WILL THIS EVER BE UPDATED AGAIN?

Last update Rossamund was still dead ffs.

The first time.

Fuuuuck.

Little self-reminder/MOTIVATION to at least go and try to archive as many RPs as possible before Skype deletes them so I can actually remember what happened when I do get around to it.

STILL LOVE YOU, CRAZYBITCH. I'M SORRY.

least you get a bio tho

Doing everything in her power to keep her presence in the Forest lightly-felt and difficult to trace, but inevitably brought out of her seclusion on a few noteworthy occasions.

Reunited with Castallion when she first caught scent of the buck, glad to see he was in as great as shape as ever (and just as colorful in personality as appearance). Tended as much to Rossamund as she could, finding the boy needed counseling through an admittedly difficult chapter of his time in the forest. Tried to work with him on fighting in his ghost form and encountered a hostile June during one their sessions. Spoke with the Rabbit and attempted to diffuse a little of the ire she understandably felt for both of them, succeeding on a few small points she felt. Vowed to take advantage of what communication had been established to try to follow through on it in the future, and from that could only strongly advise Rossamund on how to handle interactions if he valued having a chance of a relationship with his "sister." (It seemed he had been stalking a few of her friends. No idea where he learned that kind of behavior...)

More than the "physical" however, being relegated to this form had the Myling contending with heavily emotional turmoil. Did her best to offer her support where she could through these dark times, not minding when he came to visit her and Indi although made it clear after an encounter with Rohit that he understood both children were to be protected at all costs. Didn't feel she had to say more than that, and Rossamund appeared uplifted by her mentioning that she considered him like family. Less enthused about received the title of Aunt, but it was neither the place nor time.

Speaking of confusing familial ties, had been making gradual progress in her relationship with Indi's son, still finding it imperative to get him on accepting terms with her before approaching Abhiri. Starting to consider it wise that Rohit learn to spar, as he's a quiet, serious little thing with a lot of pent-up energy, and she frankly thinks he could use the outlet. He'd (unfortunately) seen his first fight not too long ago, despite her and Indi's attempts to keep him out of it knows he saw far more than he should have. Attempted to egg him on a few times on a lazy evening at the Playground, under Indi's approval of course, and probably only succeeded in cementing her Weirdo image. Though was able to deadpan though her joy in causing him some adorable frustration in the process of trying to get him to wrestle.

Ended up laying off him finally, and he'd retreat back to his mother on the boulders glaring at her as if she was the single greatest source of evil on this planet. Joked with Indi a few times about how much he seemed to take after his mother and just kind of gets this look back that made her question if the Sangai also noticed a certain other resemblance the children bore... maybe JM wasn't going crazy after all.

One of the most significant recent occurrences to memory was no doubt Rossamund's safe and eventual return to life, after a long and frustrating journey. Saw to it that he was fed and accompanied for the first few days of his recovery, incidentally using up each of the rabbits she had asked him to kill just days prior, when food hadn't been of interest to him but was to her for a project. Didn't find out how it had happened, not finding the timing right then and also not having seen much of the Myling since that week, though hearing whispers here and there of some of his exploits, for better or for worse.

Caught Rohit and Abhiri out running around one night without Indi's usual constant supervision and got just close enough to keep an eye on them without alerting them to her presence. Indi showed up in no time, so she relaxed and fell into her own thoughts as the family played. Completely caught off guard when the trio came and took Red Hill by storm in a confusing game of Zombies, no doubt initiated by Rohit, and ended up getting involved in it whether she wanted to or not. Somehow had been promoted from "Evil Zombie" to "Zombie Hunter" in the little guy's eyes, which while it sounded like an improvement at the time, Jokerman quickly realized still made her the antagonist in the little game. Though she fought back, was quickly outnumbered, mobbed, and infected to his seeming delight before Abhiri tired out. Rohit still looked at her like she was nuts when she rubbed the trees afterward, in an attempt to get him to play a little more. Would have to try more drastic measures later, but for the time just took it in stride and settled near the group tentatively. Heart all but seized when the smallest of the trio wandered over and ended climbing onto her back and falling asleep there. A whole myriad of fears put to rest by seeming to get Abhiri's stamp of approval and Rohit's growing tolerance. Didn't say anything to Indi at the time but knows it meant as much to her, too.

