Tablet help~

LOL I know I haven't spoke on the site for a while and that I said I was leaving but I realised that was a mistake and I'm sorry Dx

Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a tablet but the problem is I'm clueless on what one to get and what a tablet should have.
I've been told the Wacom Bamboo is good for beginners so I'm wondering if I should get it but I really dunno xD

Can anyone tell me what tablets are good for drawing ? (8
Thanks~

Yea, Bamboo is good for

Yea, Bamboo is good for beginners, especially if you've never experienced the pen pressure sensitivity tablets have. More professional ones take a good deal of practice to get used to the wide range of line thicknesses you get, while the Bamboo has half as much as the higher end ones, but is still pretty good.

Anything by Wacom basically,

Anything by Wacom basically, they are the most trustworthy brand and tend to do the best.

I use a Wacom Graphire which works just fine for me, but really decide what you want to do and then you can find a tablet that fits those needs.

Some tablets are larger and come with all sorts of doodads for various programming and shortcut buttons and all sorts of technical stuff, and they tend to be on the more expensive side and are used moreso by professional graphic designers and the like.

My Graphire is simple and clean and a medium size, it just has the basic pad and pen and is easy to work with. It works fine for me because I don't need all of the extra buttons that I'll never use, I just need it as a mousepad, and something to draw on, so it works.

They also have smaller sizes, which are just as good, they basically do the same thing as a bigger tablet, you just have less room. To me it would be great to start off with something like that if you only want to fool around with some painting and stuff and don't need all of the extras.

I...don't know what to say about the bamboo, yes it's nice and new and shiney, but to me, it never really did anything different than my Graphire. But it is a good tablet.

The best thing to do is go online to the Wacom's website and browse their models, and to browse the web sites of your local electronics stores to see what models they sell and for what price. Or just swing on over to amazon.com. Just compare prices and models and see which one suits your needs the best, because every person has different preferences in tablets, because they all have different levels of needs for them.

Welcome back, Star

Welcome back, Star *huggles*

Well I'm not much of a tablet user since I'm most comfortable with using a pencil and paper, then coloring on Photoshop on my laptop touchpad. But I do sometimes use one and the one I have is a Bamboo. It's preety good and I normally use it for MSN doodles
