Chapter 7: In Which a Way Out is Revealed

“You are yourself, of course,” said the trees, disregarding Seed’s growing alarm. He turned around and around, trying to grasp at himself. He rubbed the wood of his legs together, and found they scraped together, sending a vivid splash of feeling up and down there. It didn’t feel like flesh, but it felt. His ears pinned back and his lips pursed, trying to work out the puzzle behind the sensation he had in the wooden parts of him.
“Perhaps more so…” “More so.” “More so.” “To see the base of your being so… Pleased us.” “Pleased.” “Please!”

Seed took a wary step back. The last time he’d gone half-tree – well, it’d been different, for one – it had been the tree’s intent to turn him back. It took him a moment to realize that in a forest, there was really no way to step back from the trees – even in the pond in front of him, a tree merrily poked its long, slender trunk out through the water’s surface. He supposed it thought itself a cypress.
“…Don’t get any ideas…I…I like being a deer.” Yes. To thank the people who had helped him…To live his life as he had been living it for years now. That was what he wanted. “I won’t let you.”

“We know.” “We know.” The trees mumbled, sadly. “…We considered.” One little voice admitted, a lone tree in a forest where the wind had gone dead through the leaves.

“…I may have been too harsh, there. I suppose… If you really wanted me to not return to being a deer, you’d have taken advantage of me.“ He did not remember what it had been like, very well, now.

I'm from Brazil and I have doubts about the endless forest

Free Sketchies? o 3o

Since I'm still up, I can do a few sketches (most likely headshots/busts though). I won't do all of the ones you throw at me but I will draw some ^^" It's also practice xD I can do both deer and human faces, though....I'm not too keen on the idea of me trying to draw a male face lol :S

edit: If you want an example, there's the picture of Serafiel I drew on her bio.
edit 2: pick up your sketches here

The Shy One {Leaf} {Bio} [Offline] {WIP}

Name: Leaf

Pictogram: X

Status: Sleeping

Gender: Female

Appearance: Fawn

Bio:
Leaf was born as an unusually small fawn, smaller than the other fawn that were born at the same time as her. As she grew to the age of where she could play and run with the other fawn, she was often singled out because of her strange size or just because the other fawn's mothers would say not to be too rough around Leaf. Being the shy one, she wasn't too keen on meeting new deer. Sometimes, she would back away a bit or hide behind a tree or bush. It doesn't mean she doesn't want to be your friend, she just grows nervous around strangers. I'm sure if you stay around her more, she's a lovely little deer.

}Clover{ Ace Reporter! [Bio] (WIP)

Name: Clover

Gender: Doe

Age: Young Fawn

Picto: A pencil scribbling on a leaf next to a raindrop

Species: TEF Thomson's Gazelle

Appearance: Clover is a young, human-faced Thomson's gazelle. She is the tawny color of a fawn with only the faintest outlines of the dark marks she will have as an adult. The sun has imprinted white spots on her coat and light freckles on her cheeks. Her eyes are a green hazel. Her mother says they are the color of clovers, but the fawn thinks they are more the color of mud. Her horns have yet to start coming in. It is likely she will not have any as her mother and most of the female side of her family lacks horns which upsets the young fawn. Clover likes to tuck flowers like dandelions and poppies behind her ears. She uses the stems of these flowers to write her weekly "news" articles.

Size: Between 4 and 8 (now), A little smaller than 23 (adult)

Set: Default fawn set and poppy flowers
