Liëka's Deer Factlist

Lyeekha's picture
This is something to add to when I'm bored. The reason I haven't properly written bio's for any of my deer is because I can never be bothered. So I made this, for random facts when I think of them. When I have enough facts about each deer, I shall finally rouse myself to making bio’s. Possibly. I hope so, anyways.

This page will probably start off as a helpful list of all my deer, with no facts attached (except for colour codes), for the same reason as why I have no bio's. I also predict that Iranu and Uvavu will have the most facts when this gets going, as they are the ones that I think of random facts for most. ....at really random times of day. xD

And finally, I would like to apologise in advance. The very nature of this entry means that it will be updated (hopefully) very frequently, so you will be seeing it a lot. My heartfelt apologies go to you, my friend. If you can’t read any of the deer’s colours, please please let me know.

Deer

Liëka
#660198
    ~ Art Reference
~ She follows the Night God.

~ The above does not make her evil. She believes in a balance of light and dark. She respects the Twin Gods and is not ‘rebelling’ against them, she’s just on a different team. (see Miscellaneous)

~ She was adopted as a fawn by the deer called Run, and had a very happy upbringing until.

~ The first piercing she had done was the gold stud in the tip of her left ear.

~ She has a tendency to fall in love very strongly. The first time, the deer in question was in love with another. This made her sad, but after a while she recovered, and they’re still friends. The second time was… complicated. They were together for a short amount of time, and then…stuff…happened, and Liëka broke. She disappeared to the Abyss to recover, and was drifting there for a very long time. Now, I think she is nearly back to normal. Thing is, both I and Liëka are slowly coming to realise she’s in love again, and there’s nothing we can do about it.

~ Liëka is getting on a bit now. I’d say (in human terms) she was about 20 in mind spirit, but she is slower, spends more time basking on the Playground rocks, and tend to spend more time watching Forest nature.

Troll
#458B00
~ He is Liëka’s brother. (And thus uncle of FIU and , all that.) However, Troll is not linked to Run, as he was not around when she took Liëka in.
~ He was approached by the Night God at the same time as Liëka, but instead, didn’t accept. He was a devout follower of the Twin Gods at the time, and didn’t want what he saw as a curse. However, you don’t just turn down the God of Night.

~ Troll has equal powers to Liëka (not the same powers, but equal in strength), but refuses to use them. The only thing he will use is his water abilities, which he uses to spend 99% of his life in the depths of the Pond.

~ He has a hangman's noose around his neck, frayed at the end.

    ~ His antler-candles never light.

FIU
#FF8000
~ Name is FIU, not Fiu. She is named after her pictogram. Her pictogram is FIU.
~ She is the daughter of Liëka and sister of .

~ She has a huge passion for music. It’s her life. Her genre of choice is bhangra and bollywood.

~ If she’s in the Forest and running around and leaping and doing random things hyperly, then I’ve got my music playlist running and thoroughly enjoying myself with her, dancing to the music. Join in if you like, but don’t expect it to make any sense. XP

Iranu & Uvavu
#C77826
If separate (like in RP and stuff):
Iranu: #FF6600
Uvavu: #FF3300
~ These are usually my first choice to RP with. Sticking out tongue
~ They are twins, and are (hopefully) always in the Forest at the same time.

~ Differences betwixt the two: Uvavu is slightly larger built than Iranu, and Iranu has scruffier hair and is more wiry built than Uvavu. Uvavu swears he doesn’t use hair products, but it is suspiciously shiny and well-kempt. Iranu is the faster runner, and Uvavu is the better singer (but there really isn't much in it. They are both very good singers and runners).

~ They love music, and will often be found singing loudly. It often influences their actions; sometimes they do things just as an excuse to sing an existing song about it afterwards.

~ I & U have a habit of inexplicably getting their hands on and delighting on all sorts of gadgetry and odd little items.
SPARKLERS. That last. What more could you want?
    It’s uh… uhm, I guess you could call it a face-mantelpiece?
Not to mention the frying pans, musical instruments, and other stuff that they can seemingly produce from somewhere at any time.
Even they don't know how they manage to find these odd and un-Forest-like items, they only know that they do.

~ In a combination of the two above points, I have an idea that they can both play instruments, though my imaginings are in more of an anthro-half-human way. Tricky with hoofs, though I don’t doubt their abilities if they really tried. I see both of them with acoustic guitars, keyboard instruments and various hand-held percussion, Iranu also with a mandolin and Uvavu also with a flute.

~ In their more sober moments (and other moments too, but they’re so unsuccessful it’s not worth mentioning), they will try really, really hard to chat up lay-deez, but they have trouble separating themselves from each other, so they usually FAIL and then they lose the moment and I WONDER IF WE COULD MAKE A RAINBOW OUT OF CRAZY-GOLF BALLS ACROSS THE EIGHTEENTH HOLE IF WE STEAL THE BALL BUCKET FROM THE KIOSK and run away. And anyway, most does they’ve met find them to be just too odd/random/creepy.

~ They are very close to each other, and have been companions constantly, never falling out once. Such like minds would be harder to find. They are not actually telepathic, but think so the same that they might as well be.

