Hahaha, this is so win. ~TEF related

Well, after frolicking around earlier, Myu decided to wake up, and explore around a bit longer.

She came across quite an unusual sight whilst exploring the forest:

Triple threat hilarity, anyone?

Note: She's the deer with the "o__O" text next to her =)

Myu would also like to say that she's currently resting in the ruins. If anyone wants to join her, feel free =)

Zelig's Diary - Index

Here, you can find all of Zelig's diary entries. Hopefully I'll get into the habit of writing down the majority of Zelig's days in the Forest.

grateful

My Mom and I were in a car accident today. A woman pulled out to go on the opposite ride of the road just as I was reaching her. From what a witness said, I did a really good job of trying to stop and avoid her- but in the end I did end up hitting her. Everyone involved was okay, although the EMTs that arrived at the scene insisted I go to the hospital because I had some neck pain. In the end I just have very bad whiplash and I'm going to be very sore for the next few days.

I don't even know what the point of this is, but I guess I'm very happy to be alive. Sorry it's not really TEF related. I just know so many of you on here now and it's like a family to me.

The Diary of Seed, 10-10-09

[=#006400]Every now and then, she stop and looks... so surprised, like she didn't expect that anyone would be interested in being around her.
Nevilly transformed me into a squirell when I arrived, and we spent a little while playing the squashing game -- I had, unexpectedly, a bit of a knack for stepping out of the way the moment before she struck. A little bit before the cat-and-mouse (deer-and-squirrel, I should say) got monotonous, I transformed back. We bounced our way around the ruins, our hooves making echoing beats around the dry earth and cool stone. We played for a while in the cage -- the cage, I think, is a funny thing: We play in it freely, we mime being caught -- and sometimes, we mime that there is a reason, that we are dangerous when we are not. Perhaps the cage lets us -- in jest -- uncage something in ourselves? But no, this is besides the point. We played a little longer, and then came to stand on the small platform, and she laid her head on my back. We stayed like this for what felt like a long time.

After she left, I went and joined Zelig and a friend of his (I assume), in sitting in the poppy patch. Alice V and another deer came and joined us, and Saosin, who had been asleep, woke up. We ran around for a while, but I admit -- I wasn't in the mood to run with a large group, so I fled off with Alice V the first chance I got, and I left not long after besides.

Zelig's Diary - 10/10/09

10th Day, 10th Month.

Today marks the end of the Rut. My first real rut, where I sparred in earnest. So far, 3 won, 3 lost. I'm not bitter, though. I hope we could spar again, some other time, but somehow I don't think my comerades would be so game.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Lady Gwen. I met her again this morning. The driving rain has been relentless these past days, so I played the part of shelter. I didn't mind at all. She went to sleep, in the shelter of a tree, so I went on with the day.

I spent some time by the pond. Socialized with some fellows there. I had a surprise pelt change, and for a while, wore a smart brown and slightly spotty colour. Very Flash. A doe approached me that I'm not sure I've met before. Although I may have heard of her. We pranced, we played. And sheltered from the rain in the oak. She could be a contender! I won't know for sure unless I run into her again, or she tells me her name. In any case she seemed fun and spirited.

Speaking of spirits! I met Saint Jizo today- the guardian of fawns. I saw her, she was joined by two little young ones, so I thought I could do my good deed for the day- I trotted over, and gave one fawn the flowers from my antlers. Then I went back to the patch, and got another set for the second. Jizo seemed pleased- I wonder if she might help me fawnsit when I sire some of my own, one day...

After a long day of romping and roaming, spell casting and sneezing off /all those pelts/ I was starting to feel dizzy and tired again. I felt the need to sit down, and sometimes dosed off right in the middle of play! So I decided, if I was going to be sleeping, I might as well do it constructively- I went to the hill beside the ruins, the one with the mushroom ring, and settled down to sleep...

Now we move on.

Another encounter.

"Unforseen defections aside... We still outnumber you. >888D"

"Haha, Bastilion would be proud. Not one shed drop of blood!"
(Yep, Wesker and Dark were in close quarters and taunting, and didn't fight!)

