Overwhelmed (TEF Shortstory)

*Hypothetical story about Quad and the Deadly Trio (Iugulare, Anirapio, and Nekumbra). Contains graphic content so be warned. I haven't decided if this really happens in my stories or what but either way it follows the artwork request I had where Quad is defeated by the Deadly Trio. Anyway, enjoy*

It wasn't working. Quad couldn't get his powers to activate, and at the worst time, too. The three monsters were after him, and all he could do was run. He had to get them away from the other deer, he couldn't risk them getting hurt.

The deer maneuvered as quickly as he could through the Forest, he knew the place all too well. Just coming up with an idea on how to stop the Deadly Trio was the problem. He didn't have his wings, so he couldn't use his powers of light against them. All he had were his antlers, and even they seemed useless against those three.

He skidded to a halt, listening out for them. Did he lose them? Did he have time to think...?

And at that moment, a blast of webbing struck him. He became tangled in the sticky silk, as a doe seemed to fall from the canopy onto him. "Shh...it'll only hurt for a moment.", Nekumbra whispered to him, and at once bit into his neck.

Quad cried out, but then he felt his body relax on its own. The venom in Nekumbra's fangs was a tranquilizer on adult deer, though it was fatal to fawns. He couldn't move, but his eyes were wide open, and he cringed as the spider deer pressed him up onto her belly, her mouth drooling as she sunk her fangs into his spine. He couldn't save himself as she drew blood, drinking from his veins, draining him.

He felt dizzy as she released him, but he could barely move as the other two approached. "You can have your way with him, Anirapio...", he distinctly heard Iugulare speak, "but leave his soul. That belongs to me."

The dragon stepped toward him, outstretching her wings and grasping Quad's limp body with her talons. She wrapped her wings around him, and the warmth made Quad instinctively rest his head on her chest. "So this is the Quad.", Anirapio spoke with her mind, "This is the one you hate so much, Iugulare? I can dispose of him very easily..."

"No! I told you, he is mine in the end!", Iugulare snapped at the dragon. Nekumbra watched as Anirapio's eyes met Quad's. It all seemed too easy, surely this antelope wasn't the one that had defeated Iugulare before. It didn't matter to Anirapio, she had her own things to worry about, and the faster this Quad was disposed of, the sooner she could begin her own goals on Earth.

Her belly pouch opened and she dropped Quad in. His body was still numb but he felt sharp pains in his legs as they were slowly being digested within the dragon. He tried to cry out, but his voice had given in, and with each moment, his body sank deeper and deeper into Anirapio's digestive pouch.

Finally, he was completely engulfed. Anirapio's belly bulged out as Quad's body was being devoured. The dragon raised her head in sheer pleasure, the nutrients from Quad's body was more than enough to satisfy her hunger.

As moments passed, Iugulare grew impatient. "That's enough!", she spoke, "Give what is left of him to me!"

Anirapio let out a sigh and replied, "No..."

Iugulare snarled at her, "How dare you! Release him at once! He is mine!", she angrily spat.

The dragon looked over to the stoat, and then did something unthinkable...

The bulge in her belly collapsed inward.

Nekumbra stared curiously, "You didn't just...", she began to say, but Anirapio ignored her, wrapping her tail before Iugulare.

And little by little, she released what was left of Quad - bones, a deer mask, and two great antlers.

"Your Quad is no more.", Anirapio said, and turning, she began to walk away.

Iugulare could not believe what had just happened. Quad was dead. She had him, if only Anirapio had given him up. Collapsing, the stoat became hysterical, roaring out in anger at the other two.

"What have you done?!", she shrieked at Anirapio. The dragon didn't answer, and outstretching her wings, she lifted from the ground and flew into the sky.

"There are more important matters at hand than your obsession with Quad.", Anirapio spoke before soaring into the canopy and vanishing into the sky.

Nekumbra's ears perked, she saw a fawn nearby, and without hesitation ran off to pursue her next meal.

This left Iugulare alone with the bones of her foe. She held his skull in her infectious paw. Quad was no longer a threat, but...she wanted him to suffer in her own belly, not Anirapio's. Frustrated, the stoat ran off, leaving the remains of Quad alone in the Forest.

And for a few moments, there was silence. But then, vines from the ground grew rapidly, wrapping around the remains of the antelope. Very quickly, the body was pieced back together, and muscle, flesh, and fur was regrown with forest magic. Within moments, the body of Quad lay on the ground, still but whole once again.

The Twin Gods appeared before the body, and both kissing him on the side, he let in a deep breath. Then the antelope cringed, screaming out in pain and agony.

"He's still suffering. It will take time for his body to stop feeling so much pain.", Auriea said to Michael. Michael let out a sigh, "We didn't reach him in time. He could have defeated them if he had gotten his wings."

The two gods sat down next to the antelope, who was kicking and shivering while still feeling much of what he had experienced just moments before. The Grand Talux was not so easy to kill, as he had died before but came back to life moments later. But he felt pain like any other deer would, tremendous amounts at times.

And even in this moment, while he lived again, Quad's mind repeated again and again that he wished he had never been born to feel such agony.

Quad lives even through that,

Quad lives even through that, yay! <3
Even if he's in pain, I'm glad he survives even his biggest challenge.

Yeah, it's kind of a long

Yeah, it's kind of a long story...

in my Divine series, you find out that Quad is essentially immortal. He dies, but then comes back to life moments later. There is a way to kill him for good, but only the Twin Gods know of it.