Her time and visits with Indi had been occupying the majority of her mind in one way or another, either working during the day on small schemes and building contacts with deer relevant to those schemes, visiting the family in the evening or stealing moments alone with Indi during the night. Hadn't been sticking her nose into much else that was arguably not her business, at least not in any obvious way. And while things were definitely much improved from where they started, the last thing she wanted was to any way encroach on the Topaz's time with her recently reunited family, or to be perceived by an intruding force by either of them. Found Indi by the flower patch near the river alone tonight and gladly took the opportunity to spend some time with the mother.

It wasn't too long before they were being watched. Waited to see if the other (Indigo) would approach on his own, but aware that her own companion was a little less comfortable with the bird's approach (Player assumes Indi felt tacky being caught wearing the same name so embarrassing) and went to deal with it head-on, as was the Sangai's way. Watched this as well though eventually interfered just to make it clear to the newcomer they weren't going to be chasing him, giving him the chance to come closer if he wanted. Could remember every one of her run-ins with Morioch since returning to the Forest and they were intentionally few and far between, but had seen enough of his small bird companion to make a few conclusions about his presence. Knew it was likely that nothing more than simple curiosity that had spurred the visit, though there was a few other possibilities too.

With this thought, plopped herself on the ground, intending to see how the rest would play out. Laid her head on her forelegs and watched with half-lidded interest as she waited for him to either come closer or Morioch to show up, standing enthusiastically when the older male came by. Took the opportunity to observe his behavior and appearance, nothing more than a sniff to his small companion which caused a small stir of amusement in the Kudu as he took off again. Watched the littler one leave, regretting that she hadn't been able to exchange greetings but time enough for that later. Maybe. Whatever it was, it was still better than Xetkal, and she resumed her earlier stance that there was no need for her to get involved.

Aware as they settled back down that Indi was still tense. Assumed her own omniscient Jokerman way what it was about without even asking, leaned close and quietly launched into the best reassurances and promises she could give her friend. Was cut off with Indi's words of knowing, and complete trust in her, and that was enough. In a moment of intimacy responded with the only thing better than that that she could think of which brought the doe pressing closer, things instantly seeming a lot simpler and a lot more complicated in that action. Shut out the world and lingered in each other's companies for as long as possible before Indi had to return to the kids.

Left as well, figuring the twilight hours would be the best time to do this. Despite Rossamund having promised to replenish the rabbit supply, had taken it upon herself to kill, cure, and preserve a variety of small vermin carcasses over the weeks following his return. Gathered them now and went off to the Birch to speak to a contact she'd made there, wanting to pursue a little whim.

It's good to see you both.
...We'll have to do something about that maternally-instilled sense of virtue.

Keeping close at Indi's family's heels should the need for aid ever surface; apart from that, busying herself with other things.

Many visits from Rossamund, to her relief. The Myling was doing a good job of checking in and putting her mind at ease. Watching his appearance shift from avian to vulpine to, at times, something like his original form. Which is at once heart-rendingly gratifying and more than a little bit amusing when he couldn't seem to perfect the hue.

Helped him work on his coloration this afternoon, the process being long and consisting of much trial and error and doubtless lots of effort from the Ghost. Eventually he got it right and their efforts were rewarded. Definitely didn't fall into the pond at any point. Settled into a mood for a moment and took note of the little Ghost sneaking off. Equally curious of where he was going as she was what he would do off on his own, and opted to explore the latter today. Feigned slumber and waited. The thought process being "He can't get hurt... right?"

Wrong. The Myling came back a short while later and settled back next to her. Could sense something was off and kept her mouth shut, just eyed him thoughtfully. At last he started spilling. Questioned him on it a little bit about his participation in a fight, as much interested in his ability to be hurt as the source of his injury. It seemed to be another hallmark of him gaining aptitude in this form.

Joined by Ciel and Neela as well, greeted the pair somewhat briskly as Neela was being adorable and shy and what was Jo supposed to do with that?
Felt bad; she really needed to work on how she approach fawns, little girls in particular, but that thought was intermingled with the one that most kids start crying when she looks at them, and more lately have thought that she was going to eat their brains. Didn't want to do that to Ciel's family, and entertained other ideas, all of which consisted of staying seated for now.

Resumed talking with Rossamund, though noted his change in behavior with the pair's arrival. Found out about... something. Unsure. Ushered him a bit closer to Neela, perplexed at both their behaviors when she found out they were supposed to be friends. Also barked out some orders for any future 'incidents' with protecting others. Trying to work with him as it was evident the buck's code of honor was a part of him, and there was no use trying to pretend it couldn't get him hurt anymore.

...He has my ears.

Since disappearing five months ago, things have changed in ways even she hadn't expected. A contractual visit to the Soul Dealer Osias's hell resulting in her eventual breakthrough after being able to make contact with Eraline's ghost, in a deeply personal visit that she has kept to herself, but remains markedly changed by. Emerged with a renewed sense of obligation and the first hints of inner peace in years. Surprised herself more than anyone else by asking Indi if she could come along with her on her quest to find her children, instead of returning to the Forest as originally intended.

Visited the Sangai's homeworld in projected vessels and succeeded in establishing her children's souls' connections with the Forest. Concluded the long and arduous 'adventure' and returned to the Forest approximately a month ago, where they immediately set about trying to find the youths, both unsure and nervous that it hadn't worked out after all, or knowing if they would be able to recognize either fawn. Eventually mother and children were happily reunited, though it was clear it would take time and effort for things to settle down. Understanding of this, backed off immediately so as not to make the transition any rougher, even though falling back into old habits of withdrawing was the last thing she wanted right now.

Has busied herself with relearning the Forest. The first order of business being to touch bases with Henna. Accepted her sister's scolding for her lengthy absence (with no way of contacting) and insisted on learning of recent news. All worse fears seemingly came to light. Heartbroken to hear of Rossamund's passing, all the anger she felt directed purely at herself and even saddened that she had put Henna in this place. Made a sort of peace with it a few weeks later, however. Found a way to keep in touch with the boy's spirit and has not given up on finding a proper conclusion to these events. Treasures his attempts to make contact with her and does everything she can to increase the frequency of his visits.

A few other small visits here and there with others. Sat with Ciel at one point and was grateful as ever for his presence in her life, however little their paths may cross. But for the most part, drifted through the Forest like a ghost. Embracing the solitude and spending much time seemingly wrapped up in her thoughts near the riverbed, hardly moving to acknowledge the glances from certain passers-by; wisened up to a few less-friendly individuals in this way, though hasn't acted on it yet. Uncertain if she will. Also been crashing at the Topaz's home when she wasn't there, for a change of scenery. Sentimental like that. Found by Israel one afternoon in her favorite spot, and filled in on his recent travels. Unsure of how to receive the buck now that he's older, and treading carefully but firmly. Intends to learn more about him in light of Indi's relationship with her adopted son.

Rarely sees the Sangai after helping her to reunite with Rohit and Abhiri. Missing Indi like crazy after the events of the past months, which was expected and only natural. Using the time wisely, making preparations. Beginning to take small steps towards encountering the trio and familiarizing them with her presence, particularly Rohit, who already has a negative impression of her. Reassured by Indi that the boy has always been the cautious type. More endeared than anything with being able to see so much of his mother in the fawn. Happy to have them all here, and Indi so obviously happy.

Thoughts and perceptions challenged, even more than she thought they would be, by the two perplexing, spirited little creatures now in both their lives. Trying to do her best to give the newly-reunited family time to adjust, but acutely aware of certain aspects that are incredibly familiar. Keeping these thoughts to herself for the time being as she really isn't sure what it all means, though muses on it a lot in her spare time. Already charmed by and devoted to the fawns in mind, it seems.

Additional Notes

In excellent health. Elated, focused.

Appearance

A traveling spirit; has accrued many different traits—marks—throughout different lifespans which manifest in different ways depending on the realm she is in. In the Forest she takes the form of a rather plain Greater Kudu from a previous life, though with enough time spent, her appearance has begun to warp.

More personal and spiritually-bound elements have revealed themselves. Rich brown fur has deepened to mahogany, and is ticked with shades of bright ruby. Even the helm with which she'd once identified so deeply, a male Kudu skull, had been stolen and a new one replaces it now which is completely her own; forged out of a mysterious, non-organic material and sculpted to depict an almost mocking caricature of her nature.

Set one - Idol Pelt, Skull Mask, Key AntlersIndicates her helm, which is usually worn.
Her physical state is a direct reflection of her mental state, and though it can be manipulated somewhat for her own advantage, generally a rich red overtone and healthy amount of weight reflects ambition and physical preparedness, for better or for worse. There is no desire to be disguised or blend into her surroundings at these times and greater visibility is often the intended result. A beacon of confidence that welcomes friend or foe to find her.

Set two - Fan Pelt, Real Deer Mask, Noh Antlers When unmasked. Very rare; it takes a strong impact in her life to get her to shed her helm.
Her fur can vary from a lush, deep red, to a coarse ashen brown in periods of emotional decline. The waning desire to eat, drink, or tend to her physical being is indicative of taut emotions and negligent self-worth. It is not uncommon for her spine and hip bones to become pronounced in times of severe undernourishment. Despite the physical and emotional depletion, her mental faculties are commonly heightened in these moments, and may be the reason she allows herself to fall into such a sorry state. It is the next best thing for a Deer who strives to be invisible. Unpretentious and easily passed by but often incredibly keen to her surroundings.

Solid, sleek musculature, she has no great bulk and probably borders on the slender side. Neither does she have any appealing curves or plush fur; only a slight shagginess around her throat and a slightly out-of-control mane. Tall and gaunt even at her best.

She is unhorned, with a broad, angular face, and dark amber eyes. She generally has a somber demeanor that can range from incredible severity to an almost coltish humor, and can be difficult to decipher under a stone mask. Lithe in movement with a careful, efficient briskness. Movements are measured and appear carefully calculated, with hints of underlying tension.

Features

Ritual Helm Whether its use as a ceremonial object was meant in its own right, has become a tool to her own personal ritual in the form of hunts. Affords great measure of power, protection, and anonymity. Allows a disconnect from reality and identity that is to her day-to-day function as crucial as the great power it wields.
It boasts a somber, almost patronizing expression of sympathy and pity. Traded by the Craftsman.
Twin God Charm One of a pair of charms, once worn by Eraline. Forged into the crown of her new helm. Passed on by Ciel.
War Paint A tribute to a daughter from one mother to the other, usually covered by her mask. From Henna.
Soul Dealer's Scar Strange marking in the shape of a human hand, around her throat and neck region. Acquired upon entering Osias's world.
Bug Bite On her left shoulder, not visible from a distance. Courtesy of Allu.

Combat

Whatever her state of health, Jokerman almost always has great reserves of energy and stamina. Though strong for her stature, where brute force is concerned she can be outmatched by many of the Forests' residents. High dexterity levels compensate somewhat for this.

She is a tactical fighter and relies heavily on strategy and mind games, and is better than average at spotting the same in others. It is common for her to avoid fighting or at least greatly be able to diffuse it through countering her would-be opponents' actions. She is very controlled in movement and consideration, and it is rare for her to engage in combat unwillingly.

Though sparring is one of the few activities she enjoys, she is not one to get into meaningless fights. Jokerman is outcome-oriented and has very little pride to be manipulated. Safety is her driving ambition so she'll often occupy herself with evacuating innocents from the area or distracting the offender. She is not concerned about fair play or honor, and will gladly team up with other deer to take down someone she considers a true threat, though she is highly concerned with collateral damage.

She accepts great responsibility for her actions and would sacrifice her own well-being for an innocent without hesitation. A well-known weakness.

"The only thing I've been is

"The only thing I've been is careful." This isn't all true, the poor condition of her body all but shouts it, but really, as far as violence in the forest go JM hasn't lifted a hoof towards another in a very long time. She just has a habit of getting in the way of trouble. She truly doesn't think anyone considers her a threat, however. "You're right, and a dangerous fool, but as of right now he doesn't seem to be a problem. Not for me, anyway."

And the Kudu is gratified, to hear the Snake's offer of help, although somewhere in the back of her mind she knows that the only proper revenge for herself would be an end to Thane as permanent as the one he'd coaxed Eraline into. She knows the Craftsman may come back, he did this time, but maybe the break would be enough time for some wrongs to be righted. "Just help yourself," she sighs a moment later, shaking her head, unwilling to complete the sequence. "What he did to Amelia kills me." A little too guilty of a look scans the grass before her, and for a moment she's grateful Levi cannot see her. "But her situation can still be helped. And I will help you however I can, if you need it. Or, I'll gladly stay out of your way."

