The knowing eye

To see it again…..

It hurt to see it there lying in the flowers

That thing, that mask

It messed everything up

It was this sign

That told her so many months ago

It was over..

It would never work

sure he had fought hard for her

but it wasn't what he really wanted

She wasn’t what made him happy

It was the masks

It would always be the masks

His passion

He loved them enough to kill for them

This was a tragic sign..

Indeed

However things change

This was now a sign of hope

Hope of a return

An apology

She wanted him to know she had seen his message

and understood it.

Atop the shiny broken pieces she lay a single golden flower

He would see it upon his return and know

That he was missed.

"Sleep well dear friend..I hope you find some peace.."

[Sequence 1] - Nightmare

Cloud lay among the silent stones of the ruins in his favorite patch of flowers. The wind gently stroked the petals of the flowers and the leaves of the trees overhead. Soft sounds of birds and the distant calls of the other deer floated on the breeze. It was a normal, quiet day.
Yet, the gray buck was oblivious. His world was foggy and disjointed with lethargy. How long had it been? Two days? Three? Regardless of the passing of time, sleepless nights were catching up with him. He hardly noticed the activity around him or heard the sounds of the forest or even felt the brush of the breeze on his back.
Cloud’s eyelids finally began to droop unwillingly and he gave in to the call of sleep, even though sleep would only bring the nightmares that he had come to know…and to fear.
~~
Cloud stood at the edge of a precipice. Everything around him was dark and he could see nothing beyond the rock he stood upon. There was no breeze, there was no sound. He was completely alone.
Cloud peered over the edge; a pebble came loose and tumbled down, down, down into the darkness until it was lost from his sight. He wondered for just a moment what lay down there in the all consuming blackness. He wondered if he should jump whether he would plummet to his death or, perhaps, he would land harmlessly. Maybe he would, like the pebble, be swallowed up by the darkness and lost forever.
“Jump and find out,” Unseen voices whispered.
Cloud tilted his head, “Jump?”
“What harm could it do?” The poisonous voices hissed, “Jump.”
The gray buck considered the whispers. He eyed the yawning pit before him. What harm
could [i]it do?
Cloud took a step forward and jumped.
Down, down through the darkness he fell. Much too fast, much too far.

Got my tablet yesterday

I'm doing better now. I'm still not too happy, but oh well. It'll just take some time.

Well, I got my tablet yesterday. I still need to get used to it, but I do like it a lot. I tried out Corel Painter, but I'm more used to Photoshop, so I'll probably continue using it. I drew a really awesome picture of Bai Zhao Chen last night, which you can see here: http://endlessforest.org/community/bai-zhao-chen

Anyways, that's all I have to say

Vex found his goggles at the edge of the forest one day. Another fawn helped him put it on, and they were a surprisingly perfect fit. To get the goggles to go over his eyes, Vex, gives his head a rough nod, unlocking the little mechanism inside the metal latch (located just below his temple). When the goggles fall about eye level, a stopper in the mechanism locks it into place. To have them bounce back to the top of his head, he just gives another rough nod. The strap that goes over the top of his head is made of a stretchable fabric, allowing the goggles to constrict and retract as needed. The goggles themselves, magnify objects so that Vex can get a closer look.
~| Personality |~
Little Mr. Hexington is quite the inquisitive fawn. A bit of a wayward inventor (the best a fawn can be with no fingers), he can be constantly found walking through the forest and observing odd little things he discovers. He's not much of a socialite however. It's not that he distances himself from other fawns, stags, and does, he just doesn't know how to react around them. If one approaches him in the forest and doesn't do anything, he will give them a head tilt to ask what they need. If they greet him in some way shape or form, and then start to do something he doesn't understand, he will tilt his head about 2-3 more times, asking for them to explain their actions.