    ~ OK, so... sounds familiar?
I know for certain that some of you know, and maybe some have guessed (though I doubt it...) that Iranu and Uvavu are inspired by Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Note, inspired by. Not meant to be them, in the way that the WLiiA deer are. I wouldn't feel comfortable playing them as them. However, a lot of their quirks and sayings (but not all, I'm not telling you which is which) are taken from R & M. Also, one deer is not always representing the same one of R & M, they swap frequently what person they take lines/quirks/ideas from. And half the time, it's not taken from anything at all, just random stuff I come up with. The names 'Iranu' and 'Uvavu' are taken from Shooting Stars, can't be bothered to explain, go look it up. Sticking out tongue (although I have bucked the trend slightly by interpreting it as ‘Iranu’ rather than the more commonly accepted ‘Eranu’)

~ This is the first time they appeared to the community: short, odd little story

~ Something I’d like people to remember:
I don’t have two computers, so I am running two (at least) Forests on the same unit. This means that I can only get one deer at running speed at a time, but the other can still do walking speed, so moving from place to place shouldn’t be too slow, hopefully. However, it does mean that there is a lag element, and it means that craziness is harder to achieve than if there was only one. So basically, keep that in mind and give us a bit o’ leeway in the whole ‘living up to the persona’ game.

~ They built a wooden platform in a tree fork, which they call their tree-house. Like many things they do, they got the idea from a song. It’s a place for them to stop, and also to store some of their stuff: an inexplicably procured CD-player, a pile of inexplicably procured CDs, a few notebooks full of Uvavu's scribblings of song lyrics and sketches, and several large cardboard boxes, filled with all sorts of odds and ends. They never take the CDs down from the tree, because they get the strong feeling that the Forest would not take to it very well. Sticking out tongue

~ Iranu has a nervous habit of grooming other deer, yet another reason why the twins stick together so much. It would be a bit odd (not in a good way this time) to star preening some deer you don’t know. This way, he can just keep Uvvy’s hair shiny. Iranu admits its an odd habit to have, but there you are.

~ Both deer have a great joy in blowing things up (safely), the favourite object to blow up being a plate of ham, obviously. On a similar note, both deer love fireworks, but it is Iranu who has an obsession with the everlasting sparklers, and always has several of the sticks tucked away in his fur somewhere, ready to whip out and light and mess about with.

Mourner
#660000
~ Before he became what he is now, he was called Bartholomew, and wore the Real Deer pelt, plain real antlers, and the Butterfly mask (as red facepaint, like tribal markings, not a butterfly).

The Female Ghost that Mourner Mourns For
~ She has a name, but I don’t want to go into that yet. I will do soon. Possibly in comic format but don’t get your hopes up
    ~ She’s dead now.

Deer Of Deermuda (DoD)
#FFFFFF
~ They are beings that Liëka created when she was at the peak of her powers.
~ Both singular and plural word forms are correct when talking about it/them.

    ~ They are spirit minions.

Rakiël
#666699
~ Rakiël has come over from the human world, where he was a werewolf, and before that, a student of Egyptology.
~ Because of the above, he has three forms: human, wolf and deer.

~ He believes himself to be a servant of the god Horus.

~ In human form, he is an expert juggler, and has three gold plated balls that he says represent the sun. Rakiël uses them to worship Horus as well as a hobby he enjoys. When he needs to be in human form (in human world) for a long period of time, he street juggles to get small amounts of money.

Irish Elk
#8B4726
~ A real deer. A megalocerous, an Irish Elk, just as it says. Will act like a real deer. Sometimes is very nice to be totally primal in the Forest.
~ He is confused by magic (this not being a natural thing for a deer), but has very great strength and impressive antlers.

~ To know fully about this Irish Elk, go look them up on the internet or something. |D

Yahrl-Li
#FF0033
~ This is a character that was created set-first, and I am still waiting for him to fully develop.
~ The set reminded me of the Ribbon Dancers from Cirque du Soleil, the ones who fly on their wide sheets of silk. So I made this the main theme for Yahrl-Li. I also gave him the Flying Trapeze to play with, as well as the ribbons.

~ The name came from an iScribble conversation, where there was some ‘orly?’ ‘yarly!’ going on for… quite some time. Laughing out loud I noted and commented that ‘Yarly’ pronounced properly as a word sounded like a name, and so I gave it to my at-that-time unnamed new deer. Later, I thought it best to change the spelling (but keep the phonetics), as in this abbreviation-crazed environment, everyone would read it as ya rly!

The WLiiA Deer
#FF00FF
~ …not entirely sure why I include these here. I imagine they’ll just carry on practicing in some isolated corner of the Forest. |D

Miscellaneous

Mythology
There are a few theories that I have created for myself about the mythology of the Forest. For example, the gods.
There are the Twin Gods, of course, who are lightness and bright. They implement the daytime weather cycles.
Then there is the Night God (in real terms, that is how the BZD appears in earlier versions, you know, BAN pelt, no mask, gazelle antlers). The Night God is darkness and black, and implements the night time weather cycles. Between the Night God and the Twin Gods, a balance is created.
Finally there is the BZD, who is Chaos. This god’s job is to upset the carefully laid balance. Even so, this is not an ‘evil’ god: without Chaos, new things would not happen. Like how there would be no evolving life without mutation. However, this god is one that is seen as evil, because chaotic methods are often painful and unclear in what the endgame is (Artemis for example).

Feathers?
There is lot of meaning in feathers. I personally use them a lot to symbolise things. Keep an eye out. Sticking out tongue

Interesting, I like your

Interesting, I like your theory about the mythology of the Forest and the gods! I could actually believe in that. Chaos is painful and disturbing, but necessary. I believe it works the same in real life, to be honest.

Thanks. I've had this idea of the Gods from a very early stage, actually. I find it adds another dimension to the Forest. c:
