Author's Notes: After a one-day break due to not getting on the computer early enough to start, I have this up now. Though I'm surprised I'm posting this, cuz I had to type stuff earlier not for fun and started this late...
Anyway, I'm rambling.
Can't believe it's chapter 7 already. o.o And we're still in the fawnhood part! Gah. Too long. I hope I get it done soon...

Origins
Chapter 7

The grin on the fawn’s face threatened to split his face in half as he ran through the Forest.

It wasn’t just from the completion of his “set” thanks to the pelt he had decided on.

It was because of the shining “sun” that now floated above his head, between goat-like antlers, known as Orca antlers.

A pictogram that looked a bit like a landscape.

A picto that read “Scape”.

“Woo-hoo!” He leapt into the air, sprinting along towards the pond.

When he reached the shallow water – being careful not to go too deep and wash away his look – the young deer now officially known as Scape gazed at his reflection.

He saw the same dark mask and antlers that helped in determining his name, but now with a different pelt – a dark blue with gold star markings and lines. The Nightfall pelt. A fitting name, as it looked like he could hide in the dark if not for the glowing gold. The blue seemed to shine in the sunlight.

How do you get multiple deer under your name? Are they all seperate accounts?

Poor Anzel...she'd be much better in a written rpg than an mmorpg right now, heh...

Ah well XD; I just kind-of wanted to write.

Shall my master bid me,
I shall strike her horn to toe
Antlers pierce the flesh upon me
Can't escape, I cannot go

I must get stronger still, she says,

And so the scars were painted
On my pelt, my brow, my nose
But nothing could compare
To all the scars I've yet to know

I met him, sleek in dappled pelt
With poppies by his ears
With kind, but saddened eyes
And with a heart so full of woe

One day, he disappeared,
And all my world had turned to pain
For the scars upon my flesh
Were nothing; this was not the same

I felt the antler's prong
Stab through my heart with ample grace
I had to go on through the stabbing
To hide it from my face

And when I saw him; oh, my heart,
It nearly took to flight
I chased him down, and what I saw
Was like a fatal blight

His legs were barely holding him
His frame was rattling, weak,
His voice was frail, cold, and broken,
But oh, to hear him speak...

Oh, Skokey, I have missed you so,
My sweet and kindly prince,
"I lo..." I whispered to him in his sleep,
I couldn't help but wince

"My sweet Skokey," she said beneath
The hum of fireflies,
"Please, never leave me, never go,"
And softly, Fenqua cries...

I'm kind-of depressed right now, so I don't feel like reading it over, but I hope you liked it...*hides*

I owed her something, because she was very nice to me! I took someone's idea of making a cave painting, so I ran with the idea and came up with this!




Edit: The blue thing is the sky! I wanted it to look very primitave, just think of what the cavemen would've thought had they seen him!

They are done.


Whew! After a few days working on and off on these, I got them done.

And just a reminder, ALL REQUESTS ARE CLOSED, this includes icon requests.....I have a few things I need to get done and I don't want a guilty conscience because I'm supposed to be working on something for somebody. :3

And all of the icons are done a different way, just so that you know that I did NOT work on any one harder than I did any of the others. I timed them and they all took the same amount of time, the same amount of effort.

And don't be fooled by Her's icon, that water takes about 5 seconds to make with the filters, I did not hand pixel that. Are you kidding? I'd kill myself if I did that XD
