I thought this would be an interesting topic. I've discovered a little about myself that my favorite season is Autumn. Beforehand, I always thought Summer was my favorite, because it was the time away from school to relax and have fun. Well, as I grew older, Summer became less of a season to relax and more of one to get things done (or to work more than I normally would).

So eventually I discovered Autumn was my favorite season. It has a lot of nostalgia for me, and I just love the weather when it's between hot and cold. Plus the trees are just so beautiful.

Anyway, I've discovered that I have started some traditions to invite or otherwise 'celebrate' the coming of Autumn:

#1: 10 Years was a band I got to hear at a local music festival in October, Bayfest. I bought their first CD at the festival and ever since I associated their music with Autumn. I seem to only listen to them between September through December. Since yesterday, I started listening to them again in celebration of Autumn.

Ironically, their first album is titled The Autumn Effect.


Here are a few of my favorite songs by them, if you wanted to hear what they sound like:

10 Years - So Long, Goodbye (Probably my favorite song. This would be Quad's death song if he had one)

Adding a new character.

So, I decided to just go ahead and start a new roleplay blog. Anyone can join in any time (although I would prefer if you ask first anyway). I don't have anything in particular in mind, and plots aren't really my thing. If you're cool with that, feel free to join!

My characters:

Amary -bio-
(For Amary: Anyone would be good, really, although in her current state, someone who isn't going to be bouncing around all over the place and won't be aggressive would be ideal.)

Melinoe -bio-
(For Melinoe: The best kinds of characters to interact with Melinoe are any spirits/ghosts, undead/zombies, demons, or characters with some kind of connection with spirits/the afterlife/etc. If you want someone who will clash with her, almost any other type of character would do, especially deer that are friendly, cheerful, or persistent)

Maera -bio-
(fantasy/humanoid bio)
-also, you may want to check out her reference, since the picture on her bio is no longer completely accurate
(For Maera: any fawn characters would be good, or someone who would fight or spar with her. Any demon-like or vampire character would automatically become an enemy.)

Oisín -bio-
(I decided to open Oisín up to everyone, though I'm not sure what to do with him, or what kinds of characters would be best to interact with him...just about anyone, I suppose, save those with skull masks/faces.)

I just turned into a stag today and someone gave me lovely skin colors. Then other stags came and were nice and started turning me colors too. But there were some I really liked.. Is there a way to keep a pelt/antler someone gives you, despite other people changing them?

And.. is there any way to keep the ones people gave me that I didn't 'save' (if that's at all possible). Someone was super nice and gave me this beautiful set of antlers so I said thanks and logged right after in hopes I wouldn't loose it.

Omg! I logged in today and I'm a stag now! A beautiful stag with antlers.. I'm all grown up today! WOO!

Ok. Well next week is going to be a really rough one. I have to take a test that determines whether or not I can go back into university for my masters degree. I really hope I do well, if not, I'm just really not quite sure what I will do with my life. I'm sure I'll figure out something, but I'd really like for this one thing to work out..

I'm kinda nervous about the test, but kinda not. See, I took it already when I was 17 and now that I'm 24.. I have to take it again and get -ONE- point higher then the first time. I hope I know more things by now? And after 4 years of college..? Lol.. But you never know how things go.. and I'm not sure if they changed it or not.

Well.. on a more fun subject.. I got a trunk full of Halloween decorations for the townhouse. I can't wait to hang them up and make ti look all spiffy. ^__^ Going home sunday I think.

And.. on a really weird note.. they have a funeral home commercial that plays the most beautiful french music with violins... odd but peaceful.
