WIP, need help, which pelt to use?

WIP I'm working on. Still needs alot of background work. I'm thinking I want a fully forested background instead of the open sky. They still need their pictographs too.

But what pelt should I put on the adult deer?

Gosh, this is gorgeous so far. The fawn's pelt is perfect and I love all of the texture work on that tree. May I suggest the kabuki pelt or even the beluga pelt for the adult deer?

Almost has a storybook feel to it. I like it.
I feel like a brown pelt to sort of "mirror" the tree might be good.

Hooolycow: I guess a “devout” pelt is an option!

Scythe: Thanks! The fawn’s coat I was working off memory as I didn’t have a good screen shot of a fawn with the blue striped coat (which is my favorite fawn coat)

Pegasicorn: Thanks so much, “story book” style art is one of my biggest inspirations. And I was sort of thinking of the monarch pelt for this one too as the dark brown will go well with the tree. I wanted to do the peacock pelt but I think it might be too bright.

I second the Space Beluga

I second the Space Beluga pelt. Its my favorite one. <3

Oh goodness, I just realized I forgot the secondary spikes that go with the skull mask. Doh!

My spontaneous first thought was kirin or peacock. Something green or blue to catch the eye away from the earthier tones, just like the fawn does. But thinking about it, Beluga might be quite nice! I think it a lot of eye-grabbing potential thanks to it's lovely contrasts.
Although, I am also inclined to agree with Pega that brown might be nice! It would make for a very soft and sweet looking picture.
I think you can't really go wrong with any pelt! The only one I wouldn't use is a red toned one, although I guess it depends on how you do it. But personally I would have a hard time working it.

I think it would be very nice with the fan pelt [dark brown with golden stripes] (:
