The Ghost looked at her brother's eyes. « You're stubborn. Why have you joined ? I... I'm dangerous. I just wanted a revenge. » She sighed and managed to clean her brother's wounds. « You should keep a certain distance from myself. » The souls inside her head were teasing her. She rubbed her head against the floor, annoyed, then looked back at Beren.
I'm stubborn. Just like you said." He gives her a brief grin. "I can't let my sis' have all the fun alone." Despite being nearly unconscious, the wolf tried to laugh, but soon he began coughing and blood splatterd from his mouth. His body twitched at every touch, it was painful, but the wolf was thankful no less. "I would lay my head down for you, you know that." His voice was merely a whisper as he layed his head down on the ground.
Nat' was touched by his words. « Beren... Something changed... » She knew it wasn't the right moment to speak about it. She layed her head down too. The souls were still speaking. « I've been in the forest for one year. I had a pact with the souls. I had one year of peace. If I hadn't taken the fawn's soul, all would be fixed now... » As she saw her brother coughing blood, she came closer. « Beren... » she whispered.
"So what's gonna happen now?" Despite only being a whisper, his voice revealed concern quite well. "I'm fine." He lifts his head briefly and nudges Nat-Nat's shoulder with his nose.
Chills ran through her spine. « They'll drive me insane. I'll... I certainly won't be the same. I'll act agressive. I... They will try to put my soul away from my body, certainly. And I'll be a monster. Again. That's why you should keep your distance. You and everyone else... »
"But you'll still be my sister." Souls or not, he was not about to leave his sisters side. The wolf lifts his achy body up slightly and crawl closer to his sister and hugs her with his front paws. "There has to be a way to silence them or something, right?"There has to be away.
Beren's ears perk up and a frown appears on his features. "You won't." His voice is louder now, slightly like a growl. "There has to be something else you could do." The wolf suddenly feels helpless, he des not know what to do or how to help Nat-Nat. He sighs. "You can speak to them, right? What do they want?" Perhaps understanding them would help him think.
« They... They want a revenge. About the souls I've taken. About them. » The Ghost didn't know what to do to stop them. For her, there was no way to stop this nightmare. She liked Beren's tries to help her, but she knew it was lost.
New sigh. « I'll be distant from everyone. » The decision was pretty hard to admit for her, and she knew it was the same for her friends and her family. But she knew that time would help, and then they all would be used to her absence. Though, she didn't know what to do else.
"Seems like you are just as talented as me. Getting hurt." The doe eyed his wounds as she guarded him. Soon she'd be comfortable enough to sit down and take a closer look at his wounds but for now she was determined to stay where she was. "What happened?"
"Yeah." He whispers and takes a deep sigh while resting his head on the ground. "I saw my sister observing a doe she hates enough to tear her apart.. And I thought I should interrupt just in case she got any ideas, but it was not how I thought. It all began when that bitch lowered her brainless head at us." The wolf pauses to take a deep breath and continues speaking: "Being the pathetic slut that she was, she ran for backup and I got beaten up."
This time it all was turned upside down. He was the one who had gotten his ass handed to him and she was the one boiling inside. Her ears pinned to her head and a frown paying a visit upon her features she stared nowhere. "Who the is this doe?" All she could say she snarled behind her teeth. This is not a new side of her, it's just a well hidden one. Rarely needed to be visible.
"Some pathetic, worthless scum, not even worth the time we payed her." A growl escapes as he lets out his breath, frown appearing on his features. "Farrah, if you wanna know the name. Don't expect much from her, though. I sure got disappointed."
"Tell me who did this to you, I will rip their throat out.!" the usually calm doe said and began to stomp on the ground. "What worthless being dared to hurt my wolf ?" Djinn hissed but settled down next to Beren and began to care for his wounds.
/urgh hope you don't mind to talk about the same topic again. :c
