I See Winter Has Come

I stepped onto the hard ground, patches of snow scattered over the forest. The leaves had fallen since I was last here it seemed like. I wondered if something special was happening... The candles and giant tulips weren't a usual occurrence. I wish I had been here for Christmastime- like I was for Halloween. They say it's the New year's eve. How nice, maybe this new year will bring something special.
I immediately found my way through the falling snow, to the bridge. If it was anything, it was pretty, yet I found no delight in the freezing cold. I sat in the midst of the candles, somehow remained alive and flickering despite the snow. It was warm, the heat reaching through my fur. No one I knew... Besides a few acquaintances I remember I met once. Also... There was something else. Some unfamiliar pictos... Of course, I do not yet pride myself on knowing all the deer here, but they were, well, frankly, somewhat different. In a different way. I must sound crazy, even to myself...
Though, I should probably explore this forest, in it's new mantle of white, despite the lack of heat. I stood, and trotted into the deeper parts of the forest, observing the towering purple flowers more closely. I observed two fawns, that caught my eye, keeping warm together where the 'Blue bowl' normally was. They unusually seemed to have kept their colors, but I can't be sure.
I stopped near the Great oak, and was quite pleased to see the large candle resting inside. Though I really have no idea where all the wax comes from. I entered, and curled up inside, listening to all the deer that 'played' outside, quite silly in this weather. I sniffed, partly from the ridiculousness of it all, and partially because of the affect of the cold. Speaking of cold, I do believe I might catch one. I frowned, closing my eyes. I felt no desire to remain awake in this place, too cold for my taste. Perhaps the snow shall have melted when I next awake. That would be nice...

This was an interesting read,

This was an interesting read, I like the "voice" of your character.

Thank you, though I'm a bit

Thank you, though I'm a bit interested in exactly what you mean, by the 'voice' of her?