To the doe known as Jokerman, there is very little more valuable than information. It didn't even occur to her that the war-torn mother wouldn't want to know more about the situation at hand. She'd spare her details where she could, of course, spare the possible nightmares that still plagued Jo and denied her many a night of sleep, surely Lev had had issues enough in that department. Stepping forward a couple paces, JM lifts her nose in the air, her own sense not as strong as Leviathann's, surely, but she can still catch Jetta's scent somewhere not far away. "Xetkal's back in the forest now, you know. He's hiding, but not in the way you'd think. That brown doe you keep seeing around Morioch and the fawns? The body belongs to Syahi, his old mate, but I was there the night she gave birth to her twins. It's Xetkal. And if you send him back to Hell, maybe more than one mother can be reunited with her children."
Clare's picture

The serpent makes a motion

The serpent makes a motion that alludes to the fact she just 'rolled her eyes' or something similar. She can smell that Jokerman is not in perfect condition, therefore is not being careful. "I also meant take care of yourself."

When Leviathann gets the go-ahead from Jokerman, she seems to brighten considerably. However, at the mention of Amelia, the serpent freezes and turns her sightless gaze on the kudu. Something about what the kudu just said didn't sound.. quite right. However, she disregards it. JM had always been a funny one. "He'll pay for what he's done. Thane will not get away with.. whatever the hell he did to my daughter." The serpent speaks slowly, carefully. "And I would appreciate any help you're willing to offer. I'm not proud enough to turn down an ally.. especially when I'll be needing all the help I can get."

As Jokerman makes to sniff her, Leviathann lowers her head, allowing the kudu better access. She waits for a moment, letting the other sort through the assortment of scents scattered across her pelt. When JM pulls away, the words she says rock the serpent to the core. At first the snake just.. stands there, jaws partially open as she gapes at her ally. Lune.. Syahi? That was who the familiar doe was? Levi groans inwardly, cursing her own stupidity. "You've got to be kidding me.." She groans, ears flattening against her neck before she looks to JM for some some assurance this was just a joke, a horrid nightmare. When she hears no laughter, sees no shift whatsoever, she drops her head, letting her breath fan out across the forest floor. "Are you saying I should kill Syahi?"

Her head lowers in

Her head lowers in understanding when Lev avows Thane's punishment; spelling out the threat slowly and deliberately, Jokerman believes her. She nods silently when her offer of aid is accepted, pleasantly surprised. Levi has been a distant friend for a long while, to her but more importantly to Henna. Although she would help a stranger in this situation, there is another piece of information she feels the serpent mother has a right to know, whatever little comfort it may serve to Leviathann.

"He didn't touch Amelia. Please don't ask me how, but, I think I know what he did... and he is responsible for everything she and your family is going through right now, and should burn accordingly for it, but for what it's worth, if anything at all... it wasn't... like that." She trails off, taking a risk here, her body stiffens and she hopes Levi won't demand anything beyond this, but she would tell her if she asked. This was a very unusual pregnancy, and although Jo wouldn't repeat it to one of the fawn's grandmother, Thane had used the word 'parasite' to describe them. But to say any more would be to start treading just on the other side of what was considered not only unbelievable but intolerable, and she could already catch hints of uncertainty in Levi's voice as it was.

"I'm saying feel free to kill Xetkal, who's stolen Syahi's body, yes. Wherever his soul usually goes, he always comes back, cockroach that he is. Syahi is perhaps there now, or so I hope. I don't know how this happened in the first place, but it's the best guess I've got." She tilts her head somewhat nonchalantly, for a moment, her own rendition of a shrug. She couldn't see that Syahi had just died, with no warning, the second Thane had taken over her body. She had to be somewhere, and Jo had a better idea than most of where. "I'd be honored to help however I can. I swear Lev, things will be right for your family again some day."
Clare's picture

"So your saying it was

"So your saying it was willing? Jo, I don't think I understand, Amelia would never.." The puzzled serpent replies, head cocking to one side. "He didn't touch her.." She considers probing the other female for answers, but decides against it. A heavy sigh is given before she shakes her head. "If you are absolutely sure he didn't lay a hoof on her, then I believe you."

When Jokerman speaks again, confirming Leviathann can kill Thane, who is currently in Syahi's body, the does ears pin again. How the hell did they 'exorcize' Thane from Syahi? That was the big question. But then.. something hits the serpent like a freight train. "You know.. 'Thane' was acting unusual this morning. Do you think his hold on Syahi's body could be slipping?" There is a small glimmer of hope that echoes in her voice. However, it fades shortly after, and if she could have frowned, the skulled doe certainly would have. "If he returns to his old form, he's going to be harder to get rid of. Was a bitch to 'send him away' last time."

