Slight gore warning
The scent of decaying flesh filled the still air of the cemetery.
Whenever anyone dares creep to close to the cage within the church, the black pelted creature would emit a sharp growl as cat-like amethyst eyes stare them down. Hairs bristling on end as blood slowly dripped form his mouth. Teeth bared, ready to kill.
Bodies of sickly fawns and old deer long deceased had been dug up from there eternal slumber for food. Their bones scattered about the area, left for the crows to pick up.
Every breath from the homunculus was labored and had a wet sound to it. Once in a while a speck of blood would grace his lips, quickly lapped up in a flash as for nobody to see. Although it is quite plain that something was wrong.

Eventually I will just fade away with time, like dust in the wind long past it’s due...

Body grew gaunt and eyes grew dim evermore.
All about him fawns were playing about with their friends, cheerful laughter echoed through the forest. This only made Envy's attitude morose, but it was only to be expected.
His body shifted its weight in the sand; somehow he had managed to leave the ruins for the constant death in the air was depressing. Lightly, continuously, the crystal blue water lapped at Envy's chest, his hair floating on its surface moving with the waves.
As he watched the dragonflies dance about on the lilly pads of the pond, dull amethyst eyes closed slowly as his body shifted into nothing. Like smoke from a fire, or mist on the water. Not even leaving an imprint in the ground from which he lay...

Envy awoke within a pitch black room, the only light radiating off of fireflies, calmly bobbing up and down in the same spot as if held by a string. Legs shook as Envy lifted his body from the ground, trying to balance. Stumbling forward towards one of the small specks, nose outstretched, inspecting the light closely. Carefully, he bumped it with the tip of his nose, watching as the light flickered and went out.
A loud crashing sound rung in the air around him.
Eyes widened in panic as the ground beneath him shook violently, his legs trapped by a strange black fluid.

Thousands of eyes opened around him, floating in the black backdrop as well as all along the floor, staring, unblinking, with their deep purple eyes.
Screams ripped themselves from Envy's lips as pain shot through his body. Legs gave in, collapsing into the black tar that trapped him in place. Body curled in on itself trying to make the pain go away. Eyes dulled as the shock waves continued to hit him.
Again and again he screamed in pain, knowing that nobody would save him. The strong and fearless homunculus was doomed.

Eventually Envy's body stopped shaking, the pain becoming a dull numbing sensation in his unregistering mind.

When eyes oppened again the sounds of the forest hit him, his aching body causing him to whimper as he tried to move.
The bright colors of the world hurt his eyes as the loud noises burned in his ears.
Deep purple eyes watched the bright red flowers around him sway to the soft wind as footsteps approached, his body unable to react to defend himself.

Tired body toiled onward, body numb from the pain that still resided in his body. Shaky legs limped onward as his haters followed, laughing at his pain.
'Whats wrong, can you not fight homunculus? Are you so pathetic that you won't even defend yourself? truly PATHETIC.'
The sounds echoed in his muddled mind as Envy tried so hard as to not fall to the ground, legs sreaming to give out.
But he could not give up.
