Her ears shot forward toward him, eyes widening "Boris?" she turned and moved toward him slowly. She slowly smiled as she watched him, it was him! She nearly leapt in the air, bounding to him quickly, looking startled "You're back!"

“Yes I am..” He said simply, Working his memory to recall her name. He had heard it when he was searching her, but it escaped him now.. kitty? No.. Katie? No. He had it now. “ How are you..Kita?”

"Good. I missed you" she smiled pleased, blue green eyes flickering pleased as she leaned in, nuzzling his fur lightly, "Where did you go?"

Her nuzzle startled him and he pulled away from her. A lowly beast like her, touching him, how disgusting. His skin crawled. He wanted to punish her for daring to touch him, but he held his control. This Boris she pined for would have probably not hurt her. “You know..here and there.”

She looked confused, tilting her head slowly, why had he pulled away? She shifted, perhaps he had a rough time while he was away.. "Well, I am glad you are back" she smiled warmly at him, tail flicking pleased

“Why?” He asked simply, settling back in. He needed some more information. The doe's nuzzle had stirred and uncomfortable conclusion in him. He was most likely a lover.. ”Damn..” He whispered inwardly

"Because you're my mate silly" she lay herself down beside him, looking up toward his face, smiling lovingly "Who wouldn't be glad to have their mate back after he was gone for so long?"

He froze and sat silently for a long time. Inside he was screaming, an eye twitched. Damn it! What in all hell?? Do all of these things have mates now? What happed to fornicating and leaving like animals should do? What was wrong with this place? His mind went into over drive. Well Night and Asaroth were mates, which he frowned on highly, reason he wanted them dead, but there were more couples in this place, filthy animal couples, how many more demons here had taken deer for mates as well? Oh hell how was he to keep his sanity long enough to kill Night and Asaroth. “I see.” He said finally. “I suppose you would miss me then..”

She tilted her head as she watched him, curling up a little tighter on herself "Are you alright? You don't seem quite like yourself today" she smiled weakly, "Perhaps you need a drink or something to refresh yourself?" She was thrilled to see Boris, but he didn't seem too happy to see her, then again he always was withdrawn and awkward with his emotions.

"I’m fine..just tired. Long walk to get here.” She obviously wasn’t going to be satisfied just being quite and sitting, so he changed the subject, keeping her talking was irritating but, he wanted to see what he could get out of her. “So you were talking to Night and Asaroth, where were they off to?” Maybe he could get himself out of this mess sooner. He hoped.

She blinked a couple of times and shook her head a little, smiling weakly "I don't know. Night Shade didn't tell me. They seem to wander all over the place from what I can tell." she shifted "I was on my way to the pond to get a drink and happened to stumble upon them"

He grumbled irritated. “Yes they do..All over this place.” He hated them even more at the moment. How much did he have to suffer? Those two would pay and pay highly for what they had done to him..forcing him here into a beast and now he was apparently mated to the very thing he hated just to get close to him. “Well…” he changed tactics “Did she say what they were going to do?”

"I believe that they are going to try to find some place safe to wait out the rut. But I am not sure. She said she would see me once this whole thing was over.." she looked at him confused, tail flicking "Why?"

Not helpful. He sighed. Probably held up somewhere, making more worthless babies, like he figured. “When it’s over?” He tilted his head at her. “Not so long a time then..I do not think?” Really he had no idea of deer mating seasons. He guessed when the annoying scents left that would cue him in as to when it was over. “Just taking an interest in your life, your friends and such is all.”

She smiled and nodded, chuckling softly "Ohh alright, well um, usually it lasts for at least a couple of weeks I thought.." she shifted a little, pushing herself up "I planned to get a drink, do you want to wait here or come?"

He frowned and pushed himself up. “I’ll come.” He wished that deer had access to some ale. He needed more than water that was for sure. “You are not interested in this rut thing are you?” he asked carefully. Inwardly screaming again

She looked up toward him, blinking surprised as he asked that then looked back ahead slowly "No, well I suppose not. I am getting older and wouldn't mind a fawn, but I am not desperate to rush around and have as many babies as possible.." she smiled at him, flicking her tail "Besides, not many stags would have an interest in me" she picked her way carefully down along the hill to the edge of the water.

