Father: Jyri (yuy-ri), a buck with the noh pelt and barn owl mask and horns.

the brothers were born where every deer is born, at the old oak.

the first born, Kyo, was birthed at sunset at the beginning of fall when it was still warm but the leaves started turning colors. a few years later, Lucius was born during a spring shower in the early morning when the sun wasn't even out. they all dwelled within the birch forest.

age is really just a number and all deer are pretty lengthy in their life span. the numbers are set out when they are born and are typically in the 10,000s. Lucius set number is 50,000 while Kyo's set number is 43,976. first born is the first to be reincarnated.

Jyri and Marja raised the young fawns until they reached adult physique. during their times as fawns, the two brothers would spend time at the playground. they would also run around the vast forest, chasing others who turned into rabbits, and played with the toads at the pond.

before each fawn turns into a adult deer, they must go throw a meeting with the gods. rarely, do they actually appear, but the event takes place at the statues of the two gods. at the event, the gods may bestow pelts, masks, and antlers.

since Kyo is older, he grew into an adult first. at his event, he received the long mask, a great gift from the gods. it was then bestowed upon him to be a priest of sorts. after his adult form was produced, he then left the family.

at Lucius's event, he received the magpie pelt. the gods then told him to make his way towards the ruins. Lucius did and there he met the one that helps souls reincarnate and pass on. it was then proclaimed that this is what Lucius's future held. deep down in the catacombs he found his gas mask.

now, Lucius did not want to leave his family, but he eventually had to.