Jokerman swears that things will be 'right' for serpentine family again, but Leviathann has serious issues believing that. "I'm not sure things were ever 'right' for us to begin with." She says honestly. "But its a nice sentiment, thank you. I hope you can find some closure with this, and that you can move on.. someday."

"I know... whatever he did,

"I know... whatever he did, it was probably subtle enough that it didn't raise any alarms for Amelia." Jokerman frowns to herself; she's not sure if this really comforts Levi any, but manages a weak smile a moment later. "And I am positive, after the job you did on him, he won't try anything like that again." She assures her. She just wished the forest could have gotten a longer break from the Craftsman. Maybe this time, though.

Her head tilts attentively as she listens to the other hind's observations. "That would explain why he's been such a lamb lately," she can't help snorting. It's been a good while since Thane has caused any commotion, on top of which she'd been expecting him to get on her case for not completing her end of the deal yet. Her ears droop a little when Lev mentions what will happen when he returns to the forest in his proper body. Jo takes a deep breath in at the truth, and then nods knowingly.

"Yes, but this time you'll be ready," she says. More deer hate Thane than ever before, she feels good about this now, and if nothing else maybe the families will have some time to get properly established with all new members. "We all will. Maybe this is just what your family needs to heal." The Kudu's eyes close deferentially and she bows her head slightly, knowing it's none of her business. "Thank you as well. And good luck." With everything.

Noting that she has caught Rossamund's eye, JM opts for nodding her head instead of replying verbally. Ahh, thank you! Means a lot, the words and gift. Cool ass art. :) Reed's a lot of fun, some day I'll get to know him on a less aggressive char.

c: I met you while I was on Nadezdha. I think; unless you've moved; we're still sitting on a rock. I do love those red pelts and skully faces. c: <3 -Tracks-

♥ That's me! I keep

♥ That's me! I keep seeing you around and try to interact with you on a lot of my deer since your girl has such a pretty set. >> Heheh. And rofl I love that combo too, although I kept thinking to myself how much of a typical skull deer my char is, being all grumpy and antisocial. Glad to have a chance to sit with you, regardless!

;A; How many other deer? I

;A; How many other deer? I feel like a jerk now if you've been trying and I've not noticed. Though, I do tend to tab out sometimes to finish up my artwork; the sounds of the forest help me concentrate. I wish I had like... secret handshake type movements with people, so they could tell me in game that they know me, on any of their deer.... It would be so immensely helpful. ;A; I'm still getting used to the actions part of the game, so I don't always know what other deer are saying/want me to do. And I tend to be all antisocial and keep Nadz up at the Ruins on her pedestal... And Fare at the tree wedged in a corner. ;A;.
... -slowly crawls over to sit next to on the rock- Laa dee daa. -whistles innocently.- <3

SO MANY DEER!! haha no don't

SO MANY DEER!! haha no don't worry about it, I'm notorious for AFKing myself; all these years playing and I still forget and leave the forest running while I'm asleep sometimes... I sat with you a little while a couple hours ago (your deer fell asleep so I don't think you saw) and I think have exchanged bows with your nightfall/peacock deer a few times, all at the pond... not sure I even remember which deer I was on at the time, so don't you even worry about it. :) My chars tend to be really boring antisocial lately, so I'm impressed you even noticed this character. xD I know they all got good impressions of your deer, too.
Heheheh. *Accepts* ♥ Welcome to TEF, by the way!!

I've been part of TEF for

I've been part of TEF for around a year. The account I'm currently logged in on in-game is my oldest. But I had no idea there was a community, or how to properly play the game, so I quit a month after starting it. Then I made an awesome friend on another game, and made Farelia, whom I role played with my friend and her deer. c: Then I made Fare's account, and I started getting into all this. So far everyone has been the bees knees and I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. ;A;
I try to be as polite to everyone as I can. v-v Unless it's one of the stags trying to make moves. Then I just squeak nervously, act scared, and flee. >.> I'm so awkward, I know. Nadezdha's bio is up in my blog too. c: With this game has also come my delving into drawing deer. xD <3

It's nice to meet such sweet people. Thanks for welcoming me here, I think I'll be lingering about for a while. c: <3

AW! That explains then why I

AW! That explains then why I felt like I was dealing with an oldie. And LOL yeah I'm still not *completely* clear myself why there's a separate TEF forum AND community... but that's really sweet how your friend got you over on here.
YOU ARE VERY POLITE. And LOL in that situation... I think a lot of my deer would act the same way. xD I'm glad TEF gave you a reason to get in to drawing deer, I really enjoy your work. Can't wait to see more of it.
Please do stay a while! It's been a joy having you around (and this is a hard game to completely leave...)

