Missy | Art + Screenshots

She used to be a regular deer.
A doe with soft eyes the color of river mud and a coat brushed in golden-brown sunlight. She lived in a quiet enclosure in a small town zoo, watched by children with sticky fingers and sleepy parents who rarely gave her more than a passing glance.
To the keepers, she had been known as 'Missy.' A stained oak sign hung on an old wooden pole which ran far above her enclosure. Her world was small, but peaceful. Leaves drifting from the same trees, the rustle of paper bags, and the low hum of voices beyond her containment.

Then it began on a quiet, cloudy evening. The zookeeper had just done her rounds, whistling a tune as she locked the gate. The doe lifted her head, ears flicking, drawn to something beyond the trees. Something behind the fence. Not outside of it, but behind reality. Something unseen but watching. She blinked. And the world blinked back. The cameras failed that night, static hissing like a whisper through the surveillance feed. When morning came, she was still there. Standing in the same place. But something had… shifted.
The keepers didn’t notice right away. She looked the same, after all. At first. They didn’t see the way her legs bent just a little too far when she walked. Or how her eyes no longer reflected light. No more warm brown-- only black, like the depths of an eclipse. They didn’t hear her voice, because deer don’t make sounds like that. Not until one night, a guard found her standing upright at the edge of the enclosure, hooves curled around the chain-link fence like fingers. Watching. Smiling?
By the time they realized she wasn’t a normal doe, weeks had passed, and it was too late. She wasn’t just changed-- she was transforming. Her presence warped the air, turned leaves brittle on the trees, made birds fall silent when she walked past. Visitors grew sick in her presence, noses bleeding, vision blurring. One child claimed “the deer whispered to her,” but no one believed her.

The zoo suspected CWD (Chronic wasting disease) and there was talk of euthanasia.

One zookeeper, Emily ----, sustained a psychological break at the news and attempted to free the entity, repeatedly referring to it as “the only one who ever saw me.” No further questioning was provided at the time. Emily ---- has since then disappeared and no trace of her has been recovered.

Missy, the beloved pet doe, disappeared the very night after medical examination, her case remaining cold, labeled 6448-ZOO after the SCP organization reviewed the footage. Despite great attempts, SCP was unable to locate the doe. She became just another "not deer" for their files, though her transformation remained unique. No prior exposure. No known contamination. She had simply become another 6448, a Not Deer. What exactly happened that night remains unknown, as do the creatures whereabouts.

Such a tragic but great story

Such a tragic but great story to read. I really enjoyed taking care and playing with Missy. She is a true friend to all of us. Her pictogram is very elegant too! I love the artwork!
Thank you for keeping Jeweleye a lot of company in his circle. He really needed a lot of comfort! Smiling

love these screenshots

love these screenshots Widmung!! thank you for being Missy's first comment on her bio. your characters are so very special to her (and me of course.) and truly, the pleasure is all mine to keep Jeweleye company in his mushroom circle. i actually have a little gift to show my gratitude for your company. i'm quite a lonely person, so the company really means the world to me.

and, i've even named the drawing in true Widmung fashion;
"Circlular Worshippers"

it's so odd to me, how fate orchestrated their meeting in a way. before I revamped Missy's character, and she was named "Leera," Jeweleye was the first deer to welcome her back into the forest. i carry that over to Missy too, and Jeweleye still remains special to her, as a welcoming guide into the forest, her first friend upon return, and as a kind-hearted stag that welcomed her into his mushroom circle.

thank you again my precious friend, and i'll see you in the forest again soon Eye (i say as we sit with Eris and Culver in game hahaha <3)