Praying the Wesker away - or something. XD

Glowey heads!

It didn't work.

Seed's picture

So I was thinking... (Community Aid BrainStorming!)

And you know what's starting to get on my nerves? "Oh, what has happened to the Forest? Everything used to be so much better." Especially in the format of the long rant. That actively kills my enjoyment of the Forest and the community, right here and right now. But just asking people to stop isn't going to fix anything, especially when they have a valid reason to complain about something. What's going to fix things is action.

So, I figured what might be a better idea would be brainstorming about what we like and liked best about the community, and then think of ways to implement it and spread that implementation, for the better of everybody!

I guess I'll start. I like diaries, and I miss reading them a lot. Just the "daily happenings" on someone's updates don't do it for me in the same way. Now, what I think I'm going to do about it is:
a) Be more contientious about putting Seed's diaries up. Hopefully more people will see them and be encouraged to do the same.
b) Maybe I could start some sort of diaries contest...Maybe a randomly selected person who writes a diary that week (that I can find or that links it to a pre-arranged contest page) will get a chibi of the character whose diary it is?

Anyone else? You don't have to have an idea of how to fix something yet: if you post something you like and want to see more of, maybe we can help you think of how to do something ^^

Also, here's a list of things being posed thusfar, with some proposed ideas in parenthesis:
More Diaries (self-example ; possible contest?)
More Stories (possible contest idea ; "Writer of the Week")
Group Runs ("Marathon Map")
More ways to tie the community together
Some sort of group roleplay
The Coalition for the return of Casual, Non-Violent Sparring!

EDIT: I'm specifically re-bumping this because of everyone's current feelings about violence and evil. Want to try and find a way to fix it? You bet you do!

Wicked review: Wicked!

I went to see Wicked with a group of people and let me say i was blown away! I saw it in its west end show form with some big actors playing some of the parts. We saw it at the Apollo theatre and i had never been there either. Firstly i was wowed by the size of it then the display and sets and scenery of the the stage. They had put in all inches of detail and the dragon above was great so that was the first good bit. The songs were also top notch with the live orchestra giving them amazing sound quality as well as the already good song lyrics and tunes. Some people were saying that at the begining it was a little scary but for me just exciting, the lights were just going dim and it was about to start, i for one could not wait for it to begin. I must mension some of the actors and actresses of course, as well, all of them were good but watch out for Glinda, the first song does not give of her full potential (see popular, one of my favourite songs!Eye.) Also Elphaba is exceptionally good but all of the cast were at my full scale of well, everything! I loved the whole thing and could not fault it in my opinion. I wiull want to continue watching them now and am still humming Popular in my head, thank you!

TEF Dreams

I had a really cool TEF dream last night, so I thought maybe I should post it here. Cx

Okay, in my dream I was trying to log into TEF, but the pictos weren't spreading and stuff. I was getting annoyed and about to turn it off when it finally started working. I think I was playing my deer Dracula. He looked somewhat the same, except the mask on his face was a praying mantis face mask. Or something like that, it looked pretty cool anyway. There was a hill that I walked him up onto, and there was another deer, but it wasn't doing anything. It's mask was really cool as well. It reminded me of a vulture's head, or more like a vulture's skull. I then found another deer nearby, and interacted with them a bit. They looked like a normal TEF deer from what I can remember. And the forest...it was really beautiful. It's hard to explain, but it was so pretty and enchanting. It had hills, puddles, different trees, rocks, it was just very nice looking. After that, I ran a little bit until I found the Playground, but it looked slightly different, more realistic I guess. I was now a fawn for some reason, and I met another fawn. I remember telling myself, "That's one of Pega's deer." I'm not sure if it was, but that's what I thought. I walked up to the other fawn, when all of a sudden a big group of children runs by us. Completely oblivious to the human faced deer around them, they just run by. I start pressing the P button on the keyboard like crazy, trying to get pictures of it. xD I ended up chasing the group, but that's when I woke up.

I've had other TEF dreams. There was one where my deer found an old abandoned indian tribe with tipis and everything. I might get into that later. xD

Feel free to post your dreams as well here. Laughing out loud
