Rain.
The sound calms the souls of all, be them good or bad.
The rain hit my's cool skin as the night wore on. Alone in the little hole I had found in a wall of the ruins. Every once in a while the call of a raven or the flash of lightning would capture my attention.
Fawns flitted here and there every once in a whle, splashing about and playing in the rain. Sometimes they would stop and stare at him. The monster hiding in the walls they called me. I was just another scary bed time story to keep the fawns in their flower patches for the night.
But...One of the fawns was walking twords me. Were they not afraid like the rest of them? Warning them to go away, I pressed my auds against my neck, giving a low hiss, but they still came closer.
Stopping before me, they paused as a cold breeze blew by. Closing the space between us, the fawn sat down beside me in my hiding space, easily curling up and falling soundly asleap.
I laughed under my breath. I must be loosing my touch.
But...nobody called for the missing fawn, nobody seemed to be worried. Sighing, I curved my body around theres. I may be cold, but I can at least give some form of support for this lonely, yet brave little fawn.