I try to be as polite as I

I try to be as polite as I can. xD
I personally like the Community layout better than the Forum... I just need to learn CSS and I'll be all set. cB
My friend Chain Art, if you know who that is, is one of my besties. c: She and I role play a lot, and she is the one who named Farelia, and helped me name Nadezdha. I love her to bitsies and piecies. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have come back to the game like this. I'd just be one of those awkward deer hiding in crevices away from...other... deer... Oh wait I am. LOL. And I'll keep drawing deer. I'm updating Namenloss' reference sheet as we speak, hence why Nadezdha keeps nodding off in-game. x')
I try to be polite, both IRL and in games. However, I do have a few characters who classify as 'jerks', such as Namenloss, and once I am IC, I pull out all the stops. xD I'll still be all apologetic OOC, and silently squirming in hopes people get that in-character mode is completely different from out of character mode... v0v

Me too. x_x I could never get

Me too. x_x I could never get very into the forum, and on the community it feels like there's a lot of room to breathe. Don't hesitate to ask if you ever need CSS help! I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Bah, you know, I'm afraid I took my own break from TEF last year or so and as a result I've been completely out of the loop as to most people here. :( I'm trying to get better, though. I've definitely seen ChainArt around and have always thought she seemed really cool, one of the people I feel good vibes from. Will have to use this reminder to get you know you both better when given the chance. 8D
I'm glad you also have jerk characters, hahaha, I definitely have one or five myself... I think that's the right way to approach it, too. I tend to be paranoid also and try to pay attention to how people have their characters react to mine to ensure they aren't bothered. More often than not I hope people know my characters are acting so ridiculous I can't be *serious.* Haha. It's definitely a good habit to approach them OOCly sometimes and make sure they're all right with everything that happened. Something I need to get back in the habit of myself..
I'm going to bed now and I think this will be one of the nights where I *do* remember close the Forest before heading in. Thank you so much for the company and chatter! ♥

Everyone needs a break from

Everyone needs a break from things at one point or another, otherwise we'd grow bored or insane with it. c: And sorry for the late response. >.< I was going to slip in a wee rp post here, if that's alright with you an' Jokerman. c:

LOL hey it's OK, as you said,

LOL hey it's OK, as you said, people need breaks. :) And please do! I'd be honored.

The nightpelted little doe

The nightpelted little doe meandered about the playground aimlessly, trying to get comfortable. However, her little hooves carried her away from it, to explore the vastness of this wood once again. With bright eyes and perked ears, she strolled along, walking like the regal little thing she was. Little birds flittered around her, some of the lighter ones coming to rest on one of the many more stiff feathers in her head plume. Others rested on her hips, chirping merrily as she strode on.

This place was so big, with so many rare and exotic looking deer like she'd never encountered before, like herself. Things here seemed at ease, like everything should be this way; everything from the mini-deer frolicking around with fawns to the random giant tulips sprouting from the ground. Nadezdha stopped to inspect one, sniffing at it slightly before sneezing and dislodging her little bird friends. Without waiting for the winged creatures to settle on her once more, the dark blue doe shook her head at the giant plant and went on her way, walking under the dappled forest light.

Not far from the giant tulips

Not far from the giant tulips from which the nightfall doe was walking was another figure, tall, gaunt, and helmed. As far as some deer went, there was nothing particularly exotic or rare or even noteworthy about this inhabitant except maybe the fact that she was bleeding profusely from several flesh wounds, and even this is difficult to discern given the natural mahogany tinge to her fur. Her gaze lifts up momentarily to take in a nearby doe strolling onto the scene, but the show of interest is swiftly swept away, too, lest she accidentally make eye contact. Oh, just a girl. And she returns to the task of casually bathing in the Crying Idol's tears. These days deer didn't really catch Jokerman's interest unless they were attacking someone or being attacked, and she focuses on washing out blood and caked on mud and what-else from her coat, hurriedly retreating another step further into the spray of water.

