Little Red Letter

reoplusone's picture
A short, sweet poem I wrote. (Though some very sensitive people may think it's sad.) You know, try to read it twice. It took me that long to realize it isn't total crap.

Can you hear my voice?
Can you even hear this song?
If I begged you, if I cried,
Would you dare to sing along?

A dancing treasure stands before me
A smile across her face
Do I dare greet her, do I dare laugh?
I care not for her, for this place.

But something about her allures me
I know I shouldn't say
Like a ribbon, she dances and steps
And twirls woven light into the day

So though I may lose her
And my forest may now be gray
A small red letter will stay in my pocket
And on it, white words will say
I never forgot you, not for a moment
I miss your sweet romance
Don't forget about this little red letter
You know, your smile still makes me dance.

This is beautiful. ;w;
