A little fan writing for The Journal. Possible spoilers if ye' haven't finished reading what's been posted so far~
Didn't name all the boys, but they're there.

Haile sat against the wall, slowly tapping against the surface. He knew that he could break the wall if he hit it hard enough but the idea of smashing through a wall with his head really wasn’t all that appealing to him. His eyes travelled to Ian, with his short, fluffy hair and the singular peacock streak on a bleach blond crown, who sat on the bed with his head stuck in a book. The book in question was the Grimoire. That book was nothing but trouble, but would anyone listen? Nope. It’d helped them in the past, and therefore was apparently valuable. Haile’s annoyance at this was evident to everyone, Ian especially. Usually bright brown eyes were dulled, stress building as they broke more clocks, and fear inching its way in. He inched closer to the bed Ian rested on, until his shoulder touched the bed’s frame.

“Are you worried about me?” the voice was soft, tired. Shooting a look up, Haile’s eyes connected with Ian’s.

“Always, especially when you’ve got that thing” he grumbled, once again announcing his dislike for the book. They’d been warned to be careful, or rather Ian had.

Looking up, he met the ever soft eyes of Paxton, and his expression was not accusing or anything of the kind. Paxy just had that appearance of a softie, of a nice guy, of someone who was meek; maybe people underestimated him because of it. There was no doubt he was tough though. They all were, and they had to be. There wasn’t an option to cave, they promised one another that they’d escape together, and they would.

Bae was the only one standing, and it was tempting some of the boys to tell him to sit the hell down! Maybe the ‘leader’ thing had gotten to him. He’d been given the number one, after all, and one had to wonder if it had affected him. “Why are you guys so quiet?” he asked, asking the group as a whole. It was Sam who replied, his messy brown hair looked even messier than usual. “Tiiireeeddd” the others murmured in agreement. From beside Rene, Kali’s head poked up. “Bae, get over here! I wanna sleep!” as if it was impossible to do so without Bae on the other side of him. Collapsing beside him, it was only moments before Kali fell asleep. Bae nearly laughed, even if it wasn’t that funny. Was he that tired?

Rene turned to face Bae, a small smile over his lips. “That didn’t take long” and from across the room, somehow Zach heard him despite Bri’s talking, because he responded with. “Li-Li acts like such a child sometimes... How many times did he watch you guys die?” none of the boys responded, they didn’t know and certainly didn’t want to. They could never guess the true figure, but knew it made Fallon’s pink hair pale in comparison. In fact, there could be no comparison.

Oh gods, I already told you what I think of this over YIM, but I need to post here too.
This is amazing the subtle interactions are amazing, you've captured their personalities perfectly as well, especially that interaction between Haile and Ian.

You have no idea how happy this writing makes me, especially since I was feeling a bit down that not many people seemed interested in the story I had taken so much time to write, this cheered me right up<3!

Thank you so much Ammy ;A;