Relief washed over him. “I see..” He knew he could not crush her, but he wanted to make it clear he didn’t want to sire any fawns. “Well..maybe one day you will have one..but, you don’t want mine"

She looked startled before she looked back ahead, ears flicking back hurt "I would be honoured to bear the fawn of my mate." she muttered weakly, lowering her head to the water, drinking quietly.

“Of course.” He half grumbled half sighed. ”I’m sure my fawns are weak hard to raise..die easily..” He hated insulting himself. A beast such as her should be jumping hoops to carry one of his children, but he didn’t want that, not ever.

She looked over to him and smiled, laughing softly "It's alright Boris. I understand, no fawns." she looked back ahead, drinking quietly, they hadn't really spoken about fawns before but she had hoped maybe one day..

He glanced sideways at her, and turned his attention back ahead of him, scanning over the forest. “Umhm..” He grumbled and waded into the pond for a drink. It seemed like they had reached something of an understanding. She wasn’t destroyed by the fact that he had told her no and he didn’t have to touch her. He gazed at his reflection in the water. He snorted, and took a swing at the water with his antlers, sending droplets flying through the air.

She jumped back startled, tilting her head a little as she pricked her ears forward "Are you alright?" she asked softly, moving over toward him a couple of careful steps.

He raised his eyes to her, head still lowered to the water. “Fine.” He continued drinking, keeping one eye carefully focused on Kita. If she got to close he would move. Des knew That in order for his plan to work, he could not keep forcing her away, but he also could not accept her near him. Being affectionate was not in his nature even if it was for the best. There was also another reason, a rather bothersome one. The deer body wanted her close to him and he was not going to oblige.

She gave a little nod "Good.." she smiled lightly and quickly looked over as one of the dragon flies buzzed past her head. With a giggle and a flick of her tail she pranced after it, pausing to watch it land on a swamp reed

Des, frowned and rolled his eyes. Such simple childish creatures deer could be. There were by far more important things to do than chase insects, like finding Night and Asaroth but telling that to her would probably not result in more than a tip of the head. He grumbled and followed after her. She did tell him that she had no idea on their whereabouts. He would have known if she was lying to him…unfortunately she wasn’t. “I can catch that for you?”

She looked to him, blinking a couple of times "Oh I don't need it to be caught..." she whispered, tail flicking "I was just chasing it, for the fun of it" she smiled, watching him curiously.

“That seems a bit… .pointless.” He watched the bug with little interest as it fluttered over the weeds. “You should only chase after things you have a need for, like food.” He licked his lips. “Among other things…” He watched her quietly for sometime lost in his own confused thoughts, as his rational brain and the instinctual deer mind fought for dominance. “Such as...” He snapped out of it and gave his head a mighty shake. “Things of importance in general, but not for fun.”

She tilted her head and laughed "You are silly Boris. Deer do not need to chase down their food." she flicked her tail pleased and pranced away, "Coming?" she looked back toward him, smiling

He frowned. “Silly?” he followed after her. “I am offering you energy conservation advice. I do not plan to enforce it of course. If you want to chase bugs then do it.” At least it kept her busy and distracted. Des snorted, irritated with himself. That before the battle of wills, what was that? He had never experienced such an odd feeling in his life. Sure he had been disregarded by servants before, but never by his own self…if it was himself. He shook his head. “Now you are thinking like a fool.” He thought. “I am better than they are.”

She looked over toward him before she giggled and took off bounding through the trees away from him, pausing and starting to eat at the mushrooms on the tree, glancing past toward Boris

He snapped to attention, watching her bound off. First he was startled then angry. How dare she run from him. ”Why do I care she is not running away. She can't get away.” He didn’t know why he was suddenly so angry. The deer took over again. “But she might..but she MIGHT.” Des tried to rationalize with himself. “No no she is under my spell I have nothing to lose she is mine to control.” The deer lost it. “Control her then, do it she is getting away. She is Yours, no one can have her but you.” Des growled and planted his feet, forcing himself to remain still. “No, damn you.” He glanced back to the doe, eyes darkening as he started to take slow agonizing steps towards her. He wouldn't run. He would go to her, but not like a savage beast “I’m not big on running I’m afraid..”

End of part 2.
***VERY IMPORANT NOTE!!***
AliceV's character Boris (Kita's mate) IS NOT AT ALL IN THIS STORY. This will be important later on but just so everyone is clear, Boris is in no way associated with the story, just Des appearing like Boris to Kita.

I was having a little trouble with the coding so if one is broken please let me know <3
