Definitely feeling the same way...
The community has changed quite a lot. Not in a good way, no one accepts you in a /group/ anymore and it's upsetting and you can't make friends without characters being angry or ignoring you.

I find the same thing, I have different characters that I roll play yet but in forest I just do what ever, I have never roll played in the forest it self never will I don't really see the point of it when you cant tell people you are roll playing especially if most players are not on the community and they cant tell that your RPing or not, and that just causes a whole bunch of silly drama on this community that isn't needed.. If fact as most have noticed I'm more active in the forest then here on the community. All I can say is do whats right for you, don't let others make your decisions and what ever you choose good for you. I hope you find your place where ever you choose.

I mostly just come on the Community so see what people are doing there is too many player made rules and standards now about characters and how you play them it seems, why not just be free willed O-o and do what you want. It seems now that if some one posts they get like 1 or 2 replies and then nothing ever after that. then they are basically ignored. Like me for example ill post something and it ill go for months unnoticed half the time to the point that I just delete the post all together. Probably why im considering giving away all my other pictos sense their characters go unnoticed most of the time. Meh I dont know it just seems like now a days if your not in a certain popular group or been her for years you get pushed aside.

Been here for about 3 years myself only on a different account. and sense then its been steadily getting worse and I'm not sure why.

I know and thanks but Ive tried allot of those things and yet the same thing happens for some reason there seems to be allot of hostility in the community it seems. Also its ok in the forest i just do whatever i dot really care if im alone in the forest. The forest isn't about RPing to me, its about having fun doing what you want care free and peacefully. Even just sitting and listening to the sounds if fine for me. The community however...no offense to anyone this is not an insult merely my opinion of what ive seen, seems allot more hostile to those that don't fit in to the RP ways. But again thats only my opinion on how ives seen people react to different things. Im not saying its everyone either, its just the overall feeling of the community now, im not sure why. It feels pointless to post anything now sense 99% of the time no one replies.

The mini deer with the sideways smiley face picto lol anyway thanks and If i ever do leave it will just be a break from the community O-o so look for a picto form one of my deer in forest Im most likely there. but I'l stay in the community now lol just wont be that active in replying to things that's all XD

Thank you guys for your support . I've been apart of the community for a little over 4 years and I still don't have many friends. I do believe after I finish the requests I'm going to take a break.... I will look for you guys when I return. I will have Skyfall in forest every so often as I love the forest sounds, they are very soothing and a great retreat from real life and all the crap that's been going on lately. When I return I will try to rp with anyone that is willing to deal with my crappy rp skills. Thank you guys.

me, on so many levels. you basically described the problem i found myself in that distanced me from this site/game, and when i log on now, it's not even 15 minutes at max- because i'm not really an RPer or a very good one either.
i also don't have any people who are -already- my friends that play this, so it makes it difficult to get to know people and possibly start an rp.

since we have the same problem you're more than welcome to romp around with me whenever you want. it'd be nice to have a buddy.

To be honest, there are so many times I've been all "I'm leaving for good, waaah" but in the end I come crawling back, regardless of the fact in RP, my character is probably one of the most unlikely to have company.

It can be hard to tell the dedicated RPers from those who don't mind the occasional bout of OOC fun but my suggestion is to just be persistent. I find that most fawns are generally friendly and even some nameless can be good company. Look for deer that are hopping around rather than sitting together, because chances are they'll invite you to join them. From my experience, deer that are sitting together are either AFK or RPing privately. Heck, some might consider you a troll if you try to join in but that's a risk you have to take.

On a final note, if you ever post on the community site, make it known that you've enjoyed your time in the Forest as an OOC/IC experience. It gives other people an idea to your preferences and whether they can expect you to be such in future.

Also as a final note, Walter is up for chillaxing with your deer anytime. OOC or IC, new friends are great.

I'm new in the community and the game, but I've felt the same way you do.
I know that IC characters are just playing along with their personalities and that they don't have nothing personal against me, but I'm a still a person after all and sometimes I get bored or sad if someone is mean to me, in the real or in a virtual world. I mean, the forest it's an unique place, an unique game, and I know that the motions (taunt, fight, etc) were made with the intention to be used, but I don't think that was for making other people feel bad.
And please don't get me wrong, I love role playing in all levels, but I think I'd feel awkard being rude with new players or guests, or players who evidently doesn't know what I'd be doing. I think that it's not actually a game if the other person doesn't know your rules. I wouldn't like to make a player away from the forest.
But you know? the forest it's big, and I always find someone nice willing to spend time with me. Like Verdalas said, most of the fawns and guests are friendly
My character Kío it's sort of a RP character because I made a background story for her and stuff, but her personality is pretty much my personality, so I don't really know how much "role" she actually is hehe. You more than invited to hang around with her anytime you want :3
