It was such an odd feeling, a feeling of great familiarity ,yet complete desolate isolation as well. When she had first stepped from the dark depths of the underworld portal that had appeared between two saplings near the old oak, where she and her parents had frequented often-the does heart fluttered. The short bust of nostalgic excitement was short lived as the young doe took in her surroundings...What nostalgia? She had very fleeting and fading fond memories of her birthplace. This was THE forest. The forest she had longed for, the forest she had convinced herself she would be making a better life in. The portal closed behind her with a loud whoosh! She jumped, startled. That dark tunnel had been the bane of her existence for months! Sure she knew HOW to travel between worlds now, but she wasn't skilled enough to actually teleport effectively. It still involved some travel. It actually was very-very ineffective.. It was not something she wanted to attempt again any time soon... At least not until she was more skilled. "I hope I will like it here." She let out a heavy sigh. "Looks like I have no choice anyway?" She cast another distressed glance over her shoulder where the portal had closed behind her, leaving only endless views of trees, sky, and grass. She settled herself down between the two saplings, and curled her large tail around her body like a blanket. She was exhausted.
