Finding myself back here! + a few questions

Hello everyone!

I used to be a player of this game around 13 years ago, when I was merely a child. Something has brought me back to the forest and I want to play again! However, when I log into the most recent available version (3.41), the game simply will not let me connect! I've made a new account and a new pictogram, and I was able to connect for around 20 minutes, and since then the little dot stays red Sad
Are the old Quest3D servers down, does everyone play the beta version from the fundraising campaign?

Basically, how can I play again? Puzzled

Okay so immediately after posting I tried running as an administrator and the connection worked haha!
Well either way, I'd still love to hear how it's going over on the beta servers!

Hello there, we are so happy to hear that you have decided to return to the endless forest <3
It is wonderful that you were able to get the game running and we hope to see you soon!

As for the Beta , well . . someone might have more energy to explain about it then i do -_-
But just so you know, no one plays the remake. The original is so vastly superior and the remake
has controls that make it pretty unplayable. Most players consider the original version to be the best
because of its unique glitches that allow us to expand on the way we play as well as emote blending
that allow our deer to have combined movements and body language. Plus many other reasons as well.

Never the less, we are excited to see you and hope to son learn more about your new deer!

I'm happy to be back! (Although I cannot find my old account at all haha!)

That's so interesting! I was reading the entire indiegogo, and if some of the ideas come to fruition, such as the new animals and new terrains that sounds so cool, but I can understand why everyone still plays the original!

The Beta is basically in

The Beta is basically in development hell, and has been for nearly a decade (it will be a decade by the end of this year). It's been a massive disappointment with several features (Emote blending, "flight") not being added because the dev "doesnt know how" and refuses the communities help because despite having players who do work in game dev we aren't qualified enough according to said dev. The beta is basically old TEF with all the fun removed.

The beta servers are down most of the time or very finicky to get on.

There are no new features added so far despite meeting some donation goals.

In it's current state despite being called an upgrade, the community finds it inferior and just sticks to the old version.

Also the donations for the game ran out, and the dev closed off being able to make donations towards it so make that of what you will.
