This is probably a very silly question, but...

Despite having been around TEF(c) for a while now (with some breaks in between), I still have a very hard time interacting with others.

I don't mean roleplaying or chatting, however. I'm talking about in the actual game itself. I've never really played with too many other deer before... Not for over a few minutes anyways, I think. I usually am able to enjoy the game by myself, but it gets a little lonesome after a while.

So I guess I'm asking, what do you actually do when you meet other players/characters? Do you just hop around with them and dance, with occasional spell-casting? I feel like that's all I've really thought to do, and I'm afraid to bore whoever I play with, especially on a one deer-on-one deer meeting. :/

I am pretty anxious socially, and awkward. That doesn't help. Even if it is just a computer game about people-faced deer, interacting seems just as difficult as it is IRL. Am I just being silly? >.< I know it's just a game, after all, but I would really like to play with others more often...

I'm afraid I can't help you,

I'm afraid I can't help you, just wanted to say that I have basically the same problem. I just can not by any means make my characters actually interact with someone and that's why they're alone as hell. So you're not alone in it. ♥

I like running in circles

I like running in circles myself. I usually try to jump over other deer (since it's impossible to crash). Dancing is good too, and spell games. After a while I like to just sit down with people though.

Jennie: we can be lonely

Jennie: we can be lonely together, lol! Awh, at least we aren't alone with these feelings. I always thought you're characters were really cool. Eye Maybe we can be socially awkward together in the Forest. :3

AlisonRobin: I guess I'm glad to hear other people do enjoy those activities, then. c:

Anything you do after bowing

Anything you do after bowing and sniffing is good. But people will get it if you bow and sniff and just start running. If the hard part is approaching, then you will stay stuck alone a lot. Sad

:c Yea, that's kinda the hard

:c Yea, that's kinda the hard part. I really don't approach, because I figured the way I play was too boring. I often wait a moment to see if my company would like to start an activity, or if I should be the one to engage them in play. cx I think I over-think it way too much.

If you approach you can do

If you approach you can do anything you want. Even if you just want to bow and sniff and then stand next to someone doing nothing that is usually just fine.

Since talking (unless you

Since talking (unless you include bellowing) isn't enabled, it's not so easy to interact with other deer. I don't tend to go looking for other deer to romp around with, but if I ever do, I find it best to politely approach and begin with a bow. It's up to them if they reply with one or invite you to play (usually by skipping), and if they don't, you can always try.

There's many combinations of body language emoticons/actions which you can use as well, so your movements don't always have to be black and white.
