't notice." Her voice was calm, but had a slight hint, trying to tell he could say what he had on his mind - if he wanted to, of course. His question made her glance back at her wound, it looked pretty bad, and all the dried blood in her fur made it look even worse. She grimaced.
"Yeah, it does." She replied with a nod.
Luckily I haven't seen any more creatures like the one that attacked me. I doubt I could have fought off another one." She shivered for a moment, thinking about the devastating pain when the skeleton wolf had bitten down into her side, buried it's fangs into her flesh.

Illrose nodded.
Yes. It was a walking wolf skeleton that attacked me. Not exactly what you expect to meet around here. But I removed this..." Here she paused for a moment, to find the rock she had carried with her since she met the wolf, still not sure what to do with the black rock.
"...from it's skull, and then it...died. Or something." She shrugged. She had been thinking about taking the rock to the Twin Gods hill. It felt right, somehow. But for now, Illrose kept the rock close, while she listened carefully as Jack spoke again. She gave a nod in agreement. She knew very well how difficult it could be to trust others. But her curiosity was awoken now.
"Of course. Whatever it is, I won't tell anyone." Illrose replied. She was not the type to go around babbling about secrets to others. No, whatever Jack had to say, it was safe with her.

"Yes, a wolf." Illrose confirmed with a nod. She knew there was some deer here in this place that perhaps had canine features, but this was not anything like that. It was the skeleton of a predator that had been given life by this mysterious rock she carried. Why, and why here, Illrose did not know. But right now she had other things to think about than the wolf skeleton. She had a feeling it was something quite important Jack was going to share with her now so Illrose did not speak more of the wolf, she only listened when Jack began to speak, mentioning the family he had had. But she gave a small nod when he stopped, as if to encourage him to go on.

It was easy to follow what he said in the beginning. If there was a war, and he was allowed to see his family, did that mean he had been a soldier? One of those fighting for his land? It made her own wound sting when Jack began to gnaw on his leg, cowering his white fur in blood. And then he began to speak faster, making Illrose frown in concentration as she tried to follow. She then shook her head, still a bit confused.
"If there was a fire, how could it be your fault?" She asked carefully. Somehow, what he told made her feel really bad about her own past. It reminded her of how she had swooped down from the skies, cowering villages in her burning fire, laughing as the two-legged creatures cried out in pain and sorrow when loosing family and home. Now she saw it all from a different point of view. From the two-legged creature's point of view. Illrose quickly shook her head, getting rid of the thoughts and quickly focusing on Jack again.

The words Illrose spoke... he heard tham so many times before... out of different mouths... and so many times Jane told him this as well...
He head those words, yes.. he understood them... but for some reason they never reached his mind. Someone had to be responsible for this ...why not him...?
After... after all.. he had done so mny terrible things.

He started to giggle all of the sudden...
"You... you never... never tell tell anyone... what... what just happened...yes...?" his voice had changed back to his usual tune.

When he curled up next to her, Illrose finally found the courage to comfort him as she had wished to do earlier. She laid her head to rest on his body, stroking the chin of her skull gently over his fur.
"No, I won't tell a soul about this." She quietly replied. She wished there was something she could say or do to ease his pain, but she knew that wasn't the case. She could only try to understand his pain, but not even that could she fully understand, since she hadn't been there herself.
"But I'm glad you decided to tell me this, Jack." She added after a moment in silence. Finally, she had got a little glimpse into his mind, hopefully this would help her to understand Jack better.

"I understand you, dear Umay." Illrose replied, an almost saddened smile on her face, hidden behind the skull mask.
"I guess I interfered in something I should have stayed out from, and I'm glad you hold no grudges against me, even though I fought against you at some point. I still care about you as well, and I forgive you, although there isn't really anything to forgive. You are still my friend."

The white stag snickered. "Of... of course you won't... I... i would kill you if.. if you do... yes...?" he mumbled while he was slowly drifting into sleep.

He may hadn't been a murderar back then... today he certainly was.

"...and... and I still... still don't believe..." he mumbled with a sleepy voice.