In such a small move the two females' opinions of the day can be contrasted, for where one enjoys the antics of fawns and giant flowers and literally has a flock of songbirds fluttering overhead, the other is standing calmly under the Idol's Tears simply hoping the former doesn't notice or comment on the rusty tint of the water flowing off her shoulders. Absentmindedly she'd think of all the things she knew about this individual; that she had been pleasant company in the past, seemed like a kind, vibrant doe... but casual acquaintances were to be left to be just that. Maybe she'd seek the other out on a more casual day.

I love your CSS. ;A; }}
The sweet, irony scent Nadezdha knew all too well sifted up into her nares. Oh. Blood. Someone was injured. The starred doe swiveled her long neck slowly, glassing the area for any that may be laying in the grass in need of assistance. Instead of an attacked fawn, she saw a pelt she'd only come to recognize recently. Her furred brows furrowed slightly as she tried to pull a name from her memory, but there was none to be found. Well, maybe that was because she'd never met this particular doe properly. No names were exchanged, only the satisfaction and comfort of ever-silent company as they shared a rock and gazed out at the forest not too long ago.

She was no healer, but she knew a few good tricks to keep bleeding out from getting the best of someone. Her light short coat disappeared into the shadows for just a few moments, and she returned with two thick thorny plants held uncomfortably in her comparingly soft and small mouth. She approached whom she saw wounded standing under the Idol's tears, and lightly tapped her golden hoof against a stone, trying to gain the attention of this doe she'd bet previously. Her eyes held nothing, which was odd considering the supply of healing plant she held in her jaws. But her eyes were always void. Or, almost always. Her last life had taught her better than that. Still, she wanted to help, if she was allowed. If not, she would simply leave the Aloe leaves with the other and be off... maybe check on her in a few days despite any protests she may receive.

(Bahh, thank you. :C For some

(Bahh, thank you. :C For some reason JM's css came together a lot faster than my bios usually do.)

For the couple of moments when Jokerman could feel the other's eyes on her she stands in place, heavy with the very prospect of undertaking a civil interaction right now. However, much to her satisfaction, the encounter soon seems to have been avoided or at least put off for another day when the small female slipped off into the dark woods. With that worry lifted, she allows her posture to slacken somewhat and finishes up her soak in the Tears, shaking her pelt out a moment later as she climbs up onto the riverbed.

Much cleaner now, her wounds still insist on bleeding futilely in protest to the constant moving around and reopening, and Jokerman is entertaining the thought of just cutting her losses and finding a nice dry sunspot make her own when the encroaching scent of the other diverts her focus. Though all too aware of the Nightfall's presence she keeps her nose and ears forward-facing and neutral until she makes it clear she seeks Jokerman's attention; she slowly turns her head back to look directly in the other doe's eyes. Her gaze lingers before falling from the seeming apathy of her expressions, to the thorny plants clutched uncomfortably in her jaws, and then back up again. Curious, now.

Somehow, without moving her

Somehow, without moving her mouth, the little doe spoke. It was her normal way of speaking, although it was made more apparent now that her mouth was occupied. " The juices in these leaves will help sooth and heal the wounds." It was all she said before she gently placed one leaf on the ground. The other, still clenched in her jaw, was pressed to where blood seemed to be coming from on the other female. No pain lit up from the wound, no stinging, either. Just cool relief. Nadezdha did this quickly, and a couple times, working before the other could protest. She did not know why she felt compelled to do this, but then here she was, doing it. She would probably leave the female after, and give her the space back she seemed to be trying to keep before Nadezdha invaded with the juice laden leaves.

Ivi - OMG IT'S INDI RUN A

Ivi - OMG IT'S INDI RUN

A slight incline of the Kudu's head indicated vague interest especially given the peculiar way in which the doe speaks to her, watching her motions closely as one aloe leaf was placed on the ground, ears twitching rapidly as she seems to realize what is being proposed. Sure enough, a rather arrogant retort to the effect of 'why don't you demonstrate on your own body first, I don't take plants from strangers' forms in her mind but before she can voice her objection the female swiftly and firmly presses the leaf against one of her worst wounds. She instantly tenses and rues her own inattentiveness, but seems to submit to her fate of dying slowly by possible toxins entering the bloodstream, especially given that it doesn't feel half bad. Jokerman hisses argumentatively between clenched teeth despite the soothing sensation and instead asks, "Where did you get them?" It may come in use to know, assuming she didn't later die by some delayed-acting poison in the seemingly innocuous plant.
